Kathy, I just saw this quote from an article in the NY Times, "And soon, universities may have permission to pay athletes directly." Have you heard anything about that? I wonder if the NIL money will be filtering through the universities or if they will be paying players over and above NIL. So much for amateur athletics at the college level. Did your cold front come through? Any rain with it?
How much snow did you get, Chele? We probably have around 2" right now but it's still coming down, with some heavy stuff headed our way. It didn't look that bad at 8am and I thought about going to class. Then I checked the rec center's FB page and it said they were closed today. Glad I checked because the snow intensity increased when I would have been on the road. The video footage around the region doesn't look good, so I'm glad I stayed home.
Linda, please tell me your temperatures are starting to warm up so I'll know we will soon be out of the deep freeze. How are you feeling today?
A load of laundry is all I have gotten accomplished so far. I did a workout similar to what we do in iTone and it's a lot easier to follow someone else's direction than to make up my own program. I need to find something similar on YouTube that I can do when making it to class isn't an option. Due to the frigid weather coming in, a lot of government and school systems have already canceled for tomorrow. Neither of us plans to go out until Wednesday at the earliest.

We didn’t get anything but a dusting of snow, but it is frigid still and will be all this week.
Karen, you are getting more snow than we are. How’d you get so lucky? I wondered if you would go to class today. I see Texas is in a deep freeze again. I hope ERCOT can handle it. I got accepted to SUNY Buffalo and had a grammar school friend who went there. After what she told me about the snow there was no way I was going there.
Linda, Iggy keeps moving things in the kitchen and I keep moving them back. He forgets how short I am and he keeps moving the things I use up high.
Kathy, are your temps back to normal? Are you watching any of the pro games? How about the NFL putting the Chiefs/Dolphins game on Peacock? Next thing you know the Super Bowl will be streaming only.
I rescheduled my opthamologist appointment from this morning to Wednesday morning as I had a stomach upset overnight and didn’t sleep. It’s better now. I am sticking with water and saltines, just in case.

Karen, there was an article in our local paper about the college athletes not being amateurs anymore. I'll have to see if I can find it. We're getting a warm front first, so it's in the 70s and muggy with some light drizzle. It actually got warmer overnight as the front came up from the south. Then we're supposed to get the cold front and go the other direction. Up and down... Don't blame you for not going out in that. Hope it warms up soon.
Chele, I think we're warmer than normal right now and later in the week, we'll be colder than normal. I can't keep up! It's really humid right now, so I prefer it a bit cooler. I watched the Chiefs/Dolphins on Peacock and think it's ridiculous to put a playoff game on streaming only. I get Peacock with my cable, but a lot of people don't. The Dolphins looked like frozen porpoises out there! They couldn't do anything. Hope your stomach is better tonight.
Linda, I wouldn't want to live in upstate NY either. I still have some cousins there, but I guess they're used to it since they've lived there their whole lives.

Just saw there is a hard freeze alert for Northwestern FL starting on Tuesday night, so colder temps are coming. We won't get that cold though.

.at least some good news. After a certain age they avoid colonoscopy because tissues are thin and the drugs are hard in old people. My dna colon test by mail because I am over 77 came back negative for cancer. They look for cancer dna. Phew
Some awful temps in the country. We finally hit 70, 39 this morning and going up at last…still lower than average.
not much going on today. Cutting back dead flowers and picking up stuff blown down in hard wind, deskwork, and set up two bedroom air purifiers hoping it helps allergies.walked Minni 1/4 mile and started some Pt. Sure feel it now,
