Good evening owls & hens,
Feeling blah today. Not really sick just not quite up to par. No appetite, sleepy just plain YUCKY.
Got turkey noodle soup made for DD this morning. Still have a couple more things to make for her. She likes stuffed pasta shells and definitely chicken and dumplings. Might make ham/bean soup too. Her whole family likes that. Worked quite a while on my quilt. Got the blocks all sewn together and have the border strips ready to sew on. Trying to figure out how to do a mitered corner. Lots of tutorials online and doesn't sound too difficult.
Very nice day here for MN in late December. About 35, no wind. Roads are completely dry which is good since I just had my car washed again yesterday. Another day of rehab done.
Have a good night. bettyj

Betty, I think we all have a tendency to not eat all the right things around the holidays. And it gets stressful, lots to do, and pressed for time. Hope you will feel better in a couple of days.
The weather here today was too good to be true, 76, no humidity, sun out. My house is staying at 72 so no air going and no furnace. Hoping for another $68 electric bill.
The senior center is all decorated for the party tomorrow then we will have our regular HH pizza tomorrow afternoon. We did go out after the decorating, usual glass of wine and some snacks. I don't plan on eating at the party. Will just enjoy the entertainment and friends. I wish I had taken some photos, it's quite festive.
Betty, what a nice present for DD, my kids love when I visit, I cook. They are all great cooks but I give them a break and I enjoy cooking for a crowd.
Waiting on an update from Pat on the saga of the cars. Bath, book and bed time for me. Busy day tomorrow then a quiet Friday and WW on Saturday.
You all have a peaceful, quiet night.

Wondering about Pat too.
Wondering if Cat is floating away
wondering how Martha's (SC) injuries finally healed after that fall a while back.
Finally got myself back to volunteer job at Tempe History museum. Did few groceries on the way home. Then I used leftover roast to make hash to go with Greek salad tonight so when I run out of steam the cooking us done .
made glazed carrots and scalloped potatoes to go with ham tomorrow when we have company. Set the table. I do not leave things to chance in the headache month. The air quality is bad again because the cool weather and clouds trap the pollution. Lot of people get headaches and feel like they have allergies.
Seems like everybody is tired here too. Holiday ending let do

I'm here. The sun was out this afternoon. Maybe snow on Sunday. Mount Hood has tons of snow in case you want to visit. You must carry or put on chains in this state when there is a storm in Portland but always at Mount Hood/Timberline Lodge.
I went to a residents/management meeting this afternoon. You know, that never changes. Just a lot of hot air and a waste of time. So there.
On the plus side, I cleaned off the computer table and found my Ladybug earrings. Hooray.
Sleep well.

Hi all, I'm doing fine, just so tired yet...been fighting a headache since yesterday. Guess my fun drive left me a bit stressed. The car is fine, only needed a new tire and it was pretty new, so no charge. Believe me I won't be driving it again without looking at all the tires before I even get in it. And I'll stop immediately if I hear a new noise. DHs car on the other hand is still at the shop and costing him some bucks....but it's old, so guess things go wrong. It belonged to my aunt and when she passed, my nephew bought it and decided he didn't need 2 cars so sold it to DH. Started taking down Christmas today....trees still up...and lots of red still around the house...like that around through Jan. when it's cold and sometimes grey. Red is cheerful in Jan. Our oldest DD and her DH are here for the night....they had business here today so came to visit. They will be leaving in the morning...her for work and him over to his uncles to work on his car. It was nice to have them here to spend time with. Poor Debbie Reynolds, I'm sure I wouldn't last to long if I lost a DD in such a quick, sudden way. They both were fine actresses. Must hit the hay, it's almost 10 and everyone else has gone to bed. I've been to tired to post and with a headache, decided to take some time away from the computer....but wondered how everyone was, so thought I take a peek before going to bed. Thanks for caring about me. Hus to all. Sweet dreams, Pat
