The Mind🌷Body🌷Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Good Saturday Morning, Dear Ones!
I am turning over a new leaf, posting in the a.m. (just barely logged on in time!).
Thanks, for asking me about progress on my stone path, it motivated me to do another section yesterday. I have one more section to go to get to the back door. Maybe I'll get it done this weekend and, yes, I think buying some potted plants would be appropriate!
Daily Affirmation - My actions are aligned with my goals Fitness report - I got over 9000 steps on Fitbit yesterday, without a hike Health Goal - choose nutritious food, not empty carbs Gratitude - a gorgeous day for a bike ride
DBF, who is not a morning person, mind you, was up before 7 this a.m. and rattling around the house before I was up. He was motivated to go to a Hamfest (radios, not food) with a flea market full of old electronic gadgets and such. So off we went, out for a quick breakfast and off to the 'fest held at a local farmer's field. It was fun. I love looking at the gadgets, even though I don't even know what half of them are for. I bought a bargain used telescope for $30.
Now we are preparing for a bike ride this afternoon. The weather is great, mid-60s, with a nice westerly breeze. We will use 2 vehicles, start the ride at a canal town to the W of here and ride with the wind at our backs to our end point in the city.
Be well! Carol

Good Afternoon! I intended to post this morning and I don't even remember what happened but I ended up out in the garden, planting annuals. I am growing tired of that task. I think I bought too many annuals!
Anyway, I came in for a break and remembered I hadn't posted! Back outside for now but I'll check back in again and post.
I think I could fall asleep outside if someone would just give me a good chair to sleep in.

Good Sunday afternoon, Dear Ones!
Suzanne, how many plants did you buy?! I thought I did well buying two potted plants at the church festival yesterday, LOL!🌱🌿
It's a rainy day and 55°, so I probably can't finish the path today. No complaints, we had two beautiful days for the outdoor festivals, Fri & Sat. The weather was perfect for our bike ride yesterday and it was still light at 9PM when we finished. I guess since rain is forecast the next several days, I'll have to work on my attic decluttering project instead of the garden.
The lake level is continuing to rise, more sandbags are piling up, even some along the road near here that dips down to the bay inlet...big sandbags, so the road doesn't get inundated. Hope things settle down soon!
Daily Affirmation - My actions are aligned with my goals Fitness report - Biked 21 miles Health Goal - choose nutritious food, not empty carbs Gratitude - for my sweetie
Be well! Carol

Good Sunday afternoon! Carol, I'm not sure how many flowering-annuals I bought. 100-125? Plus, I had grown some from seed. I had never intended to purchase so many, but most of what I grew from seed failed this year. Anyway, I wanted to fill-in a space in my butterfly-sanctuary-in-the-making so that there was something planted; eventually, all those plants will be bird/butterfly-loving perennials. I'm envisioning your re-discovered stone-pathway to be like a butterfly, slowly unfolding its wings.
Its drizzling here, too. I know the gentle rainfall will be good for my newly-planted flowers. But - are you listening, Mother Nature? - I don't need 3 days of downpours. (She's listening. And chuckling.)
I hope you'll have some opportunities to use your new telescope, Carol! DH has a really nice one but it hasn't been set up for years. I always enjoyed it. I'll never forget the first time I saw Saturn; you could actually see the rings of Saturn. So amazing. Sorry to hear the lake level continues to rise. Ontario is just way-too-big a lake to imagine flooding. That's a lotta water!.....You biked 21 miles? No wonder I'm tired!
Lisa: I, too, have some (probably) 30 year-old perennials geraniums of a similar variety. They self-seed and flourish! I dig them up and move them when need be. Gifts from nature. Ha! Halter tops! I used to sew those, too. I was a real seamstress back in those days. I ought to try a jeans-handbag sometime, just for the fun of it. Maybe that would be a nice way to honor the jeans I can no longer wear (because they're too big). Do you just sew-as-you-go? Or do you create a pattern of sorts? Its been so long; I can't remember what I did.
Pat, it sounds like DH doesn't have a doctor that's pushing him in the right direction? I had one of those once. And when I really needed to figure out why I was not feeling well (unrelated to HBP), I turned to DH's doctor. HE was the one who said "we need to get you on meds. I'll give you 3 months to see if your HBP lowers." He also diagnosed what turned out to be Irritable BLADDER syndrome.) After 3 months, I started the meds. I was about 40 at the time. With a family history of HBP/heart disease and an uncle who had passed away from a heart attack at age 49 (he was obese and no longer taking his HBP meds); I wasn't going to play the genetic odds. I wish I didn't have to take any meds but, even after losing 50 pounds, it looks like I will have to. (Poo on that.)
Daily Affirmation - My actions are aligned with my goals (thanks, Carol) Fitness report - yard work Health Goal - choose nutritious food, not empty carbs (thanks, Carol) Gratitude - for the rainy day so I can rest my weary joints without guilt
