Greetings! I started keto in February 2022, lost 80 pounds. I am close enough to my goal now that I need to start looking at a more healthy, balanced diet plan that I can finish off with and maintain. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Take your time adding starchy carbs back in and reducing fat. Stick to natural carbs, not highly processed. Adding like 1/2 cup of sweet potato to meals, or quinoa(a seed, not a grain), ezekiel or thin sprouted whole grain bread (1 slice, not 2) to get you started. Set a limit per week - like 45g carbs a day for 1-2 weeks, then up that to 60 (or about 1 extra slice of bread). Don't get frustrated if you gain a little at first because of the transition. Supplements like berberine will help keep your blood sugar level, which can help a lot during the transition

gregkal welcome to the boards and congratulations on your loss! DotRen gave great advice as usual, I just wanted to stress the "don't get frustrated if you gain a little at first" part of it. Feel free to join on in for support, we've got a great group over on the General Board to get you started here 🤗

Thanks Deb! Yeah, I have read that going back to carbs I can expect to gain up to 8 pounds, initially. I'm pretty self-disciplined, so I think I can carve it back off in time.

Nice to meet you gregkal. I am new here, too. I lived low carb .... ( not continuously) for years now. LOL! Portion control is what I had to learn and skimming down the fats after moving to WW's. This new WW program really speaks to me. It's a lifetime journey and it's easier to have people to talk to that are going through life's ups and downs .... just like you.

Hey everyone! I am just learning the boards here ... so bear with me. I am Sandy, 71 yrs young and married to a wonderful Brit who is skinny as a post. He can eat anything but he is a diabetic and has heart disease .... sooo .... he is learning about low carb to keep his blood sugar down. Protein and veggies work for me!! I can also plan for celebrations and life's little happenings with WW's and not feel guilty about it. Think this go around I am finally catching on.
We live in the VA mountains near WV TN and NC.
Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to sharing this journey with ya'll.
