Good Afternoon, Flyangels!
Cathy - hope you are enjoying your week and feeling excitement for the new job!
We did a big decluttering of the kitchen the LR because we were having friends over. Nothing motivates a cleanup quite like having to prepare for company, right? LOL! We're still in pretty good shape, so now I get to return my focus to the paper-and-whatnot messes in the DR and BR. I have mounds and mounds of "stuff" to tackle. Back to using the timer. 15 minutes at a time. I can do this!
My list for Thursday 12/29: 1 chiro appt - done 2 mini grocery run - done 3 track food - (<--I'm putting this on my list as a reminder: I need to track EVERYTHING!) 4 declutter paper mess - 5 check on Old House - 6 set up new backup drives for computer (DBF needs to help with this!) - 7 call gal pals to schedule lunch -
Be well! Carol

Good afternoon Carol and all others to follow: Thank you Carol for your kind wishes. I had to go for a mini exam yesterday and really felt my privacy was invaded. I truly didn't feel like the questions they were asking had anything to do with my job. I understand any questions regarding contagious diseases, but they were being more invasive than that in their questions. I had a couple of shots (the hepatitis B really hurts) and was glad to get out of there. Tomorrow I have to go at 8:00 am to do a lot of HR paperwork and finally get my badge. I am excited and am trying to get my thoughts organized about how I will work 8-5 with a 1 hr 15 min commute in the morning and evening and still keep up with everything. It is back to flybaby routines for me. I went grocery shopping today to stock up on healthy food to start the New Year out right.
I agree that I am more motivated to clean when friends are coming than where it is just us relaxing. I have been off for months and my office still looks the same. I am sorry I didn't take care of it when I could but it is frustrating when it is filled with my DS's stuff.
I am going to keep my tree up for another week then it will come down. I love having it up all of Jan but I know DH doesn't and with me working I need to stay on track.
List: Grocery shopping - done Dr appt - done Get (or make) four sympathy cards and send (so many of my family and friends have had losses) Pay DS's ins - done Update budget (trying to do this daily) Clean kitchen (really a mess) Clean living room (still has Christmas stocking gifts in it and some wrapping and boxes) Do nightly routine for work
