Good early morning all. I tossed and turned most of the night and finally gave up and got up! Hopefully I'll not fall asleep during my WW'er meeting or manicure LOL. I guess my nap on the way home from Enzo and another when I got home messed me up.
I doubt I'll get back to the café today, so wishing all a lovely Wednesday!

Hi Ann and all who follow!
Ann, thank you for getting us started. I hate those nights when I toss and turn. I hope you have a good WW meeting, and enjoy your manicure.
Sue, I sure hope you are starting to feel a little better. It's good that you are off work this week so you can get some rest and take it easy.
Kathy, hopefully you are getting some rest, too. Baby steps are good!
I am babysitting again today and enjoying every minute with my granddaughter. Tonight our kids will come over for pizza so we can see everyone before we leave on Friday.
Waving to everyone else. Will try to come back later, but it might be late tonight.
Carol

Hi all and happy Wednesday and week off for me! lol
We made it home uneventfully, but we are still feeling like the drive to NJ is a big undertaking for us "geezers"! We stopped at Rein's deli in CT on the way home which is a ritual. Had our last supper of not so healthy holiday foods and I enjoyed every mouthful of their potato pancakes and half of a lean reuben!
Today I've been paying bills and now am set to clean out and organize a closet that has been bugging me for some time. Oh, the luxury of time! Still in my robe and intend to stay that way!
Tonight I have one last holiday party with some former co-workers. She's a good pal who just beat uterine cancer so can't wait to celebrate!
Enjoy your mani/pedi Ann and have a great day!
I'll BBL...Judy

Hi guys...wanted to wave before I hit the shower. I'm taking the bus into acupuncture today and J is going to ride in with me to see what he thinks; silly boy. I'm presuming he'll be able to figure out how to get home by himself, LOL. suewms SOOOOOO sorry about your tooth, and know you will take care of yourself. Meds are such a funny thing, you know I fight them, too, but seeing what these thyroid meds have done for Leia is unbelievable...she is down over a pound. ceebee53 Yes, just put the @symbol in front of the user name. Thanks for the update on your plans! Glad you're home safe and sound, Judy...enjoy your time off, definitely one of the perks of working in a school...Brady and Dana won't be back until the 9th! Glad you are pretty and taking care of the rest of beauty, Ann. I'm still tired myself, but taking it easy. Have a good one, All...waving to whoever else might pop in.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
The sun is shining today!! I will be indoors, but still I can see it out my window. Yesterday my dentist gave me a handout with instructions regarding my extraction - and there were several things I did not know last time. Interesting! But another "live and learn". I did ice (twice) yesterday and again this morning. I stuck with cold foods last night and everything soft. Didn't make for a very appetizing supper, but did stave off starvation (like that's gonna happen?) LOL.
Ann ~ Thanks for starting us up this morning. I know how great you must feel after your visit with Enzo. And after today you should be doing the happy dance, right?? Enjoy your mani and your WW meeting. I also hate those nights when I toss and turn. Fortunately they are few and far between.
Carol ~ I just KNOW you are enjoying the time with your DGD. They are so much fun! Thanks, I am starting to feel a little bit better. I know it takes time and I am not well known for my patience. I am reading the instructions this time and following them to a "T". Sounds like my best investment in ME! I am also glad I'm off this week as last time I went right back to school the next day and faded quickly and came home early - then got a sub for the next day (which happened to be a Friday). This time I plan to stay put today and tomorrow (at the very least).
Judy ~ How long was your drive? DH and I used to think nothing of running Up North but in more recent years it seems like a much bigger undertaking. It is 4 1/2 hours in good traffic, but now we prefer our little jaunt to Lexington (MI) which is only a couple of hours away.
Kathy ~ Enjoy your acupuncture today! I try to avoid meds because they always seem to produce side effects that are worse than what I'm taking them for. But I took a Tylenol #3 yesterday afternoon and again at bedtime - then woke up at 5 a.m. with a horrific headache!! I told DH that NOW I remember why I don't like them. They stop the pain; and they don't make me sleepy or dizzy (which are warnings) - BUT I always pay for it with the headache (and later with constipation). I got up and took some plain Tylenol and then just "tossed and turned" from 5 a.m. until 7 a.m. when I got up (at my usual time). Now they are packed away in the emergency meds box for future use (hopefully not by me LOL). Since then I am back to my alternating Tylenol & Advil (with Sudafed) regime which seems to work for me. The tooth she extracted was pressing on my maxillary sinus and had been causing some problems there for some time, so the Sudafed is helping also. I also tried out the Themes the other night - but ended up going back to the default, for exactly the same reason as you. Some of them were way too busy for me!! I like the blue .....
Anyway, enough of my woes. DH is off on his errands today and I have paid some bills and gotten some rest this morning. I will be looking around for something "soft" for lunch in a little while. I stepped on the scale this morning and was down even more, which didn't surprise me since I hardly ate yesterday. DH had brought home some chocolate cream and banana cream pie from Christmas dinner, so we ate it last night. It was soft and good and I was still waaay under my SP for the day. So I didn't gain over Christmas, but then I didn't get to enjoy much food-wise either, and being in pain is definitely NOT the way I wanted to do this.
BBL. Make a great day!

Good Morning:
Ann: So happy you’re beautified. Enjoy today and I hope you sleep very well tonight. When I think of tossing and turning I think of that old Rock n Roll song that had the line “tossin’ and turnin’ all night” but that is all I can remember of it. Only fun to sing about. Not to do.
Carol: How old is your DGD? Precious time for sure. I love your snowbird lifestyle. But I understand how hard it is to not see little ones when you are away as well. Still...to be warm...aaaahhhh...
Sue: I agree on pain meds. Once I had an abscessed tooth. The pain was the throbbing kind. The dentist gave me a pain med and prescription strength Ibuprofen. I took both that night as instructed. But the next a.m. before work I accidentally took the pain med and not the Ibuprofen. Opposite of what I meant to do. I had to return home sick because I felt groggy and was in terrible pain. I took the Ibu and soon felt so much better. I realized that pain pill did nothing but mess with my brain. Lesson learned. Glad you’re finding something that will work. You have been through so much! Hugs. And don't worry about describing your woes here. You are going through a lot and it's good that you can share and know people care. As you will see below, I'm about to share my woe as well.
Judy: Time IS a luxury! I’m so glad you’re enjoying that treasure. Getting a closet cleaned out is so satisfying. And celebrating with a friend who beat cancer is the best.
Kathy: I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself. I put that book on hold, at least I think so—or it might have been another by that author. I know I’ll enjoy it when it comes up.
Hi to camping Kathryn and not camping Chele.
I wasn’t feeling great yesterday and as the day progressed not great turned into sick. It has been years since I’ve been sick. It’s a cold. I don’t feel so achy this a.m. so that’s good and I hope that lasts. I went to bed after dinner yesterday so I could wallow in misery in peace! LOL. I’ll be taking it very easy today. Another retirement gratitude because when I worked I was required to make 2 phone calls before 7 a.m. and then had to follow up with another call to my back up just after 7. I hated that because when I stayed home sick I was good and sick and didn’t feel like making a bunch of phone calls. And I felt that I had to explain/defend my illness. This a.m. I slept in guilt free. Free to be sick! Yay!
Great day to all.

ceebee53: If someone already addressed your tagging question, ignore me. When you hit Reply there is a little person and @ sign icon on the 6th button from the right. (Up at the top). If you hit that and start to type in the user name the person will pop up. You can select that person and it becomes a tag for them. I think most of us cafe folks check out the day before though so to me it hasn't felt like a necessary step unless I want to really make sure someone sees a message I wrote to them.

I'm way past tired and can't concentrate. Just wanted to pop in quickly before I crash. I was up 1.8 at WW'ers today. Better than the 2.2 on my wii LOL, so I'll gladly take it.
Didn't stay for the meeting.....too many people sneezing in there and I need to stay healthy!
I also stayed awake for my manicure!
Time to crash....waving to all......Thanks for understanding the no reply to personals.
Ciao

The grandsons in from Detroit. But here just a few days. Both wanted to go to the range, and shoot ARs. They went through a lot of ammo, and we had a good time. This evening, we are going to see the new Star Wars movie. Will get back on that. We saw the then new Star Warts movie last Christmas. Pretty cool.

Carol enjoy your pizza with the grandkids. I'm sure you will.
OMG Judy we used to LOVE going to Rein's Deli. I love the half sour pickles and their lean reuben. My mouth is watering just thinking about that place. Back in the day, I would have all of that plus a dessert! Couldn't do it now. Glad you enjoyed! Carl used to love stopping at Dick Blick that used to be out that way. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Judy. You and I frequented the same places LOL. Happy celebrating with your friend!
Hi Kathy. LOL to the bus trip into Boston! Hope you both have fun!
Sue feel free to vent away and talk about your woes. That's what we are here for. You certainly have all listened to me go on and on about my surgery woes. I hope the mouth pain subsides!
Carolyn I hope you start feeling better soon. Carl is feeling ill also. It started later today once we got home from our running around. He's resting now, and I hope it doesn't escalate into anything funky. Rest up and I hope you feel better in the morning.
Art enjoy the Star Wars movie.
I took a little cat nap and woke up feeling somewhat refreshed. I plan on going to bed early tonight.
Sleep well, all!

Hi All, I am worn out tonight, but wanted to get back here for a quick note. We had a nice time with the kids tonight, but our 4 year old granddaughter had an especially hard time saying goodbye which just about broke my heart. I reminded her that we can Facetime and I will send her mail every week, but she clung to me and begged me not to go. The funny thing is that she was probably fine once they got out of the driveway. The granddaughter I'm watching this week is 10 years old. She doesn't beg me not to go away for the winter, but shows her displeasure by getting mad at me! I just give her space and let her work through her emotions. She did tell me today that she will miss me. I'm not kidding you when I say the hardest part about being a snowbird is leaving the grandkids. Thank you to ksbruns and carolyn0506 for the info on tagging. I just tried it and will see if it works for me! I'm sorry I don't have energy for personals tonight, but I hope you know that I appreciate every single one of you. Wishing all of you a restful night. See you all tomorrow. Carol

ceebee53 Glad the tagging worked! I agree with Carolyn, that I usually look back at the day before, but I tag a good deal because that way if someone is gone for a few days, they'll see it. And personals are lovely, but never required! Sometimes just waving is *all I got*....👵🏻
