Good morning to all!
We have survived Christmas, but DD1’s family has been hit with illness. Abby recovered from the flu in time to join the festivities, but her dad got Covid and missed everything. Today, DD1 tested positive for flu. ☹️ I’m hoping that if I do get sick it is after Thursday when I get my hair done and then stitches out and that I remain well enough to continue my therapy exercises.
Somewhat surprisingly, I haven’t had much appetite lately, so while I enjoyed a few holiday favorites, I haven’t grossly overeaten. Since I’ve been sleeping in another room, I frequently forget to go to our bedroom where my scale is to weigh in. But when I do remember, I seem to be hovering at 9 lbs. above goal. Not terrible, but not great either. I’ve only walked once in the past week.
I hope you are all well and enjoying time with family and friends.

Thanks for the start Pam. So very sorry to hear about all that you are dealing with.
9 over goal is doable and will come off once you are able to walk.
Praying you remain healthy and that all feel better.
Our Christmas was very quiet and laid back. I did overdo on the goodies the past 2 days but feel I got a Christmas miracle by only being up 1.1!!!
Waving to Judy and Sue.

Holiday greetings my distant friends ~
We are home in Michigan. Yesterday we had a very foggy day with low hanging clouds all day and into the evening! We enjoyed the Alkathon in the morning, and visiting. We stopped at home to catch up with ourselves, and then went to a dinner gathering of DH's extended family. It was a great time with four generations in attendance so much conversation and laughter. We got home late (8 o'clock) and went right to bed and then slept in this morning. I am still tired!
Glad to hear from all of you but sorry about various illnesses, but we have them here as well, just not at our house (yet)! We have had all of our vaccinations, and hope to avoid the sickness.
We are going to take it easy tonight get caught up. We got a text from Rick's kids asking to meet up for dinner together while they are all in town. I would LOVE to see them!! This week I am still recovering from vertigo, and only have this week and next to work on regaining my balance to go back to school.
Today I have been catching up on paperwork that had fallen behind while I've been "under the weather" and hope to get back to my usual self soon!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi all,
I realize it’s Wednesday, not Tuesday but hopefully you will see my message. I’m so glad everybody had a wonderful Christmas except for the illnesses. We are still in Costa Rica and having a great time, but even for me, it is just too hot lately. I’d like it if you’re about 10° cooler. Our granddaughter Sophie does not like the heat at all. She sort of like you, ann! Yesterday we took a very fun catamaran trip to an island where we saw sea turtles, dolphins, and all kinds of fish while snorkeling and swimming. It was a long trip of about five hours. Sebastian had a bit too much son. He was sick during the night and is just recovering now. We have to be so careful with this powerful sun, and it was almost like the height of summer here for them.
The food has been very good , and I’ve had my fill of pineapple, mango, guava, cantaloupe and watermelon. All of it is so flavorful and delicious - unlike anything I have had at home in years. I guess that’s the difference when you can pick it right off the vine or from the crops in the field.
We will head home on Saturday at around 3 o’clock. It’s been a wonderful trip and we still have a couple days to go. We plan to take it easy and enjoy the ocean and the pool. I’ll send some pictures when I get a chance so you can see the beauty of Costa Rica. The people are warm and friendly hotel is filled with Canadians, Americans and Costa Ricans.
Thinking of you all and glad everyone is doing well

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
It is Thursday morning and in the 40's and muggy as can be. I am still unable to log on to the Cafe like before, I don't know where "it went". But if I search long enough, I'll get somewhere. This time I ended up here .....
We have had a wonderful week together. DH had a few small jobs he wanted to get done. Then we set aside a few errands to run this afternoon together. Then we can put away all the Christmas stuff. I have a sweater to return as well as a pair of leggings. DH bought a couple of things that should be returned, so we have our items and receipts all put together for this afternoon.
Good to hear from all of you this morning. Have a wonderful day!!

Sue so frustrating when that happens. Sounds like you are feeling better.
Our rain stopped so we were able to get 2 walks in. Benjamin loved his sniffing time.
Sweet dreams.

DH and I got all our errands run today, despite the steady rain. We went to The Mall and returned a sweater, then to Meijer and exchanged a pair of Skecher's Go-Walk leggings. Neither one took much time at all. Then we stopped at a small local eatery for lunch and a visit with the husband and wife who own it. That felt very festive to us, much like holidays should be.
I have packed away the decorated boxes and bags for next year (gift wrapping). The living room is once again back to normal (and it isn't even NY yet). We have some fun things on the calendar for the next couple weeks. I have a lunch with my fitness buddy tomorrow. Sunday we will have Brunch with DBIL andthen next Wednesday dinner with Rick's kids who are all in town at the same time.
I am currently reading up on vertigo exercises. I got a solid recommendation on them from a friend. Hopefully they will help!
Wishing you all a wonderful evening!
