WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C78C4, 8 water, 30 points, all ghgs except only 1-1/2 dairy, 13,149 fitbit steps, 1 binge in June
Edesia β βDeterminedβ is good.
Jan β I keep it up cuz Iβm petrified that the first day I fall short of 10,000 will signal the beginning of the end.
Beth β The sun was out today (Wednesday) as well. It was glorious for about 3 minutes. The weather afterwards remained rain-free and walkable but not sunny.
Kathy β I also had one of those junky food days on Sunday. Mine turned into a full-fledged binge. So annoying.

Morning, BFF's! I finally will have a day in my office today to catch up on some things. The week has gone by fast. My eating has been going well, but I have not been able to exercise. Hopefully, I can fit some in this afternoon. Not much else to report.
Nancy - I know what you mean about keeping the momentum going with the steps.
Beth - Tuesday was a good game, but last night was SO much better. ; ) We actually have tickets for this Sunday. The weather is going to be summer-like. We will definitely get there early to see Judge at batting practice. BTW, I read the book of the movie you saw. It was good, but dark and disturbing. I'm happy that you are also feeling determined. I read a comment in a forum I was skimming through the other day that described the feeling perfectly..."There is a small window when both hope and willingness are present, and it is incredibly important to START whenever that little miracle occurs." I feel like I am in that window right now and need to make the most of it before it ends.
Kathy - Sorry you're struggling with food. One clean eating day can make all the difference.
Waving to the rest!

Good morning! The sun is actually out today. It's been cold and dreary for most of the week. It's supposed to get into the 90's on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I'm thinking of doing a sponsored bike ride on Sunday. They have distances of 25, 40, 65, and 100 miles. My legs could go at least 40, if not the 65, but my rear end is another story. I'll double up with both my padded seat cover and my padded shorts.
Garmin is replacing my watch, no questions asked. I had to email my info along with a picture of the defect.
Nancy, smart thinking about the beginning of the end. I know EXACTLY what you mean. Great picture of you and the girls on Facebook! Did DH take it? Does he still do much with photography?
Edesia, enjoy the game on Saturday! We're going to an Indians game on July 4. The window comment is very true.
Kathy, hoping you had a day filled with nutritious foods!
Beth, so glad your foot is on the mend. Mine took months, and it's still not 100%.

Edesia...I LOVE the window comment! perfectly said. Yes, I KNOW you liked last night's game better Our announcers were talking about watching Judge during BP, being amazed, and wondering about the possibility of him being in the HR hitting contest at the All Star Game. That would be fun to see (even though I'm not big on the HR contest). I resisted an urge yesterday when I went for my lunchtime walk to Dunkin's and got my iced coffee. They had a new kind of donut (I always like to try the new stuff)...but I resisted. I will try to plan it in for next week...maybe my walking buddy will split one with me. What would be even better would be if they offered samples...then I could just have one bite! Pickleball was an absolute BLAST last night. It was PERFECT weather. sunny clear blue skies, NO wind, 75 degrees. AHHHHHHH. I played for over 3 hours so will only play an hour or so tonight....am going to Trader Joe's and WW meeting FIRST. I got up early this morning and before heading off to work was able to make the menu plan for next week. It's going to be hot so I'm pulling out some of my grain & bean & chicken & veggie salad recipes. Let's Be Good To Ourselves Today!

Good Morning Bffs,
Last night was the end of year dinner - Italian theme. I was good up to the dinner, food was okay but I over indulged in the dessert and I paid the price. Last night, I had the worst leg cramps - jumping out of bed numerous times and very painful. I had forgotten how too much sugar triggers them for me. Lesson learned. Back on the beam today....
Edesia - great Window comment!!
Crazy busy trying to get everything done before vacation. Thinking of all of you - Have a great day!!
