This challenge was created five years ago by a few Weight watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan.

Good morning Canners! It's fun to hear about each of you around the country, although I think we need some "midwest participants"!! Yes I can- today: -enjoy professional tasks -prep for upcoming vacation: we leave Friday for two days visiting DM in Fla- then 11 day cruise..which I will navigate into a spa vacation. I know enough about cruise life- that I think I can navigate a weight loss:-) -begin to consider a volunteer activity -enjoy the journey! A good time to consider 2017 goals... what are you thinking? short term? Long term? Happy Tuesday to all.. -

Good Morning! love light blessings love light blessings love light blessings Sally with you on out of sorts, hope you made it to zumba. Enjoy the gym onboard, I understand all cruises offer vegetarian options and there go half your calories. Jan thanks for reviews, Mom and I considered both of those as they are both playing in Georgetown. I did not know avocadoes were good for you. Thanks for justifying one of my favorite guilty pleasures! Yummo and they are in season now. Nat that sounds horrific, warm and humid in Central Texas again. Very odd. 2017 goal, is to rebuild my life. I hope to write another journal article as sometimes those yield business.
YES I DID: log and journal for yesterday. Try to plan ahead for today. Because it is so pretty I have done a lot of walking. Took Mom into Austin to sit by beautiful Town Lake which is now called Lady Bird Johnson Lake. And Mom is from the midwest. It is 70 in Saint Louis as well!
YES I CAN: practice law, do another load of wash, make a shepherd's pie, find time to walk and hit the gym. Losing the weight I have gained since I moved here is part of putting my life together.
last night we rented a movie on the computer. did y'all know you could do that? from google. cheaper and easier than driving to the dollar movies in Round Rock. Ms. Peregrine's peculiar children. We both liked it. (but might not if I had to pay more and drive)
love light and blessings janet

Happy Tuesday.
Sally: How is your Mom's health? Better I hope. Have a great time on your vacation. Enjoy your New Year's cruise.
YES, I CAN... --keep on with the healthy habits of the past 2 days. --Jazzercise tomorrow night. Maybe a walk with my good buddy? --plan meals for this week.
YES, I DID... --go to my WW meeting this morning. --give myself credit for adopting some healthy habits this past year. This was the WW weekly topic. --mow the lawn this afternoon, rake, sweep etc.
AOTD: Short term goal...do not use the excuse of New Years to overeat. Long Term Goal: I really want to lose that 10 lbs that I have been trying to lose. Last year we had a lot of challenges with the loss of my Mother-in-Law, hosting a large family memorial for her, Sister-in-Law living with us for 6 months, and of course my Mom healing from her broken leg, kidney stones, and a bike crash. I hope this new year is much less stressful. That really helps in weight loss.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday!
Jan

Late evening check in! I've been thinking on goals this morning Sally. Too tired and haven't got them concrete yet, but I was reminded gently today that this year has been an angry year for me. So that will be the top of my list to change. I will see you all tomorrow. Long work days right now. More snow coming Friday....knock on wood....though I know my friends on the other side of the mountain are done with the "snow play people" clogging up the highways! Blessed to be able to work at home and not have to venture out in the mess too much. Nat

🐣Hi, positive peeps!
Just a quick check-in, the day got away from me, LOL! Short-term goal is to establish better eating habits, less chaotic mealtimes. I'm really glad we decided to have friends over for our annual Boxing Day gift exchange, as it forced me to declutter big time. My kitchen table is completely clear for the first time in months. It was so much easier to work in there today with a little breathing room!
Back tomorrow to post more.
Be well! Carol
