This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7" and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Morning Andrea and those to follow. Just here, making a routine of my day. Going to track and get started.
Martha, hope you stop by to say hello. Thinking of you.
MCAT - so sorry to hear of the news. I had to let out a little giggle of the chaos your mother's "medical degree" created. Fingers crossed that the trial brings good results.
Susan - so much going on for you. I'm sure you are treading into unknown waters, but holding out good thoughts for DF. How was your fundraiser?
T - I must be out of the loop where DD and DS jobs have landed? ET phone home!
Frieda - I need Yoga! I think it would be good for me. I need to schedule my life around working out instead of vice versa.
Who did I miss? My brain is tired, off to work we go. Waves to everyone near and far.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies.
Not a lot to report here, fortunately or unfortunately. DDad is still not really eating or drinking and DMom is at her wit's end. DDad was supposed to go to the hospital today to get his CT scan and qualify for the clinical trials. They weren't able to go because he was too weak to get in to the car. DMom called the doctor; she got a return call from the nurse, and she was very frank with the nurse that she can't get him to do more. They are also getting a visit today from the medical social worker and PT nurse. I think this confluence of events should result in DMom getting the help she needs. At least, that's what I think. In the meantime, DMom is trying not to lose it, and the rest of us feel powerless. Fun, fun! Argh.....
Martha, I'm sure you're too busy to check in, but know that I am thinking of you, your loss, and of your family. Big hugs.
Andrea - thanks for starting us off. Did the snow melt?
Colleen, I had to giggle at your FB post about tenderloion/pork tenderloin vernacular. I haven't been to a ton of places, but I always marvel how each region has their own way of doing and saying things. In Milwaukee, it wasn't a water fountain - it was a bubbler.
T, how did DD's trip to Seattle go? Is she still considering relo? Yes, what was the gig that DS got?
Frieda, I too hope your madness ends soon. It will be good for everyone to find some semblance of routing. That was when DS and I started to heal. I could use something yoga-like for sure. Not sure what that is yet....
I am thinking of everyone.....thanks, everyone, for your thoughts on DDad. It's been a weird road.

Hello CATs! I realized I got distracted and never posted after starting the thread...dang work gets in the way of all my fun!!
Snow is melting fast...let's hope that's all for this season!! Counting down the days until the longer holiday weekend. Of course, that means the RV and Camper show starts in earnest for those of us living up one of the westward highways...best to stay off those roads on the weekends. I'm looking forward to some vacation days now that the audit is nearly done. I have to get almost 60 hours of continuing education in before the end of the year so I'm trying to schedule some webinars for the next few months. What else? Oh, DNephew graduates from kindergarten on Wednesday; DNiece has her pre-school program that same day (yay - a 1/2 day vacation!).
Martha, thinking of you and sending hugs!
MCat - I'm keeping your DDad and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Susan - fingers crossed for some good health news for DF.
Colleen, sounds like you are figuring out your new hometown!! Hope you find some R&R amidst all your wedding plans.
Frieda, thanks for trying to keep me and the rest of us on track. I hope the crazy in your life settles soon.
Shari, sounds like you had a busy weekend. Such great pics on FB - happy day!!
I'd better run...well, walk. My walking buddy is beckoning and we may have a day or two of rain this week so must take advantage of the sun at this moment. Have a great day everyone. Thinking of you all on this fine Monday!!!

Hello!
Mcat: I sure do hope your DD gets everything he needs, and your DM gets the help she needs too. I can't imagine having to deal with that all long distance!
Susan: I too am holding good thoughts for your DF.
Colleen: If you could add Yoga to your already busy schedule I would. I find it extremely restful and just lovely. I look forward to it every time I do it. It's not a calorie burner, just a stress reliever! But somedays I do the TM for cardio and Yoga for restorative work. It's a win win.
I am so sorry to ask this, but can I get a roll call on the BD's this past week? We aren't focused this go around. We were great at the starting gate, then got injured or something before we made it around the track once. What are we going to do??
Andrea, can you plant flowers where you are?
Anyone else looking forward to House of cards? I need to think about what to plan for the weekend. I know I want to fill my pots and flower basket. Maybe take out the pool furniture.
Oh. I went to my meeting and was up 2. Wrong direction. I do know what to do. I felt so much better by going to my meeting. One of my personal goals is to get to bed early a few nights a week to enjoy my downtime AND get up early to get my TM in on the days I just can't get it in. I used to do it at night sometimes, but that isn't working out so well anymore.
OK toodles!
