Without Valentine’s day, February would be…..well January.
Did you watch the Super Bowl, I did kind of, was not impressed with commercials. As always the Clydesdale's was the best one of all I didn't fall asleep but did read quite a bit of the time.
So first I need to apologize Diane Sunday was your birthday!! And I missed it. Hope it was a lovely day for you. Did you do something special.?
Today I have to make a trip to post office and also call my DGS#3 to remind him to stop and get the things for the little boys. He is not very organized!

I never saw the Clydesdale commercial. Was it in the second half? I went to bed after halftime so probably missed it if it was then.
Nothing going on today so will wash sheets and towels.

I've never really been into sports. I did play tennis when I was younger but I was terrible at it! It's so funny because my mother was quite the sports job and was really good at everything she tried. She belonged to a bowling league. She was amazing tennis and golf... David basketball with her entire 5 ft something inch frame.
Not one of her three children were athletic!
It's funny because my parents didn't like watching sports and definitely did not like football. That passed down to their children and my son doesn't like it either.
For those of you who do enjoy football and look forward to super bowl Sunday I hope you enjoyed the game. I don't even know who was playing let alone who won!

Hi!
Thank you, Connie! I had a busy day yesterday, and got lots of phone calls and texts. It's nice to celebrate another birthday. I really try to celebrate every one of them! I had an aunt who really mourned getting older, and I refuse t o be like her in that respect. The cake is lovely. Thank you!
Yesterday, DH brought breakfast from our favorite place, and that was my birthday treat. DD brought a blanket she had crocheted in spring colors for the bed. It's beautiful, and I appreciate the hours of work involved. Very special.
Today is a normal Monday here. Grocery delivery this morning. Regular chores. DD and her DH are traveling to OKC today to meet the realtor to list her MIL's house. I hope everything gets signed and settled, and that the house sells quickly. DH will pick DGS up after school, and we may give him dinner.
I watch the Super Bowl with DH for the commercials. They had some good ones last night. I don't care for pro sports usually.
Hugs! Diane

Happy Belated Birthday Diane. Glad you choose to celebrate each one.
I had the Super Bowl on but didn't pay a lot of attention. Was anxious to see Usher at halftime but was disappointed in his performance. Didn't see the Budweiser commercial. Think I was taking my sponge bath at the time. Missed a lot of the 3rd quarter. Really didn't care who won.
Coffee with friends this morning. Tomorrow they leave on their trip so we had a good talk today. Ozzie got a special long back rub and several hugs from Roger. Put a load of clothes in the washer after they left and I think it's almost finished now and ready for the dryer. Sunny here this morning but haven't heard the weather forecast. Felt a bit chilly when I let Ozzie out a while ago. Neighbors are coming this afternoon to take him for his walk.
Have to check out something on Amazon. Enjoy the day. bettyj

Happy birthday Diane!🎂🎂🎂🎂
got up gimpy after two very active days. But it went down hill from there. Feel like I caught something this weekend..Hope not. So after making breakfast for DH and straightening out the bookshelf mess in two places I tucked myself back into bed.

I'm not moving at normal speed. Slept good last night though. Bill came for lunch and brought me my Valentine roses early. We played rumicub and had stew for lunch. Tomorrow I will take him for his procedure.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Diane 🎉🎂🎉

Oh Gosh, Linda, hope you feel better soon. so many virus going around right now. Heard the stomach flu is making it's rounds right now.
I did go to post office but that was it for today. and no one else in there. DGS#3 stopped for the Valentine gifts and got a thank you text right away from them. Guess the card was a hit with Ezra and he is saving his money for ice cream after his soccer games this spring. That is his treat for listening to the coach. No real games just learning basics. I am going to have to ride along to one of the sessions, I think!! Or drive it myself when I find out where they are.
Talked to my old friend today, called to see how her tummy flu was doing and she had sprained her ankle as well. she is better and back to her old self!! Which is a bit "know it all"! But have known her for 68 years and am used to it. I went to school with her DH and met her after graduation. and my DH and I had tons of fun with them. I am sure something about me probably annoyed her as well but we made it work anyway. Now we are both widows and keep in touch which in really nice.
Need to get to basement to start a batch of clothes in the washer.

I didn't watch the game but read about it on the AOL news. I guess I should have been rooting for the losers - San Fransisco but I didn't really care. Jim spent the whole day in bed as I said and had two breakfasts after 6PM. He did get up for breakfast this morning and now back in bed. I guess it is a good time for me to get dressed now. I'm still in my nightgown and robe. Hopefully Jim will get up for lunch today but probably not until around 2PM since he was up a bit late for breakfast. Oh, and I had 8 hrs. and a couple mins. of sleep last night. Jim actually kept sleeping even after sleeping all day.
I just put the wash in to dry since it was such a mess this morning. I washed it but had to take stuff outside to spray with hose since too dirty to wash.
See you all later for tuck in.

Hi!
Diane, have an extra birthday on me today! LOL! It won't count on years, only happiness! The cake is beautiful, Connie! (Hope that house sells quickly. Is the guy who was caring for the MIL recovering?)
Betty, so glad to see that you are doing well!
Sandy, sending a PM.
Linda, good idea to just start over when you feel icky! Hope you are feeling perkier now. It never occurred to me that there wouldn't be a Cracker Barrel close by! You have been deprived! They have really cute clothes (especially for kids), all kinds of gifts related to any upcoming holiday, etc. I buy most of my greeting cards there; they really have special ones. Our CB also has a new menu, and will sell a take-away meat and side ($5) with any purchased entree.
Shragae, I like the most recent picture of you! You have a haircut, and look younger!
Kathie, I don't think you have EVER written that you had 8+ hours of sleep at one time! You must have felt like a new woman! Loving the new blankets and the tucks! Please give Shana a pat for me!
Lucy, hope you weren't bitten by the flu bug. Bet your roses are beautiful!
Hi, Nancy! Hugs! How is Linus getting along with his puppy?
Several people here have passed around the wicked stomach flu. Usually they upchuck for one day, then just feel awful for three or four more. Sure hope Guy and I are spared.
We had lunch at Chili's yesterday -- good burger and a little lava cake for each of us. I shopped at Staples and picked up a 2024 planner. Mostly I use my cell phone calendar, but some things just need to be written.
We kept the super bowl on (with the audio mostly off), and were excited when the Chiefs won. During half-time, we saw a sweaty guy on stage who took off his shirt. I was not impressed. Missed the Clydesdales altogether. Shucks!
After the game, a really good series, Tracker, started on CBS -- at least I have not seen it before. The one thing I miss about "cutting the cord" last year, is recording TV programs so I can watch what I want when I want. Do they even manufacture things like the now?
Guy had a doctor's appointment this morning. He picked up my prescription, and walked at Sam's club where he bought a rotisserie chicken and a four-pack of Panera's mac and cheese. Tasted really good as a special lunch. I had made brownies on Saturday, so we had a bite of dessert too.
See you! ~~Molly

No, Molly, so far no flu bug. Just extra tired for no reason. A G E. Heading to bed early. Bill will call and wake me before he heads my way. He has to be at the hospital at 7.
So good night 😴💤💤 all.

Diane: I missed saying Happy belated Birthday to you. Hope you had a special day on the real day. How nice of your DD to make a nice Spring blanket for you.
Molly: I don't think I have had 8 hrs. of sleep in one day since Jim has dementia. But, he slept most of the day today. I just made him dinner and gave it to him in bed. He ate and had the lights turned off again so back to sleep he goes. I even had a nap today in my recliner and almost missed my friend who I give apples to her horse. Shana was naughty today and had pooped in the dining room so I made her smell it and told her this goes OUTSIDE and put it out and her too and locked her out in the front fenced in yard. When I woke from my nap I realized it was time to meet my horse friend and went out with Shana. We were about 1/2 hr. late.....not too bad.
Tucking you all in now in our new blanket: A soft white blanket this time with large red hearts on it but each one has one of our names on it.....and if Jenny doesn't send a name it will just have Jenny on her heart. Sweet dreams to you all!
