What do you know now that you wish you had known at the beginning of your weight management journey?

I can handle being triggered and having cravings. It got easier over time. A big help for me was finding out that a lot of what I craved or triggered on didn't live up to the fuss I made about the situation.

I wish I had internalized the truth that I would need to continue living as I had while losing in order to maintain. I didn't internalize it in 1986, did for a few years till something or other happened and food returned to pre-weight-loss-maintenance eating and I stopped tracking, and am thinking I need a talisman to touch as a reminder OR to get a tattoo where I can see it to remind me once at goal again.

That I can't eat like a kid forever.

That maintenance requires even more effort than initial weight loss.
