The Mind🌷Body🌷Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Good Morning, Angels:
Its another sunny day here and I'm excited to get outside again. Yesterday wasn't a good planting day because the ground was saturated with water from all the rain. DH and I spent the day weeding, pruning, planting a few more pots, general clean-up. Even tho there is a lot to do, it feels good to get out there and be among the plants.
Pat: I am wondering why your DH doesn't want HBP meds (other than the fact that he might just not want to take drugs.). I've been on them for about 15 years. No side effects at all. For me, the HBP is genetic and, no matter how much weight I lose or how fit I am, I suspect I will always need the meds to keep my BP at a healthy range. Winter of 2016 was the big scare for me and that is why I joined WW in March 2016. My heart was fine, as it turns out. Probably anxiety, again. But I realized, in that moment, that of all the health concerns I might worry about - genetically - heart disease was my biggest concern. Weight loss was in order and - by golly - I did it!....
....and I'd better get back to doing it (sticking to my WW points). I pigged out last night so much that I went to bed with my belly in such pain, I couldn't even get comfortable. LOL.
I, hereby, commit (recommit) to my WW plan and look forward to more success.
I forgot to mention yesterday, my acupuncturist gave me a moxa-stick so that I could use it on my sprained ankle (moxibustion). She uses it on me periodically. I tried it for the first time yesterday. And I'm sitting there thinking, I wonder what else I could use this for (self-treatment). I'll have to inquire when I see her again on Monday.
Carol: Its sounds like you're enjoying the good weather and getting out for some exercise. How is your stone path doing? Is it completely uncovered yet? A reward is certainly in order if you finish it. Maybe a few potted flowering plants to place along the path?
Lisa: You must be exhausted AND buried in plants and planting designs. Know that I'm thinking about you. I don't recall that I ever shared my favorite perennial list. I wrote it up as I was thinking about it. So here it is:
- Hardy Geranium, Cranesbill 'Dilys'
- Hardy Geranium, Cranesbill 'Rozanne'
- Potentilla neumanniana cinquefoil ‘Nana’ (mat-groundcover)
I really have lots of perennials I love. These three, however, have been so tried and true. The 'Dilys' and 'Nana' don't quit. And they make babies. Not obnoxiously, just little plantlets that you can then plant elsewhere. The big thing is they both provide a great ground cover and are maintenance free, especially the 'Nana'. Nana only blooms once. Dilys and Rozanne bloom continuously.
I also have a spring-flowering bulb that is under-used that I thought I'd mention: Camassia Quamash. Like daffodils, it naturalizes. Its a striking flower, reminiscent of a delphinium or salvia.
Hope you get a chance to check in and fill us in on what you're working on in the gardens.
Daily Affirmation: My actions are in line with my goals. Fitness Goal: Move as best I can and work on upper-body and core strength while my ankle heals. Health Goal: Regain control of what I am eating. The sense of satisfaction when losing the weight is much "tastier" than anything i could eat. The food only lasts a moment. The weight-loss is something I enjoy all day! Gratitude: For today and a recommitment to WW and fitness.

Hello Long Lost Friends! Thanks for sticking around! (thanks Carol, so true!) Pat, Jane Fonda was my idol for workouts. I loved those years! Always loved the leotards and leg warmers! And the whole fashion scene back then. I have made so many jean purses in my day. BTW, I still make jean purses!!!! And still use them! All shapes and sizes. I have one in the making I'd like to finish. It's a quilted jean bag for my work stuff. I have a ton of them pinned on my pinterest board Bag Fetish. We just got the fire stick. Dan likes it. I will be cutting cable as soon as I have time to drop off the stuff. Susanne, I didn't relax much, but I had a great time. It was like a reunion the whole weekend. I am just getting my energy back, I was so exhausted for a few days after. Of course I am slammed with work now, too. Yesterday I worked 15 hrs trying to catch up. Where is my life balance? LOL I loved the clogs, and still do - and I used to do the V thing with jeans also. And made a wardrobe of halters to go along with them! I love your geranium choices. I don't have Rozanne because I don't have the sun, but your Dylis is our Max Frei and I have a lot of that. My MIL has the old fashioned parent plant of those. I dug it from grandpas garden about 30 yrs ago and it's still thriving in her front yard. Very hardy. I wish you girls could see my circle garden now, it is spectacular! Carol, I missed you having Indian Food, what did you have? I need to investigate and try more indian dishes. I actually love curry! And I'm with you on the confusion of what day it is, I cannot believe it's already Friday!!!!!!!!!!! Your comment about old friends resonates. The connection between old friends is awesome. Especially the ones you don't see often, but when you do, it just takes you back. I am fortunate to have some really great old friends like that. We only talk a few times a year, but still friends.

Greetings all! I'm still struggling with being angry and fed up. My DH is just a stubborn mule is all. I've been writing it out in my journal and trying to direct my anger there the past couple of days. Today I got out for a bit of a walk in the beautiful weather and that always helps.
Good to see you Lisa!
Suzanne, thanks for letting me know your BP meds do not cause side effects. Your moxa stick sounds interesting, I've never tried one of those.
Daily Affirmation - I will prevail!
Fitness Report - just some gardening.
Health Goal - enjoy my hair appointment tonight.
Gratitude - glorious weather to walk in, however brief.
