WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C75 D17, 6249 fitbit steps
Jan – You are more than entitled to a piece of pie <g>
Beth – Do you have a fitbit? I’d surely be curious as to your number of steps. 2 PB sessions, puppy walk and heaven knows what else.
Kathy – Yes, I played table tennis this morning (Tuesday) for over an hour and then 30 minutes on the treadmill. Tomorrow’s line dancing/treadmill. So nice to hear from you. I’ve been on cycle 75 since August. It will be really nice to finally move on to the next. On Intuitive Eating there is really no reason to binge. At least that’s how it feels so far.
Lori – Your weight stats are impressive. I’m still 4 lbs over goal.
Edesia – I’m not really sure of the WW WI rules. I weigh myself every morning at home. I’ve lost a pound in two weeks but my eating has eased up immeasurably. I don’t mind a slow loss or even maintaining if I can continue to eat like this. I pretty much get in all the ghgs and my portions are controlled. I did make that box of Kraft mac n cheese using the “lite” option. Had it spread over 3 days but now realize if I do it again it could easily be spread over 4 days. I think I’ll hold off on the official WIs for the time being. If things don’t work out, I can always go back. I am curious about the new program which will come out early January. Hopefully some of our BFFs will let us know of any significant changes.

Good morning. I had another fairly good eating yesterday, with a piece of pie and some bagel chips in the evening.
DS came home last evening, said hello, and closed himself in his room. We're traveling this weekend and I'm wondering how that will go.
Nancy, I'm so glad IE is working for you. When things settle down a bit I'll devote some energy to it.

Good Morning BFFs,
Not doing too well in the food department. Nancy, my weight is up since my last weigh in. I start the day off good but it's been ending badly. Way too much food and goodies around. DH and I leave this morning for a two night get away to Wellsboro, PA. We have a party to attend Friday night and that will end the end of the holiday celebrating and back to normal routine....looking forward to it....
Jan, hope this weekend goes well for you.
Hi to everyone!! Lori

Howdy folks!
craziness at my office...I've been over here essentially by myself for 5 years and soon 12 people are coming over to my building. So before they come there is a ton of work going on. They did the roof (while I was here!) a few weeks ago. Now they are painting AND putting a new deck on the front of the building. They painted my office yesterday and the maintenance guys managed to get my shelving and bulletin boards back up as well as my desk, file cabinets and computer set back up by the time I came in this morning. BUT...all the boxes are staying packed for now cuz they're going to have to move everything again when the carpet gets done. Which of course they can't tell me exactly when that's going to be. Meaning I have to spend the next couple of days getting work prepared for the next 2 weeks in case I can't be here!
The carpet in this building is 32 years old so I'm pretty sure I want to plan to be on vacation during the time they're ripping it up!
ANYway...I had a great day yesterday and boy did I sleep well! I was really pooped! The puppy is going home today...I miss her already! Nancy, I do not have a fit bit...tracking exercise is not something I've ever been interested in doing. It wouldn't change how active I am (I don't think it's really possible for me to squeeze much more activity into my days!!!!)
Speaking of activity...no formal workout today cuz my niece and her fiancé are coming over after work for dinner. She picked out her wedding dress yesterday so it will be fun to hear all about that. I'll go for a walk at lunchtime. Plus...I'm getting lots of extra "steps" today since there the deck is torn down. I have to go in and out the basement entrance so that's an extra flight of stairs AND a longer walk over to the main building each time I have to go over there. I'm glad it's a nice day!
happy day to all!
