Sandy, glad you popped in to tell us what is going on with you. Hope you get some good rest and feel better soon. I had a couple of days like that and Sunday slept off and on all day. Just felt done in. Hope today is a better day!!
Kathie, I honestly do not know how you do all that you do. Sometimes must be really bad when Jim is not himself. And who gets the flack, the one who is caring for them. Just remember he is not himself, Just the dementia taking over. Thank you for tucking us in anyway. Wish you had someone to tuck you in as well.
I am up, not really wide awake but could not lay in that bed and be depressed. So here I am. the wind is still blowing and the gusts are pretty noisy. right now no rain or snow but supposed to get both. My car is back and all inspected, as expected just a little bit more money than last year but car passed with flying colors. Mechanic told my Son in law. a Great car in wonderful condition . So I am a happy camper. I was little bit worried never know about the wear of the brakes etc, and tires good for awhile as well. Was keeping my fingers crossed.
Molly, hope the internet gets straightened out. I always feel out of touch when that happens.

Good morning. I am up, coffee made and sitting in my chair with my ice pack on my back. Think I am doing ok with the walker. Really didn't want to start using it but felt so shaky with just a cane. Won't be going to friends for coffee this morning. Their side walk is pavers and quite uneven. Pat and I were suppose to go to Costco this morning to get our hearing aides cleaned but decided that big place was just too much for me to walk around in. I really didn't need anything. Ordered some things I needed from Amazon and they should come today.
Another gray cold day here. Only a little snow left on the grassy areas but snow is in the forecast along with below zero temps. Guess I'll be staying in for many days. Do have a PT appt tomorrow but I can get to that I think. Not far to walk into the building..
Sandy, hope you feel better as the day goes on. Connie, any news on your brother?

Betty, no I haven't heard anything more and don't like to text or call until about 9pm their time and that is midnight mine, so figured no news means no changes at this time. My sister in law needs all the sleep she can get and her time is after she gets my brother settled for the night.
I am sleeping pretty good right now but waking up really early and not like me at all. Changes and not sure why.
Glad I have some good books and Betty hope you do as well. I am going to start an ice skating puzzles today. 1000 pieces and the little bigger pieces. Just cannot do the small pieces anymore and My DD got me a princess one that would not be fun. So donating it to Goodwill. I am pretty sure I told her about the bigger pieces but she probably forgot. She does not do puzzles.
I also play Microsoft on my computer a new puzzle each day. Big screen and bigger keys. Am not much a game person. Tried to play one with Emma when she was here , new one she got for Christmas. She is a typical kid and hates to lose so I won't be doing that again. I didn't play games with my Grandkids and would do anything else they wanted to but told them Grandma does not Do games. hated those temper tantrums. Now they can deal with their kids' tantrums. Great GrandMa does not do games!!! Get out the play doh or paints or anything else.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Rough night. I will definitely nap in my chair. We are to get really cold in a few days. Son is planning on coming Thursday and get my pipes wrapped. I always leave faucets dripping when it gets that cold. Last cuppa then I will get dressed. Diane, I walked back and forth in the house yesterday. I thought of you. Then I did the treadmill. Laters Gators.

Sandy, my brother was really tired and still coughing from COVID for a month. Flu does it too. Yuck.
34 at 7:15, 12 degrees below norm here and probably colder an hour before. Tired of wacky weather..long miserable heat this summer that killed a lot of landscape, now frost- damaged landscape. Poor yard cannot get break.
dentist this morning, mammo this afternoon, fun times!

Hi! The first load of laundry is washing, and I decided to hide in my sewing room for a bit. We must all be in the post-Christmas doldrums. Here, we have the bright glaring sunshine. It helped. Sure hope it happens for you too! The weather interfered with Internet reception last night. At least, that's the story I am sticking with! LOL! BBL!

Happy Wednesday!
Thank you for starting us off this morning, Molly! Sandy, hope you feel better soon. Prayers.
I loved the math talk. I could use what I knew to complete assignments, but when I got into Trig, I foundered. I took no math in college, because I majored in modern languages, and didn't need it.
We woke up to 26º this morning, and a newscast that said it would be very cold for the next 5 days or so. It is up to 43º now, so we plan to meet DGD1 for lunch and do any things that must be done before coming home to hide out. I fixed oatmeal this morning and used all but 1/2 cup of milk, so that's one thing.
I am very tempted to order a ham steak to go and bring it home for dinner! But DH said he want to bake a frozen pizza this evening. We'll have to talk. Hmmm.
The sun is shining and the wind has calmed, so we should be fine. I don't want to go in a crowd, though, so DH will run in for milk, etc.
I wish we would hear about David and Lindsey, but when DH picks up DGD3 to take her home from school, she'll probably tell him how they are.
Stay warm and safe, friends.
Diane

Just heard the youngest of my DGGD's is vomiting. Her mom took her to the doctor and they didn't do anything for her. I will simply pray that she is OK soon. She is just a little past 1 yrs. old.
My Shana pooped in the dining room again....3rd time is the past two weeks. Not sure what is going on with her. She hasn't done that for over 3 yrs. I balled her out and put her outside and threw out the poop in the front yard where she goes. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that she watches me clean up Jim all the time.
Jim had his shower today and my friend did my shopping again. She works for Instacart but does my shopping just for me. I tip her better than Instacart so she intends to keep doing my shopping even when she gets her job that she is finishing school for. She got 100% on her end term.....She is going to be an EMT soon. She already saved a woman's life when she was shopping for me at Walmart. The lady passed out and stopped breathing when in her arms so she brought her back to life and paramedics took her to the hospital. She had come with groceries one time from Instacart and when she saw the ranch she told me she used to ride here on her mother's horse when she was little. I owned the ranch when she was little since she is 37 now and I have owned it for almost 30 yrs. She has done all my grocery shopping since then.
Will see you all later for tuck in!
A New Kathie

I finally got a load of towels washed and now in the dryer. I haven't done much else today. It's been snowing off and on. I didn't go out for the mail since it the driveway is wet and might be have been slippery.

Tucking you all in now in our new blanket:
We are all babies sitting on a soft white down comforter and in front of each of us is a drawer which we are going thru and only keeping things that are of interest to us NOW.......Sweet dreams!
