Hi Friends,
Since I am late creating the thread, I thought I would create a two day combo. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and Sunday. Ours was relaxing. I made a black bean soup - Panera recipe in the Instant Pot. We've been watching football - congrats, Sue, to your Detroit Lions! I have become a football fan in the past few years and really look forward to watching playoff games. I am hoping that Buffalo beats K.C. tonight. Buffalo deserves a break. :-)
I have my ukulele class in about an hour and then tomorrow morning a friend from my virtual class is coming down here for a music lesson at our senior center! I hope to go up during my lunch hour to see her. I wish I had time to have her over for lunch, but it's a busy work day for me.
I am reading a light and fluffy Nora Roberts book now called The Witness. It keeps me flipping pages so that's good.
We had the chili pie for lunch and the the black bean soup for dinner. The soup had loads of veggies - carrots, celery, red and orange peppers, onions, garlic, etc.l It's very good and used dried beans - not canned. I also bought ingredients to make a WW soup with cabbage and other veggies. I really need to bulk up on the veggies.
Have a good rest of the weekend friends. TTFN

Happy Sunday all!
I spent another miserable night with nerve pain in my hand and arm. It got better and I felt fine when I went to 8:00 Mass, but it came back with a vengeance before noon. I was almost in tears, so took two Advil and called DD3 for a chat to take my mind off of it. By the time we ended the call, things had settled down and I’ve been okay since. I’m keeping fingers crossed that tonight will be restful.
Debbie and I got in a good long walk at 3:00 when the temps reached a high of 46. I dressed in layers and had to shed the outer one midway. DH took Abby to her shooting class after she got back from a softball game and then dropped her off at basketball practice. Oh to have the energy of the young! Anna picked her up from basketball practice and then the two of them stopped by for a visit. I am so thankful they still like to come! I told Abby to take her bath as soon as she got home because she will probably crash after eating supper.
Last evening, DH and I attended a concert by a group called The Walrus, which specializes in Beatles songs. They were accompanied by a string quartet called Yat and together they were awesome. I especially liked their renditions of Eleanor Rigby and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, which earned them a standing ovation.
I made a recipe of Smoky Sausage and Rice with chicken added. It's similar to jambalaya and has blackeyed peas, too, so it’s very filling.
Sue - I hope DBIL is doing better.
Judy - The meat pies sound delicious!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday! We are still very cold with more snow predicted today, but I am dressed for it.
Ann ~ So good to hear from you!
Judy ~ Enjoy your ukulele class! You do the most fun-sounding things! I also am a Nora Roberts fan.
Pam ~ So bummed about your nerve pain. I know how aggravating that is, especially at night.
Off to school in the gently falling snowflakes this morning.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good morning friends!
Ann, SO glad you popped in to see us. I have missed you a lot. Glad you are getting better. Hang in there.
Sue, I hope you have a great day at school and that the snow stays light. Hope you are feeling well, too.
Pam, so sorry to hear about the pain you have been in. You are such a trooper keeping on and working through it all. Glad you have such a good support group with the DDs and your DH and friends and church. I agree about the energy of the young - it is boundless!! I remember my son would come to the Cape, go out in the boat swimming, do some windsurfing, ride his bike miles and then head to Boston for sailing. Ha ha. Your concert sounded like so much fun. We have a few shows coming up that we will be going to - Cowboy Junkies in a week or so and then Emmylou Harris in a month. Should be fun - nothing like live music.
Lots of work for me today. I started out with an early morning meeting and have a packed schedule. I will check in later. Popping out at noon to visit my ukulele friend.

Ann-So good to hear from you and that you’re getting better.
I slept so well last night that I overslept and was late for OT. Afterwards, I did grocery shopping. After lunch, Deb and I walked. It was much warmer, but very windy. I went back to town and had 3 people for Alzheimer’s group.
DH made a cucumber, tomato, onionandavocado salad and grilled a steak, whichwe split. I made potato salad. It was a delicious dinner!
It looks like we’re in for thunderstorms tomorrow which will be winter storms when they reach y’all. Stay safe and warm! I’m going to read a bit and then head to bed. I’m having a bit of nerve pain at the moment and am hoping it goes away so I can sleep.
