Thanks for the start, Chele. Enjoy your trip to WBU for your birthday bag. I need to grab some suet blocks the next time I'm close to Ace Hardware. I think I have a couple left from last year and need to get that back out now that the weather is colder. So far as Dale helping, he does have assigned tasks. He will be the one taking the truck to the cabinet maker to pick up a load (or two) of sawdust to put over the carboard after I remove the rotting raised beds. He will also be the one to pick up compost at the recycling center (a load or two of that as well) to put over the sawdust. After the half a$$ed job he did weeding the berry patch (that I have to finish up tomorrow), getting him to do any actual garden work is a lost cause. He's good about going to Lowes and Home Depot to pick up big bags of whatever I need, so I guess he does his part. On the youngest grand nephew's name, you put that in a post right after he was born, but I can't remember it now of course. Is there a way to go back into posts about the time he was born if you need it for Iggy's project?
Linda, I guess when you look at the plumbing from the long term perspective, you have got a lot of years out of the system. It's just a shame that everything hit at once and so close to the holidays. Arya doesn't like rain either, so I can sympathize. I'm surprised Minni isn't that fond of getting towel dried. All of mine have loved it. I would be tempted not to answer the phone when your friend calls. I know that's not very nice, but what can you say except "I'm sorry"? I wonder how much of the behavioral issues are related to the dementia. You need to look out for your mental health and some people can really jeopardize that. I think you're right that Medicaid is the next step, unless your state has limited its availability like they have here. They say that we're all just one medical catastrophe away from being in that situation. Good reason to do all we can to stay healthy.
Enjoy tomorrow at DM's and Christmas at DS's, Kathy. What are you taking to add to the feast? We may get Christmas rain as well. Wonder if it's the same system you are supposed to get. I can understand why Publix close to the university would be pretty sane. I was surprised that my Publix wasn't overly crazy on Thursday. Dale has to go right past a Food City on his way home from tennis today and I told him to be extra careful because it will be crazy. Fortunately, there's not anything he needs to stop for. I think in baseball and basketball and maybe other sports, our Olympic teams do have professional athletes on them. All the women on the 2022 basketball team are with WNBA teams. In baseball, I think it's mostly minor league and not MLB players, but they are still professional players. I wonder what changed that allows that to happen.
Been a morning here. I started getting a bit dizzy feeding Arya breakfast and found out my BP was low and it still is. Not sure why but I decided running was probably not in my best interest, so I just did a little resistance training. All I have left on my to-do list is wrapping presents, which I needed to wait until Dale left for tennis. So I'll get that done after I post. I hope everyone has a productive Saturday.

Linda, I thought the same as Karen. With Caller ID you can just not answer. If you don’t feel right not answering, just be forthright a d tell her you have own issues you are dealing with. Oops on the soaking for you and Minni. I hope you get all your plumbing issues taken care of, so you can enjoy Christmas.
Karen, Iggy found a roundabout way to find out name of Christopher. This is second son of niece in Lebanon. I’ve decided on a kidney bean casserole with wine and mushrooms for Christmas Day. Getting the bags and loading and unloading the truck is a lot of work. Iggy’s idea of weeding is taking the weed whacker to them not digging them out. I hope your BP elevates a little bit. Happy wrapping. Do you still do paper and bows or bags?
Kathy, you got lucky at the store. Is DN coming home for Christmas? I’m sure everyone misses him. Happy wrapping Day!
We made our trip to WBU, so we are set for a while on feeding the birds. We have seen 2 ravens hanging around the area. This is unusual as they usually just pass through. I had to get my binoculars out to identify them in the condo roofs. I knew they weren’t hawks because of their color.

Karen, I forgot that they'd changed the rules to allow the pro backetball and baseball players. I'm not sure what the rules are anymore. Did you see that FSU is suing the ACC? I don't really know the details yet, but I'm sure we'll be hearing about it. They're expecting that some of the other schools will also sue. Basically, FSU is trying to get out of the huge fee they'd have to pay if they leave the ACC. The ACC has also sued FSU, but in NC and they might not even have jurisdiction to do that. What a mess!! Hope you're feeling okay.
Chele, the birds will be happy with all that seed. DN is coming home. It's about a 45 minute drive, so he is over fairly often. I wonder what those ravens are up to?
Linda, I agree with the others on just not answering the phone, especailly since you're not that close and there isn't anything you can do. Hope you're done with the plumbing problems and the rain. We got a light shower yesterday which was a surprise.

Linda, I guess there’s a reason they call it “punch.” 😁your trifle sounds delightful. How nice of you to share your goodies with the neighbors. I imagine doing the books keeps your neighbor”s brain really engaged which is good. Hurray for getting your plumbing fixed early and the plexiglass installed. I am not surprised TJ’s was so busy.
Kathy, the only thing I can think of attracting the ravens is a carcass of some kind. Our HOA owns some empty land in between two neighborhoods so there might have been something there.
Karen, has your BP recovered? Did you get your wrapping done? Are you doing any cooking today? We are also supposed to have rain tomorrow while today is merely cloudy.
Nothing special on the agenda today. I’ll probably workout and then we’ll watch The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy On Demand. These are the only fantasy movies Iggy has ever liked. Tomorrow will be A Christmas Story.
Have a good Christmas Eve everyone!

Kathy, I quit trying to keep up with changing rules at the Olympics. I know the people who compete in bicycling, triathlon, and road races are also technically professionals because they take home prize money from races. A lot of Tour de France riders will even leave the race early (if they aren't in the lead anyway) to represent their respective countries in the Summer Olympics, so it's just not the US. I hadn't seen that FSU and the ACC were suing each other. Sports is entertainment for us fans but big business for the schools and leagues. Don't we have a Doctor Who special on Disney+ tomorrow with our new Doctor? Enjoy your family festivities. Was the unexpected rain a good thing or a bad thing?
Hmmmmm..., on the ravens, Chele. You might be right about something in the open land. We heard coyotes after dark last night and it hit me that I haven't seen any of our bambies or bunnies in a while. I hope they are just hiding out. We wrap presents but no bows/ribbons. DFIL was Mr. Christmas and I remember going to the Hallmark Store with DMIL the day after Christmas to get the special paper he liked to use at 50% off. Sometimes it was almost a shame to open his packages. Christmas was always a big deal for my in-laws and I really miss that. Thanks for the NASA link. I'm either listening to new age or smooth jazz, so it will be perfect for me. I have to bake the weekly loaf of sourdough today (which will be part of our feast), but I think that's it for kitchen stuff. I will bake the veggie roast and potatoes tomorrow. He'll have a salad and I'll have steamed kale. I do have to marinate some tofu, but that's quick and easy. Enjoy the Baggins fellas. Return of the King is my all-time favorite movie. We will probably also watch A Christmas Story tomorrow, but also plan to watch the latest Grinch movie (with Benedict Cumberbatch as the green guy) and Anna and the Apocalypse. I tried to watch A Bad Moms Christmas yesterday but gave up after the 5th time streaming buffered and didn't return, so I may not be seeing that one this year.
Linda, that's A LOT of rum in that punch! I guess it was a miracle finding any place to park near TJ's yesterday. Nothing has calories this time of year😋. Are you finished with plumbing issues now (so far as you know anyway)? I hope Minni doesn't fret too badly while you're gone to DB's. Good for the neighbors to keep engaged in something that hopefully keeps their brains intact.
BP seems to be back to normal today. It was 112/73 after Arya's breakfast when I finally got a chance to sit down. After it warms up (it's still only 34°) this afternoon, I plan to go out to get some work done. I need to mulch the pomegranate trees, finish weeding the blackberry patch, and plant some garlic (only about a month late on that). Dale said he would remove what's left of the raised beds (he said he foresaw bloodshed if I attempted it--I'll take whatever help I can get), so perhaps I can get some of the dirt moved around if I have time this afternoon. Happy Christmas Eve, Chicks!
