I unprocrastinated and ordered the free FitBit. It’s an Inspire 3 and is supposed to hold a 10 day charge.

.34 at 7:15, 12 degrees below norm here and probably colder an hour before. Tired of wacky weather..long miserable heat this summer that killed a lot of landscape, now frost- damaged landscape. Poor yard cannot get break.
hope you all have power and no storm damage…another coming Friday-Sat.
dentist this morning, mammo this afternoon, fun times! Linda

Thanks for the start, Chele. Congrats on getting the FitBit ordered. It looks a lot like the one I used to have. The 10-day battery life sounds great and I hope that's accurate. I can usually get only 4 or 5 out of my Garmin, as long as I don't track my sleep. Then I'm lucky to get 2 days because of all the extra things. How much rain did you get? Are you expecting another system to come through this weekend like we are? Next week they are saying we will stay below freezing for the highs, so not looking forward to that much cold.
Kathy, did you get any of the nasty weather in the Orlando area? I hope all is well for you, DM, and DS/DBIL and you all kept power. I saw the Panama City damage. That's not far from where DB used to live. Did FSU have any issues? Did you see the final football rankings.
Good luck with your appointments today, Linda. You were colder than we were again this morning. Your plants can't seem to get a break, between the heat of the summer and now frost.
We had lots of wind and rain but nothing any more serious. We did have a rough night and Arya is sleeping it off right now. Liz and Gary did have trees come down and do some damage to their house, but they are all fine, at least physically. A tornado touched down about 20 miles from where we lived in NC, killing one and injuring at least 4. BFF and her DH were supposed to move into a new house yesterday but wisely delayed til today. They had nasty storms come through where they are moving from. Dale went to the trails and I hope he won't have downed trees to contend with there. Not much going on here. I did my first treadmill run since this cold came on and it went fine. Still a little sniffly, but I think I should be over this in a couple of days.

Karen, we had some nasty weather around 5pm yesterday. We had a tornado warning in the university area and they were telling everyone to take shelter. There was another one up by DS and the tornado sirens near her went off. They're one of the few places in Florida that have them. Then there was a 3rd one where DN lives. As far as I know, none of them touched down and I haven't heard of any damage or power outages here. FSU was closed for the day and had some nasty weather, but I haven't heard of any damage there. Thanks for the update on Liz. Sorry to hear she had damage to the house and hope it's not too bad. Glad you didn't have any damage. Hope that cold disappears soon.
I just looked at the rankings. Congrats to you on such a good showing for your teams! I'm sure it was hard to figure out where to place FSU with such a bizarre ending, but I was relieved to see they only dropped them two places. Not too great of a showing for the ACC since FSU was the only one in the top 10. Along with the headlines on the final rankings, I saw one with predictions on who will be in the 12 team playoff next year. It's way too early for that!
Linda, good luck with your appointments. We had nasty weather, but no damage. We have another round coming on Friday. You know it's bad when you get a message that your Amazon delivery was delayed due to weather. Those temperature swings are rough on the landscaping. We haven't had a hard freeze since I moved here and I hate to think how much damage that could do to everything that has grown up in the meantime.

Linda, after all the work you did to replant I hope that they survive. We have had rain and strong winds but kept power. I hope all goes well at dentist and mammo is not uncomfortable.
Karen, we logged 1.5 inches of rain yesterday, a new record. The winds have been gusty but seem to have calmed down this afternoon. I hope Dale’s run goes smoothly and glad you’re feeling better. I hope Liz and Gary’s place doesn’t need too much repair and glad they are all right. I’m glad your BFF did not have any damage to new place.
Kathy, I’m happy all of you escaped a tornado touchdown. They took our sirens away but we still hear the ones at the base. I guess the city figures we all get phone alerts.
We are expecting rain and/ or snow on Friday and snow Saturday and Sunday with below freezing temperatures all next week just like you, Karen. Boo! I’ve been enjoying the mild winter.

.knee was better mostly today, but I walked Minni so I could Leave for dentist and not have DH out doing it with nobody home. No cavities. Did a couple things, the off to mammo and ordered Chinese on the road. Mailed stuff on the way, picked up food and mail at the box, and DH had had his afternoon glass of wine …so I was stuck walking her again. Last four houses my knee got mad. Achy, teeth ache and sore boobs, but At least I do not have to cook.

We get rain again tomorrow briefly and the high country here gets snow slammed again as the jet stream drops to Mexico and the next big storm heads to some of you.
