This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of โa lotโ is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. Weโre in this for the long haul.
Weโd also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

I appreciate all the support I get here. sunrose - Hope you are getting some relief from your pain irisinnia - Hope you are doing well wwlurker - Just in case you check in here, I'd really love to hear how you are doing lindasB12 - I'd love to hear how you are too And I'd love to hear from anyone else who used to post in our thread I'm hoping I can get motivated to do better this month. I know one of my biggest problems is bringing junk food into the house. If it's here, I can't resist it. So I hope to be stronger and resist it when I go shopping. I also hope to start walking again, even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes a day. Take care everyone!

Hi sunrose - It's good to hear from you. I hope as long as things are about the same, that your pain isn't any worse. Weight loss wise things are crummy for me. I'm just out of control and really not sure how I can turn this around. Besides the fact that I know I just need to do the work involved with losing weight, I think I have two problems that I really need to work on. The first is learning to only eat when I'm hungry - I rarely ever eat for hunger The other one is that I have these "rules" in my mind, based loosely on the Good Health Guidelines, that I have to eat fruits, vegetables and dairy each day. There's nothing wrong with that but I find that I'm forcing myself to eat those things even when I'm not hungry (the hunger issue again). I need to figure out how to let go of those "rules" in my head and learn to eat only when I'm hungry. Of course I also need to get the junk food out of the house so that when I do eat it's healthier choices. I just need to get to the point of putting in the effort required to lose weight and remind myself how much better I will feel when I do Hope anyone checking in is doing well

Cj59, everything you said I can relate to. Iโm trying not to eat by the clock and wait until I get a little hungry at least. I too need to clean out the stuff in my house. All Iโm doing is treading water with my weight which is up way too high.

Hi sunrose - I hope that both of us can get better at eating only when we are hungry My weight is also up and starting to affect me physically, so I hope I can get it under control. I meant to say yesterday that part of the problem I have with feeling I have to follow those "Good Health Guidelines" each day is that once I do get them done I feel like I'm free to eat anything else - especially junk. So I'm forcing myself to eat these things as quickly in the day as possible so then I'm free to eat junk the rest of the day - just crazy! I know that a big part of what I need to fix is my thought process. Hope everyone checking in is doing well.

Well I had an unpleasant wake up call yesterday. I saw a recent picture of myself that I didn't know someone was taking (and I'm not happy it was taken). I really had been deluding myself about how bad I look. It was a shock to see myself. I figure this will either motivate me to get on track and lose weight, or sink me a bit deeper into a depression I always deal with I hope all of you are doing better. Take care

Hi sunrose - Hope you doing well and feeling better. I hope we can both get motivated too. I copied the picture and put it on my desktop PC so I can click on it maybe it will open my eyes. I also bought a new fitness tracker and I'm hoping I can get it set up and start wearing it. I did so much better when I was counting my steps each day. Hope anyone checking in is doing well

Hi cj59. Yay on the new tracker. I attended a ww workshop this morning. It was good. I gained another 2.2 ๐๐. Great idea in putting the picture where you see it often.
