This challenge was created five years ago by a few Weight watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan.

Good morning Canners- I love all those goals you identify. I think a simple one for me is to have existing clothes fit loser around my dern belly and to reduce my preggo looking mid belly from looking 4 months- to two months!! awesome, this aging stuff...
Jan: wishes that this year is a better one for you! Thanks for asking-My mom was really beaten up by this last lung issue. She is low on physical energy and super high on mental energy, a true mismatch. She has required a lot of emotional daily attention from afar.
Janet: I hear Austin is wonderful! Hope you enjoyed the day and beautiful weather! Thanks for the travel tips
Carol: what fun to meet and greet your kitchen table! I bet you can use flylady and commit to keeping it decluttered?..how are you enjoying your new fitness tracker?
Nat: I love hearing your snow stories. Snow driving terrifies me- so I would not do well in your neck of the woods. I love your goals, and send wishes for an ohmmmm2017.
YES I CAN today: celebrate an easy schedule, zumba- mani/pedi/wax, complete a homestudy for professional CEU's..no emotional eating today!
How about you?

Good Morning! love light blessings love light blessings. Sally thank you for starting us out. A boxing day party sounds fun, I also am terrified of snow -- in fact snow is one of the reasons I moved to Texas when I was 17! Jan may both of us have a better year in 2017. May all of us!
Zumba and a pedi sounds great. I took Mom to Supercuts and we both got hair cuts yesterday. Pedi/wax for me sometime next week.
YES I DID: walk and do a rigorous weight training class yesterday, spend time with Mom and get most of the brief done. YES I CAN: get dressed, work most of the day, spinning class.
I took a long hard look at my portions yesterday. That is number one area to change starting today. What I eat is healthy just too much of it and I am giving myself too many AP because I just do not push myself as hard as I did when I was younger. So, that is closer to losing that pesky 10#, looking at what I need to change. I found someone I might ask to be my personal trainer. It would make my life so much easier if I was comfortable lifting, carrying, and handling 50# instead of 30# and I do not seem to be reaching that goal on my own.
love light and blessings janet

Happy Wednesday Everyone! YES, I CAN... --remain vigilant and keep with the program. --walk with my buddy this afternoon. I haven't seen her in weeks so we will have a great gab-fest. --Jazzercise tonight. Not much going on here. Just getting back into the routine. Any New Years Eve plans? I think mine will be very low key. Got to get out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine before the rain moves in on Friday. Sally: Your Mom's mindset is a powerful thing. Jan

Good Afternoon, positive e-pals!
Yes I DID: —make it to Fitness class on Monday, 1st time in awhile and boy do I feel it! —oversleep a little, but went to the Y and rode Expresso Bike this a.m., followed by Jacuzzi…ahhhh! —lunch at a reasonable time (instead of late, late breakfast)…striving for a more normal eating schedule, so we don’t have so many “extra meals” when DBF and I get out of synch.
Yes I CAN: —check on Old House —continue momentum of decluttering, then… —sit in front of my (electric) fireplace and relax a few minutes. —track food right away
Janet - My longer term goal is also to lose the pesky 10#…which would get me back to my original goal wt when I reached Lifetime. The main obstacle for me is stress and how I respond to it: by mindlessly eating even when I don’t feel hungry. So, mindfulness is my strategy. I need to think about how I will approach this, so as not to add to my stress, LOL!
Sally, funny but your “easy” schedule sounds like my “busy” one, LOL! Enjoy Zumba & being pampered:) Yes, I am loving my Fitbit Charge 2, comfortable and easy to use. The extra, that I don’t have on my old Fitbit, is that it shows me incoming callers on my phone, also reminds me to “feed” it with steps when I’ve been inactive for awhile, LOL. (Like just now, it is asking me for 250 steps!) It can do other things, but I’m still learning. Same with my car computer….I guess this is good for the brain.
Jan - I’m also just getting back to routine. Enjoy that companionship and sunshine…sigh…we had a dusting of snow, but it is melting. Maybe i’ll get out for a hike tomorrow.
No plans for New Year’s Eve. I’d just as soon stay home and relax….too much running around lately. Maybe get together with friends on New Year’s Day. We, the non-sports oriented geeks, are hoping everyone else will be home watching football so that we can get into the movies we want.
Be well! Carol

Hey, I am back...
Found this in my Mindfulness Journal.
Today's Mantra: "I make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes." by Sara Teasdale
An "aha" moment! I tend to hang onto what is gone and take for granted the day before me. No more guilting myself for what I should have done. Carpe Diem. Onward we go...
