I hope it's not true. I'm too old for it to be an issue, but taking ANY rights away from women just takes us more back to the "good old boys" days of women being "less" than men - and we know that's not the case.

DotRen, amyrs, Very upsetting news. Will be interesting how it plays out. Connecticut so far will keep the right to an abortion.

I try not to use the A word. I don't always succeed in doing so but I prefer to say "a women's right to choose". It's her body and her choice.
We seem to be going back to the dark ages as far as women's rights go.
Women need to stick up for themselves. I can hardly believe I still have to say that, and yet I do.
In the good old days when this topic was discussed out loud you would hear things like, "her body, her choice. Or, "if men got pregnant an abortion would be a sacrament." Those were the days.
It takes two to tango but only one keeps on dancing year after year, after year.

Roberts responds to leakI agree with him on one part, but not for the reason he seems to think "In a separate statement, but released together with the one from the court, Roberts called the leak a "singular and egregious breach" of trust"Yes, it is - a breach of trust to US -the women of this nation.

We have a trigger if the law is overturned. But so far Iowa, Illinois and Minnessotta which border us don't.

I am so tired of the argument that the right to abortion is not in the constitution. Neither is abolishing slavery or 26 other amendments to the original document. How about the 2nd Amendment which they so adore? Sooo annoying. I guess any amendment that dates from the 1700s is OK.

there is the ninth amendment and there are the fourteenth not imaginary amendments. those allow lot. He goes back to witchs in the 16th century cause he cant quite4 find a closer ally.

I'm loving that the new WH press secretary will be the first Black and openly gay WH press secretary. Representation is huge! I was wondering when he was going to hire a person of color for that role. I admit I was a little surprised when Jen was hired but she's been phenomenal so it makes sense. I saw Karine speak and she's fabulous as well. Very much looking forward to her putting Doocy in his place 84 times over.

I so agree. I've heard her interviewed also and was impressed. She's been Deputy Press Secretary for a while.
