Good Morning, WW friends ~
We definitely enjoyed our few days of 60 dg and sunshine. Now we have returned to normal around 40.
I have been up since early and have changed our bed and put the sheets in to wash, sacked up trash, cleaned out a cupboard in the bathroom by consolidating things and making it more neat and accessible.
On my agenda today is dusting and vacuuming, and perhaps a trip to Walgreen's to restock Aspercreme for my knee. I had it injected over 2 months ago and it is still doing well, except for some stiffness now and then.
No news regarding DBIL and we have decided to wait until we hear something from them as when we call, it is all goobily-glop and most distressing (as in makes no sense at all). We just love him and pray for him. That's really all we can do.
BBL. Make a great day!

Hi Sue and friends,
Thanks for opening the cafe today. You sure accomplished a lot today. Sorry about your DBIL. As you mentioned, there’s really little you can do. I hope you hear some encouraging news soon.
We had a busy day. I must have run over something sharp because I had a flat tire with a big gash. My DH thought it was a good time to replace all my tires. I had a little more life in them but we went ahead and got the new Michelins today. I took it to the car wash afterwards so it’s all spiffed up. Earlier today DH and I went out to breakfast - usually we aren’t up and out so early so it was a treat! I had a pancake with eggs and bacon at our local spot. Maybe we’ll start a habit of it and take a page from your book, Sue. 😄
I had a few visits with neighbors today and made plans for a lunch with one. She and I met when we were walking our doggies. She has an adorable small sized Goldendoodle. We had astronomically high tides today. The water was nearly on lawns!
Pam, I sure hope you are feeling much better. We’ve had so many sick coworkers at the college and my good pal has pneumonia. She’s recovering pretty well.
We started watching Tom Selleck in the Stone Cold series on Amazon. They’re good.
Have a great night all!

Just popping in to say hello and wish all a wonderful week. Prayers for all and your family continue.
Can't believe 5 weeks have passed since my horrible fall. Feeling a little better each day. Only thing that so concerns me and always has is my diminishing eyesight. Not sure if I mentioned that I lost one line of sight on the chart. I can now only read lines 1 and 2.
Take care and please know that you all remain in my heart.
Be well....

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday! We have a beautiful sunny 40 degree day again. Can't complain as it is quite pleasant out.
Ann ~ Gee it was good to hear from you today! Glad you are recovering from your fall. It does take time, and seems to take longer as time goes by. My DBIL took a couple of falls recently and they really upset him. Hope you feel better soon.
Judy ~ I DID accomplish a lot yesterday! I dusted and vacuumed all the floors and mopped the remainder. It took me most of the day but it was such a good feeling of accomplishment when I was done. DH insisted on giving me a great back massage head to toe when he got home and I was very grateful! Bummer about your tire! That would be most upsetting to me.
Today I got showered and DH and I went out for Brunch at one of our favorite places. I had a pancake with lemon curd and blueberries which was delicious! I also had some sausage links. DH has gone to run some errands then when he comes back we will settle in to watch the Super Bowl together. That is a tradition for us.
We went through Walgreen's after brunch and stocked up on my Aspercreme for my knee. I have some roll-on but it doesn't seem to be as effective as my cream. With that I completed all the things I wanted to do this weekend.
We have decided to have a mug of Turkey 3-Bean Chili each for supper with pita crackers and hummus and guacamole. DH said he'd bring home a sweet treat for our dessert tonight. That will make a party for us!!
BBL. Make a great day!

Hi all,
Ann, it is wonderful to see you here. I am so sorry about your vision diminishing on the chart and your slow recovery from your fall. Are you able to get out and walk in this warmer weather lately? My DSIL in FL took a bad fall, too, last week. She tripped over a heavy glass coffee table and the top and everything on it came crashing down on top of her breaking her wrist and pinning her to the floor. She was really hurt. She is covered in bruises and not doing great. thankfully, my brother was home at the time or she said she would still be under the table top. It is too heavy to lift Pretty scary - these falls are awful. Hang in there. Spring is coming.
Sue, glad you have a live in massage therapist. He sounds amazing! And he knows how lucky he is which is even better. :-) Your brunch pancake with lemon curd sounded so yummy. My daughter Facetimed us today as she was making lemon curd/ricotta pancakes for the kids. THey love them. She found the recipe on her NY Times cooking app.
We are going to have a nice steak for dinner tonight with potatoes and broccoli. Our meat shipment from the organic farm near where we used to live arrived today. We don't eat a lot of red meat so it's worth it to get the good stuff sometimes. Can't wait to try it.
DH offered to get pizza and greek salad for the Superbowl day, but I declined as I am really trying to stay on track and away from too much of that stuff. I have had plenty lately.
I spent way too much time today deleting email and cleaning up my personal email box. I am always on the work email so I often don't check my Gmail account. I won't even tell you how many emails were there - mostly junk but not all so I couldn't just delete all of them without looking. It went back way too far and took me about 2 hours to delete only half of them. I will chip away at the rest but don't want to do it in haste since some need to be saved related to travel, taxes or business. lol
Have a great night all! May the best team win tonight!! I don't really have a favorite one so will enjoy the game overall. TTFN

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I’m another who has no fav team in this match, so I haven’t been paying much attention. I cooked a dinner of pepper-steak and gravy, rice and sautéed yellow squash and onions. I thought the beef a little tough, but DH said it was fine.
I had a very lazy day. I went to Mass, but was unable to sing, as my voice has not fully recovered. I spent a leisurely day reading and playing games on my iPad. Tomorrow will be busy. I see a neurologist regarding my carpal tunnel symptoms in BTR in the morning. When I get back, I will put a pork roast in the crock pot for our dinner, then get started on laundry. At 5:00 I have choir practice. We’re to go over new music so I’ll go even though I can’t sing.
Yesterday, DH and I worked on cleaning everything from the patio and under the carport in preparation for having it all torn out and replaced. The estimate came in a little less than expected, so we’re happy with that. It’s a huge space with several challenging factors, so will be expensive, but it is necessary for us to “age in place”. I do not want either of us to fall again. I also worked on clearing dead stuff out of flower beds. It has been in the 70’s the past two days, so perfect weather for outdoor chores. It was also nice to turn off the heat and open windows to the fresh air.
DD3 called to report Leah fell from the monkey bars at school and injured her arm. The xrays at urgent care were inconclusive, but point toward injury. She will see an orthopedist tomorrow.
Ann - So good to hear from you! Both my dad and my DMIL suffered from macular degeneration, so I have some idea of the challenges you are facing. You are in my prayers!
Sue - I have to pay for a full body massage! I am in awe of your DH! I have heard Blue Emu cream is very good for sore joints. I use the generic for Voltaren.
Judy - We really like Jesse Stone, so I suggested to DH that we watch them all in order. I am excited that the new season of Will Trent starts soon. I also periodically clean out my email. Even though I try to delete stuff daily, it’s amazing how much I miss.
Enjoy your evening!
