Happy Day All!
BettyJ - Now you have me thinking about a turkey! I wish I was like you and smart enough to make soup with the carcass. I guess I'm just not that much of a soup eater. Hope you did get your lazy day.
PeggySue - are you feeling better today? I know you said you just didn't have any energy, but hopefully it's just after-Christmas fatigue and not something coming on.
Emily - so sorry you had a scare yesterday. DS#2 is TJ's dad, isn't he? Glad DS#1 was with you. DS#2 was surely glad you were there!
Linda - glad you're up to going back to the museum. Must mean your knee is doing lots better.
Dayle - so many people complain about taking down Christmas decorations (not referring to you - just thinking.) I always thought they came down so much easier than they went up - no particular thinking involved! Did Miss Lily help?
Connie - I'm so glad you had such a great time! It was an awesome gift - not just the concert, but the trip, the time together with family. What a terrific memory for all!
Geri - did you get all your decorating done for the party today?
Art - I know you had fun shooting with DGSs, and then Star Wars on top of that? Was it as good as the other movies?
Although I wanted to just crash, I did walk about 1/2 mile with Charlie, and we visited his favorite person, the lady up the street who is 91. It was a surprise for her and she was SO happy to see Charlie. He immediately rolled over next to her chair so she could rub his tummy while we talked. Then I went to the base and had blood drawn for my appt next week and went to the commissary. I need to shop there more often as it is cheaper in many areas. I tend to just run in to Winn Dixie or WalMart. Oh - I think the lady who drew my blood thought I'd been abused! I have bruises on both forearms from playing with the dogs at the shelters - they do tend to jump on you. I assured her I had fun getting those bruises!
By the time I got home and everything put away (DH unloaded the car) it was 2:30 and I was starving and pooped out! Pretty much read and watched tv the rest of the day. Did make enchiladas for supper to spice up our lives a bit.
Absolutely nothing planned for today. The rain just started and the temps are supposed to drop fairly quickly. It's 70 now. High tomorrow is around 55. Meant to get my walk in before the rain, but will have to change plans. We live on a dirt road so hopefully won't rain too much. HA! It's quit already, but not sure for how long.
Enjoy your day today, everyone and I hope each of you has at least one good laugh!
