(yesterday's post)
Good morning.
I'm using the "pay the guy" method of wallpaper removal, Debbie. That's something that absolutely isn't in my skill set. Washer was delivered on Friday and my brother didn't have the common sense to test it while the installers were there - so of course it's not working. 🤦
We're going out to Georgetown to meet friends for lunch today which will mean a stop at IKEA to pick up new shears for the balcony and Aldi for groceries because Cecilia hates me.
Right now I'm waiting on Cecilia to wake up so we can get this day started. She slept on the couch last night, so I presume I was snoring like it was my job last night.

Good morning.
Got to play with my favorite Shi Tzus yesterday. They really needed baths and managed to set off my nose as a result. A little Flonase and some rest and I'm back in shape today.
IKEA and Aldi were pretty quick stops, so I suppose I should be grateful for that. And I got a nap. 🙏

Happy Monday, Louis- you love dogs so much,it is a shame you are allergic. I’m glad shopping was quick. Taking down wallpaper is no fun. Today started with body pump. I had a dermatologist appointment next, I will have many spots tomorrow. Happy day everyone

Good morning.
I'm not allergic to Shi Tzus, Debbie; just the ones that haven't been bathed in months. The dogs don't get taken to a groomer, so they just get shaved a few times a year. They probably haven't been shaved since November in advance of Winter is my guess.
I have a continuing ed course over lunch today, but otherwise a pretty standard Tuesday. Cecilia made a white chicken chili what was awesome yesterday but gave me heartburn, so I chewed some Tums and went to bed early last night.

Happy Tuesday, Louis - that is awful that they don’t bathe the dogs. White chili sounds great. So with beans or no beans.
Today I did a solo beach walk. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet. It is chilly and overcast today.

Good morning.
White chicken chili uses navy beans, if I have the name right. Being Brazilian, Cecilia puts beans in lots of dishes; usually black beans. She makes a great black bean chili which is very WW friendly as well.
So.. The reason there's no wedding date is because they're trying to get married in Germany. Germany is requiring various documents from Brazil to prove that my nephew isn't already married there. Since they come from different agencies, they take time to assemble. All docs have to be within a 6-month window of certification from the various Brazilian agencies, so they can't predict when everything will arrive or that the last doc will arrive before the first goes stale.
Seems to me the easier answer is to just get married in Brazil, register the marriage in Germany after the fact, and have the reception in Germany. But what do I know?

Happy Wednesday, Louis - it is nice to know they truly love each other. Sounds like a lot of work to an old married gal. Are you going to book a room in casa Pallach for March 2025 to experience Fallas?
Today I did body pump. My weights are back up to normal just in time to leave for holiday. We went shopping because the carry-on bag size is smaller now than 6 years ago. The ironing is caught up and no sewing in progress.

Happy Thursday, I have unpacked and repacked for the final time. The plants are all watered and will have to survive the next 13 days on their own. I have begun cleaning the refrigerator. I did a barre workout and the final stretch challenge workout. I did see some flexibility improvement. Louis - I’m researching and May 2025 river cruise if you’d like to join the fun.

Good morning.
2025 is so far away when you can't really envision anything past July 2024 at this point. That's when I'm hoping to close the estate. I don't think airlines let you book further out than 11 months anyway. 😂
Do you have a friend that can stop by and water the plants? Back when we were in Chicago, we'd move the plants to the tub and let them sit in an inch of water to draw moisture as needed. The tub looked pretty bad when we got back, but the plants were still alive. Can't do it now because there's no natural light in the bathroom here.
Apparently, they can't do a church wedding in Germany. If you declare a religion in Germany, the government deducts tithing from your paycheck, so the mass majority say they're unaffiliated. Otherwise, they could do their church wedding with reception and follow up with the civil side whenever paperwork sorts itself out.

Good morning.
Board meeting yesterday is in the books and I officially have a budget now.
I've scheduled a walk through with one of the Cash Pay Low Ball Buy Your House guys so I can establish the true floor on what the house can sell for when I'm down in Louisville next month. Need to talk to the estate sale guy and get him on the calendar.

Happy Friday, Louis - very smart to see what that bottom range is for the house. I remember when Ted was going through this, he was so sad and having to toss all his parents treasures hurt so much.
We traveled to Bergen today. The flights were good, flight connection went smoothly and it was easy to grab a taxi to the boat. I think we might hit an iceberg tonight. We had a delicious dinner. It is so beautiful here.

Good morning.
Early to bed last night meant early to rise for me. Rainy day on tap for today, but still 73° out, so I presume we'll have to go shopping for something later.
I know you've only said a few times when you were going to Norway, and I guess if you're in Bergen, you're there. 😂 I hope you're having a great time!
Sorting and tossing was slow at first, but after several hours of it on the first trip, I just became numb to the process and turned into a human wrecking ball.

Happy Saturday, Louis - I’m sure being numb helps a lot. I would be a puddle of tears. This is day two on the boat.
If you ever want to do something totally crazy and amazing … this is it. The boat is new, only 6 months old. The food had been amazing so far. The portions are very small, this is a eco friendly boat and they strive for 0 waste. You feel satisfied but not stuffed. I can’t wait to see what I get for dinner. We walked around the cute town of Alesund toda, took lots of pictures and went to two Irish pubs to watch Rugby. I drank an Irish Buck and a Guinness. Say that three times .we had sun and temperature to 0C.

Happy Sunday, The cruise is going well. We have had lots of sunshine so -7 isn’t as bad as it sounds. I am so excited to see more of Norway. We walked all morning in Trondheim and I spent some time in the gym. The gym is tiny and I’m so glad I downloaded some body pump and other Les Mills classes. The food is very good and the portions are small.

Good morning.
Sounds like they're trying to take the no waste thing seriously, Debbie. I'm sure if folks want more, they can ask though. Glad you're having a great time. Not sure that freezing weather is my ideal cruise vacation, but the Northern Lights would be worth it, just like Glacier National Park was.
Didn't sleep worth a darn last night, so I might pass out in front of the TV while the Super Bowl is on later.
