We got our absentee ballots inSeptember and mine got back to the city clerk by September 30. I had indicated at the beginning of the year I wanted absentee ballots for the year . I faxed a copy of my ID and a letter at the beginning of the year to send absentee ballots to me.I do that each year.

DH and I have had absentee ballots for decades. Now in Calif. everyone gets one mailed to them. So far less than 20% have been returned statewide.

I'm really hoping that the early bird republicans will lose out to the election day democrats!

It concerns me there are so many, too many, trump supporting people. I can't call them MAGA supporters because they are not making anything great.
They are destroying our country, making democracy look like a mockery around the world, making US citizens look like a bunch of wild, out of control, immature, goofy people, who cheer on and voted for a silly talk show host to be our president, our leader.
Greatest nation on the planet? Which planet? A planet in a comic book?
"Where there is no wisdom the people perish."

I have to finish filling in my mail in ballot. So many propositions and judicial seats! I wanted to make sure I’d done my research. I’ll drop it in the nearby official ballot box on Monday.
Hoping Beto can pull it off in TX but feeling bummed as the polls don’t look good. Too many Texans love a man who couldn’t give two shits about them and will gladly sit back while their children freeze to death or get lined up against a firing squad in their own classrooms or grocery store.

I am wo worried because our elections are tight. I hope Mandela and EEvers win. I think a lot o f people over 65 registered because of senator Johnson's threat to dev away with Social Security. At least I think so.

amyrs, I am really disgusted with the politicians that care calling social security an "entitlement". You pay into it all your working life and you earned it, it's not a freaking handout.

I have seen predictions that the Senate race vote count may drag on - for weeks. At this point, I just want to know the result whatever it may be.

Social Security is NOT a handout.
Liars have to stop saying that and those who believe the lie have to stop believing it. It's MY money that was taken out of MY paycheck every week for MY retirement. At 17 the retirement thing was a very long way off.
For 30 years it was put away for me. Now all of a sudden it's a handout? A handout from who? Me?
When will people get sick and tired of lying, cheating, politicians? When will people take an interest in politics as much as they are interested in sports and other entertainment?

Disgusted with my fellow Texans. I know 3 people, personally, that voted 3rd party because they didn't like Beto or Abbott -and I told them they voted for Abbott then. I can imagine that was the "logic" of thousands that might have turned the tide for Beto. I can't stand Beto, I think he's smarmy, but he has to be a better Gov than "keep your guns, it could have been worse" Abbott.
