Hi friends,
It's a nice day here today as we prepare for a big snowstorm tomorrow. Here on the Cape we won't get too much - 3-6 inches I heard, but inland a bit will be 6-12 inches. Not sure I will even commute in on Wednesday. The roads should be pretty well cleared by then. After all, I tell myself, it IS February which is traditionally our snowiest month.
Pam, glad you are doing better and that your sore throat is improving. You do have good energy to keep up with choir practice and clearing the patio, etc. I hope your appointments went well today and that your crock pot dinner is good. I can't remember if I commented yesterday, but our NY sirloin from the organic farm was absolutely delicious. DH commented on the tenderness and flavor. Big difference to us both so we will continue ordering from them. I have enough left over to make a nice stirfry tonight. DH went to the market and picked up all the veggies to do fill in for it.
We had oatmeal for breakfast. DH adds blueberries to his and I add a bit of maple syrup. Lunch was a ham and cheese on Dave's bread with a small bag of chips. I wish I could give up the chips, but it's one habit I am loathe to quit. So, the little bags do help with portion control.
I walked a few miles with Daisy yesterday but haven't been out yet today.
We watched the Superbowl. Mahomes is hard to beat and you have to respect that for sure. It was a good game and so close.
I had my TOPS meeting today. Good topic on the list of the 20 most healthy foods. Most are veggies or fruits - no surprises there.
Pam, our DGD in CA also fell off the monkey bars at school a few months ago and wound up in Urgent Care with a bad sprain but no breaks thankfully. How is your DGD doing? Sorry to hear that.
Sue, hope you are having a good day at school.
Waving to Ann if you happen to see this. Hope you are well.
