What do you think of the idea that most cravings come from seeing food, smelling food, being under stress, and being very hungry? Are there other reasons you get cravings?

I also can get cravings from hearing people talk about food and being around the food. Oh, and having a food can then lead me to keep craving it. One of my WW leaders had a rule that in her meetings you didn't talk about food, like describing what you overate on that week because it could set other members off.

I think it is all related to the nervous system relaying messages to the brain. Five senses can be triggered as well as memories and when enough triggers occur it takes the mental ability to 🛑 the message and put in another one to override the habits that have been created. My hope is that eventually rerouting them will eventually see me avoiding what I might be thinking I want/need/crave and instead find myself doing an about face or reaching for something healthier instead.
