Good Morning Train Riders,
This morning it was 30º (feels like 19º) with a few clouds and going up to 44º and windy and sunny with winds WNW 10-15 mph.
I’m posting a bit later than usual today because I enjoyed lounging in my cozy bed for a while and I woke up with my arthritis having a flare up so I was aching. I’ll get some relief once my Tramadol starts working. All three girls are still asleep and enjoying the last few days of Christmas break.
King and MJ took Rachael to the mall in Lincoln so she could buy something with a gift card she got for Christmas. I was surprised that no one else wanted to go and use theirs.
For supper last night MJ made chicken stir fry and used angel hair pasta instead of rice for a change and it was delicious.
Another Japan memory: I remember when we were at Lake Nojiri in the summer and we would have an occasional all day rain. There would be no swimming or boating or outdoor play so it would be a good day to get out a jigsaw puzzle and make popcorn in the fireplace. We had a popcorn popper on a long metal handle that could be held over an open fire. I still remember how good the house smelled for the rest of the day and evening until we could open windows again. We were always glad if it was just a one day rain but it was a lot of fun too. More tomorrow.

Good Morning!
We expect to have a quiet day today. Yesterday DH fell coming out of the bank, but he didn't do any serious damage to himself. Very lucky. Today he will try to finish the errands he set out to do yesterday.
Your memory sounds so nice and comfy, Doris.
Our DGD2's birthday is today. She is 12! We will have her for a while tomorrow, and we asked her what she wanted to do -- she wants to have her cousin come over and us all to play board games! So I'll try to set that up today.
Have a lovely day today, friends! Diane

Hello, Doris & Train Riders,
The fog is clearing out right now. The word snow is showing up for Sunday. It is 38 going to 44, let's hope.
So much gets canceled when a storm shows up here. I guess because of ice and so many little but steep hills.
Had blueberry pancakes for breakfast and that is a nice way to start the day.
Not much to report. Happy day to all!

That 40 degree weather actually feels pretty good! We did Meals on Wheels this morning and it was pleasant to go in and out.
My sister called and Abel's mom did get a ticket to go to Africa. Actually Abel found it on line and it was within her budget. They are going up tomorrow morning and so we have Abel for however many weeks she plans on being gone, last year it was almost 7 weeks. Abel spent two nights with Matt when the kids were here and he said that Abel actually entertained his kids and as usual with us is easy to have around.

Diane so sorry your DH took a tumble. Today the snow was all slush and parking along the street was a real mess. We traipsed in snow and water about 6 inches deep. If it freezes tonight and tomorrow going to be a real mess but don't think I am going anywhere anyway. My text size doesn't want to stay tonight. so will carry on and hope it is okay.
It is upper 30° but tonight going to be in low 20°'s and more snow on way.
I am not sure what I am going to have to eat have not been hungry, had a good lunch today. wish I had some apples and will put them on grocery list.
