My daughter and I went to a falafel shop for sandwiches and called it lunch then headed to the grocery store for a few items then made a delicious meal of basmati rice with mustard seeds and curry leaves, sauteed zucchini and mushrooms, steamed cauliflower, baguette with toppings of cheeses and pate...tasty and somewhat healthy. More talking in the evening after a short walk outside. Lynn: I still have not seen the program that is smart points - wonder if/when I will. Are points for food the same and the way of tracking changed or have there been major changes? Cherry: Do you enjoy the cold snowy winters? How nice for you to have your son with you another day! Love your photo of flowers in pots Pam: Hope you have fun with your sister on her birthday, make your plan, buy the food you need and have a marvelous day. Beverly: Two days to count down and then your daughter will be married. How fun (though tiring perhaps) for all of you!

Good morning. Cathy, I do enjoy snowy winters, but they last all too long here. Three months would be more than enough but here they usually go from somewhere near the middle of Nov. into March. I don't enjoy the extreme cold we sometimes get, like 20 to 30 below zero.
The picture is looking out my living room window. It's not this year's picture but one of several years ago. I don't have the geraniums this year.
My son left this morning, but he said if he'd have looked at the travel map he'd have probably gone last evening. There was no travel advised last night and none this morning in our area. No new snow, but the wind was causing the existing snow to blow and drift. He didn't have any problem getting out of my yard, but there was a hard drift where we turn on to the county road.
Today I'm going to stay inside, wash clothes, and try to get a few things done around the house. I went up yesterday to get mail, but there had been no mail delivery for 3 days. I'm sure there was blowing and drifting snow all along the mail route. Maybe today, but who knows. There is still wind.
Have a good day, beaches.

Looking forward to the movie and do have a plan for dinner. Enjoy the day everyone. Can't believe it's almost 2017. Take time and enjoy these next few days. Keep smiling as well.

At work after a few days off...happy to be here. After today, I am off until Tuesday...so that will be nice.
We are going to the yacht club for New Year's Eve with a few couples. It should be fun...even better to have the next two days off.
I didn't get to the movies yet, but hope to tomorrow. I am staying OP and hope to clamp down on the sugar monkey that has arisen. So far, so good!
Have a lovely and warm day all!
