Bbbearsmom, "making up their own truth" does sound a lot better than what I'd call them. You are too kind and very good with words.
I'd say they're a bunch of lying, crying, cheating, sore losers.

Ken Burns latest The U.S. and the Holocaust is scarily relevant. A great history lesson. I knew much of it but there are always something new. It says Hitler's "living space" (expanding Germany into Russian) was linked in his mind to America's expansion into the continent, the genocide of the Jews compares to Native Americans here, and the Nazis studied our Jim Crow laws when they started discriminating against their Jewish population. Also the fear of immigrants goes way, way back. News flash, everyone here bar the indigenous population is an immigrant. The Johnson-Reed Act of 1924 instituted a quota of 3% of the U.S. population from each country as of the 1910 census. However there was no quota for immigrants from the Western Hemisphere. Asians were completely excluded. I've only seen and hour and a half of the first episode, but this seems to explain why so few Jews fleeing Germany and other Nazi controlled countries were able to come to the U.S. The U.S. did take in more than any other country. Highly recommend watching this. I have been watching this and totally agree. Yesterday I went to a class/presentation on the Japanese Internment in New Mexico. I knew there had been an internment camp in Santa Fe (which is not far from Los Alamos where the Manhattan Project was underway), but didn't know there were three other camps in the state. We broke into small discussion groups and just about everyone was watching the Ken Burn's documentary and remarked on the similarities.
Laws and such go way back. 1790 Naturalization Act, which restricted U.S. Citizenship to "any..free white person." 1798 Alien Enemies Act
And they go on and on from there. We may like to think we're the "land of the free, and home of the brave" but we've fallen short so many times.

Trump is being sued by New York State. And of course he's already whining and ranting about it.

DeSantis is indeed just as bad! Mr. Bible Thumbing Loves His Christian Faith DeSantis has no problem doing the exact opposite of biblical teachings and carting off a bunch of people in need to dump on someone else's doorstep all the while lying to them and underhandedly doing things that he and his band of losers know will get them permanently kicked out of the country (like providing a fake address at which they don't live so that when they are ordered to appear in that jurisdiction's court within the next few days, they won't be around there anyway and won't have gotten the notice to begin with).
Regarding Trump, Brian Tyler Cohen had a funny video a few weeks ago that had a Trump clip of him complaining that the FBI left the classified documents in a big messy pile in his house to make it look like he had them like that. As though the main thing he's being accused of is being messy. Not the fact he had actual stolen classified documents to begin with.

DeSantis is indeed just as bad! Maybe even worse since he isn't as crazed. We'll see if he can inspire that same cult-like devotion as You Know Who.

I hope NY can successfully prosecute him and his thug brigade, I mean family. You KNOW that's why he wouldn't ever release his tax returns, because his "wealth" is a big cheeto colored lie.

Anne Frank was in such a ship and they refus4ed her admittance and you know what happened No, Anne Frank was never on a ship. Her father tried again and again to get them visas to leave, but never got them.

I remember reading the article about Anne Frank and what happened to her family in Life magazine back in the 1950's. It was when the movie came out. I cried reading the article but didn't cry when I saw the movie.

Anybody else sick and tired of still seeing and hearing the orange oafs face and voice each and every day?
Dear Media people, please stop. Make him go away now. Isn't there anyone or anything more important or interesting?
You can do better. I know you can. You can do it!
Enough already. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.
He makes US look dumb and dumber.

General comments don't have the news article source. So, a high placed Republican in Arizona said that there were very few voter fraud cases in Arizona and that meant Republicans needed to stop getting upset about it (paraphrasing). The woman behind all the voter fraud hype said this just proves the investigators aren't doing the work to find the cases and they need to ask why they aren't doing the work. Aha! Found the story: www.rawstory.com/arizona-voter-fraud/

a high placed Republican in Arizona It's Rusty Bowers, who has testified in the Jan. 6th hearings decrying the false claims of voter fraud. He also has said if Trump is nominated again, he will vote for him. Okay....
