The Mind 🌷 Body 🌷 Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:
Daily Affirmation Fitness Goal or report Health Goal Gratitude

Affirmation - White bread is gross! I wouldn't even consider eating it! health goal - light eats fitness goal - power cleaning today gratitude - getting my house clean, what a luxury! So I had a run in with bread yesterday. I stopped at this little italian catering place for a salad, and it came with a nice chunk of bread, which I ate one slice. Took the remainder of the huge salad home for dinner and scarfed down the rest of it. It was like 1/2 a loaf. To add insult to injury, I found a small section of a sand DS left here form the previous day, which I also ate. THEN... DH came home with pizza and I had a piece. ?? What am I doing? I'm trading time with a GF, I am helping to install her landscape that I designed, and she is coming to help me do windows today. Such a deal! I actually like windows, but just short on time. Of course it's really cold, damp and forecasted rain, which is not ideal, but we will work with it. Suzanne, how do you like your Kabootie? Does it really help? Carol, I like the idea of wearing the fitbit as a reminder to move every hour. I don't remember mine doing that. Pat, I never heard of standing pilates. I think gardening is very much like yoga and pilates. Especially in garden beds with lots of plants. Some of the positions I have to get into and keep stable while working are really challenging. That is one thing I really like about it.

Good Morning!
Lisa, thank you for getting us up and running. My Kabooti is great. It has helped with both tailbone pain and lower back pain. I'd seen them around. It was when my PT said, after listening to my complaints and theories, "You need a Kabooti" and she brought one in and showed me what it was. This PT is a pelvic specialist so she really knows her way around from mid-abdomen to mid-thigh. Why these office chairs slope downward in the back (tailbone area) is beyond me. The Kabooti is well worth the try. And you can carry it with you. Car seats are another disastrous-design.
Lisa, the other day, you'd mentioned Hawaiian wind chimes. What are they made out of and where did you get them? I agree, gardening is like the yoga, especially when you're working among existing plantings! LOL! That's what I was working on on Wednesday and I am still feeling the burn from the gardeners' stretches. (I'm off to the nursery this afternoon to get more plants.) I hope the weather cooperates and allows me some planting time, again tomorrow.
Pat, yesterday you mentioned the ergonomics of office chairs and a 'task chair.' I googled 'task chair' and it looks pretty much like what I've got. But let me know whats new on the ergonomic-horizon. I'd get a new chair if there is something new that will improve my sitting posture. (A standee-desk would probably be a good move.)
Carol, I love the idea of your Fitbit alerting you to move periodically. I don't think mine does that. But I could certainly come up with an alarm system. Or maybe a zap from my chair?
Daily Affirmation: I know what is right for me. I trust my instinct and choose what is right for me. And everything does (or doesn't) happen for a reason. Fitness Goal: to keep moving, gently, and get my ankle back in dancing-shape. Health Goal: Day 5 of WW Renewed Spirit and still sticking to points. Onward.... Gratitude: Cooler temps today and tomorrow.

Good morning ladies! Nice to see you bright and early Miss Bliss. I wonder if your carb dive yesterday was driven by how busy and tasked out you are? It's a new day and I know you will work it off. Standing Pilates is fun - sort of like low key ballet exercise and it works the muscles differently, especially the lower body and booty. Suzanne it sounds like your ankle is still bothering you. Yay to day 5 of renewed WW spirit! Good morning to Carol if you come by. Whew it was brutally hot yesterday. Managed a short lunch walk but came running back inside. It was 98 degrees all last night and dripping humidity - yuk! Daily Affirmation - I can and will make better choices. Fitness Report - short walk and Margaret Richard for calves, chest, inner thighs, abs and obliques. Health Goal - stay hydrated and maybe yoga tonight. Gratitude
