Hi owls & hens. Decided to start early tonight because Dave decided we were going to meet friends for supper so don't know what time we'll be home.
Had a really bad night last night. Woke up at 1 with really bad acid reflux. Took an hour to get it to quit burning. Finally got back to sleep about 3 and shortly after woke up extremely nauseated. Only lasted a few minutes.
Did 2 loads of laundry this morning and made the chicken & dumplings for DD. Also got my Christmas decorations all taken down and put away. About 11 Dave decided we should go get the car serviced so that took about an hour. The dealer is always so busy. Went to Pet Co after that to pick up stuff we needed for when our puppy comes tomorrow. So many things there to choose from. Bought food, 2 collars (both on clearance), puppy pads, and 3 toys.
Think I'll go take a shower. Maybe that will wake me up a bit. Have a good night. bettyj

Betty, please share pictures of your new baby. I know you have wanted a pup for a long time. Potty training, oops, house breaking is the hardest. Just a hint, take puppy out in the rain, in the snow, in the grass, in other words, let pup potty every where. Brenna will go out in the rain if she has to go. When she was a pup, I would take her out back, in the rain. Lots of pups will not do that because they were always only taken out when it is nice out. Crate training is the easiest and a treat when going potty is a good bribe. Nylabones are good chew toys, and Kongs are good too. I'm a fanatic, will buy no toys made in China. Taking pup out is better than pee pee pads.
I had bells on the back door and every time I took a pup out, would tap their nose on the bells, soon they learn that ringing the bells will get them out to potty. Craft store bells and I put them on yarn. I need new ones for the back door, they get smashed in the slider.
Pizza day with friends and it was such fun. One of our servers is Jewish and said she will make kugle and share it with us next Thursday. We have been doing this for years, I have been with them for over 5. Met these great ladies not long after I lost my man. I am a lucky lady to have them in my life.

Good friends are indeed a blessing. The couple we had over for dinner tonight we have known for 35 years. They live a good distance away now and she still works, so we don't see them often, but it is the kind of thing where you can talk as if you have been seeing each other all the time. He is sort of a dog whisperer and Micki loves him. They will take Micki if something should happen to us.
