Good evening! Got home a couple of hrs ago....laundry just about caught up so we can repack & be on the road again tomorrow mid morning. This time we're headed to dh's hometown. We'll stay with his brother/DSIL . There will be at least one of their boys & family there....most likely another grandkid or several....so the commotion continues 😉 We'll take his dad (94 yrs old) out for dinner & visit at his place, too.
Skimmed thru Tuesday posts....like the ideas for the next challenge. Must get my head ready to get back in the game. Have been indulging in the holiday foods & beverages, & we're not done yet! Out of town / meals with family / NYE ....oh my!
Turning in early....too many late nights / poor sleep / early wake ups by dgd....looking forward to my own bed tonight.

ANGIE have a great time and continued safe travels!
Laundry is done and I'm packed. I mean really, how much do you need to go home, casual style for 4 days? Not much. Bills are paid, checks made out to take home, everything else is ready. I'm going to watch a little TV and hit the bed. I need to be ready and drop Lu off at 8.

BECKY though I'm not a huge fan, if I had a box or raspberries i'd definitely eat them. Instead I took a scoop of Paleo Fiber. It's GROSS. Metamucil isn't bad but it's from psyllium grain so I'm not supposed to have it. This stuff is UGLY and the scoop is BIG. It better work.
Louise I'm NEVER not hungry dang it.
SANDY what lake is the house on? A big lake? Fishing? Any kind of water sports, swimming or boating? I'd love to be right on the water even though I don't fish and will NEVER swim in a lake.
OMG SANDY you're a real gadfly. Your bed called me and said it was LONELY. LOL
Boy oh boy the allergy tracker says the allergy levels are low but I'm telling you I've been coughing up a lung. I've been using the Dymista nasal spray as well as Flovent inhaler, Singulair pills for asthma AND antihistamines. All to no avail. My nose is dripping, my chest is congested. I'm a wee bit of a mess. And I don't know the cause. If I'm not better in by Monday I'm going to the doctor b/c this is my bronchitis/asthma time of year and it's been at least 2 years w/o it so when I get it, it won't be pretty.
Off to get ready for bed. Petey had a good day. Bob... well Bob is Bob. And I guess I'm ME! LOL Night ladies.

ANGIE- Welcome home!
I woke up mid afternoon on Tuesday and had trouble going back to sleep. Called to change appointment for colonoscopy. Got answering machine. Bet that gets fouled up.
Got my steps in for the second day in a row. Had a grilled chicken salad and roasted veggies for supper. Did have a few Christmas cookies. Will be glad when they are gone. DH announced he is ready to start watching what he eats again. That makes life easier. I need to start tracking again regularly. And I need to go buy some bottled water. I actually drink it if it is already bottled. DH wants to lose 20 pounds by July. I need to lose 15-20 by then.
Am wondering if anyone would be interested in posting their daily results for January for: Water intake Tracking Activity Seems like these are the three biggies for me. If I feel like I have to post them daily it might keep me accountable.

Sandy.....burning the candle on both ends pretty well sums it up for this time of yr. House on the lake sounds nice. A new one built to order would be fun, too....decisions decisions.
Suze....safe travels to you! Hope you have some fun family time & that you can makes some progress on wrapping up the legal matters, too.
Celeste....so glad your visit with the CPA was favorable. How is Petey progressing?
Louise....yay for a better night of sleep!
Connie....I like the idea of daily accountability....plus maybe a weekly weigh in report....to really get back to doing what needs to be done. Our cruise is in 6 weeks, so I need to buckle down & jettison some lard. I also want to be ready for my retirement celebration at the end of May....I want to be able to find something cute to wear & feel good about how I look.
Steph....these days off sure go faster than the ones we work! Boo hoo....
Becky....how is your back? Hope it is feeling better!
Mary....our dgs got a little golf set from his other grandparents ( the grandpa is an avid golfer)....needs lots of practice as he managed to bonk himself on the head a couple of times with the clubs....20 month old coordination isn't the best...lol
Packed & ready to get on the road as soon as DH gets home. He ran in to work for a few hours. Beautiful day.....sunny, calm, may reach 40, which is awesome for us this time of year!
Have a great day all! I'll check back when I can....

Good morning,
Angie, y'all be safe traveling (again). So glad you're enjoying time with family.
Suze, safe travels to you as well. Enjoy time with your sibs.
Connie...YES...that's exactly what I need to be held accountable for...water, exercise, tracking...I'm in!!
Alarm went off at 7:00, but I could not get up. Autumn came in after 9:00, still feverish & sore throat. Gave her some Motrin & she's now laying in my bed. Cuddled a bit & then I made myself get up. Fighting a headache, so I'll take something. I know it's the cedar.
Off to figure out how to wake up & get moving...it's 10:30 AM and I'm just not moving.

CONNIE anything concrete like that helps me. Nebulous things like "success" or "dropping" are totally meaningless TO ME (YMMV). ANd if I miss a day it's not like you're going to come and slap me upside the head. So count me in for keeping myself accountable. Interesting about the water. I too would more likely drink bottled water rather than water from my fridge filter. But I've been trying for several years to be a good world citizen and all that plastic waste that I generate offends me. I either need to get OVER my being offended or figure out another way to get water in. I LOVE iced tea.... but only w/ lemon and sweetener. I love crystal light (again artificial sweetener), and I could drink gallons of SPlenda Diet Peach Tea. None of which are Paleo. I tried infusers and it makes the water taste YUCKY! I tried berries, cucumbers, mint. YUCKY. whaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance.
SANDY very nice that the lake has all those options for the kids (and adults). I'll come by... and eat the fish! haha. And AMEN SISTAH on the candle at both ends. I can barely keep it burning at ONE end. LOL
LOUISE I slept pretty well too. I also need to up my water as i think it will help keep my plumbing moving. Lack of fiber, lack of activity and lack of water. Not a good combo for someone w/ my gut issues.
Someone who lives in the adjoining neighborhood (still in Frisco lakes) is dropping by to see my interior paint. They're thinking of hiring my painter. She contacted me through Nextdoor.com. That site is uber helpful. You can get personal recommendations on plumbers, ophthalmologists, painters, handymen, gynecologists, manicures, Chinese restaurants, housekeepers... you name it.

ANGIE thanks for asking. Petey is doing FANTASTICALLY (knock on wood). I couldn't ask for more. i still haven't spoken w/ the doctor about his biopsy results and if we need to do anything from here in the way of chemo or radiation or (nothing). We go in on Friday for suture removal and I'll talk to the vet then. But he's doing GREAT. Except for this massive incision along his side and shoulder almost to his neck, you'd never know he had surgery. So you probably told us but where is your cruise going? Who are you going with? Can I come along? Safe travels... and may the road rise up to meet you (Whatever that means) again.
STEPH did I miss it? Does DD have strep? Or is it viral? I almost prefer it to be strep b/c at least in 36 hours the abx would have kicked in and it's getting better. Viral .... just wait it out. I am confused w/ these dang allergies. I was SURE the Austin cedar had made its way up here w/ the wind as usually happens. But I went on the pollen count and it said YOUR air is good as far as allergens and mine was essentially void of ANY allergens. But SOME DAMN THING is making me sneeze, blow and cough. Though I'm a tiny bit better today. TINY BIT. But even Bob said yesterday "Are you getting bronchitis again?" So far today is a tiny bit better.

Celeste, the rapid test (10 min) came back negative, but I'm holding out for the over night results. Last time she had strep, I was told it was negative & sent her to school/swim & then it came back positive. So, we wait.
Our local station takes its own pollen tests each day. This is what we have going on. Explains my headache with the mold & my other symtoms with the cedar. They just said the cedar may stay longer than usual. That's usually Feb. UGHHH!!!!!!!!!!

STEPH I went back on weather.com and though they seem to always PREDICT levels are good, the actual daily report is apparently different. Yesterday Austin and Frisco were both predicted to have good air quality today as far as allergens. But I just went on it and today you have HIGH tree and I have MODERATE for trees. Makes a lot more sense as I'm a mess. So much for their "forecast."
SUZE bummer. You could have slept in, taken it easy this AM. Hope you get to Mizz Bean real soon. Enjoy your time w/ your sister and bff (who is one and the same!). Any plans for NYEve? Don't you two go and paint the town red and then call ME to bail you out of jail! OK you can call me. I'll come but I won't be happy about it hahaha
WEIRD weather here. It's muggy as all get out. Warm. Dreary. Ugly. I went to walk Petey and I put a big coat on b/c it LOOKED cold and dreary. I had to drop it on my porch. Way warm. And of course I just killed a mosquito! IN late December!! sheeesh
