So sorry…..yesterday just caught up to me. I worked, got my flu shot and then had to watch DGD#1 while Dd had a doctor appointment- then practice at church at 7, which got me home at 9. Not a bad day, but a long one.
Dd #2 came over with her little fellow and it was a pleasant day, they were here a long time. I made banana bread and a quiche- knowing that Dd loves quiche. So today has been busy also, but I am settling in for a quiet evening.
Ruth, glad you made your November list- and wow, you sure did exceed your October goal! And I am so glad your grandson is ok after that incident. There seems to be a ton of craziness out there- so many think they can hurt and destroy without consequence. Just glad your DGS is ok.
CJ- from what I have seen of scrappy quilts is that they are not meant to be seen up close, but from a distance where all the fabrics and colors play off each other. Your scrappy quilt is cute- and while I know you are not a scrappy fan, I hope you are encouraged to try this again….it came out well and the memories of each fabric to you sure make it interesting. I always like to see if a fabric is repeated and where, its sort of like a puzzle to me. The pineapple block is adorable- I like all your blocks but mention the pineapple block because I can see myself perhaps making a quilt with just that using different fabrics. Sort of like you did with the CHristmas mug block.
Going to go read for awhile. I took a digital book out from the library and only have 2 weeks to complete it. Its interesting- its a novel about a Ukrainian sharpshooter during WWII - a woman. A true story written from her memoir, into a novel. Its pretty good and I “attended” a virtual lecture by the author the other night, and decided to take the book out
Gonna crochet awhile after my movie comes on.
