Thanks for the start, Chele. Are Linda and I the only ones who remember hearing the Kennedy ad realtime (even though both of us were far too young to vote in that election)? What's on the Valentine's Day menu at your house? Is the sun still shining for your today? It is for us, but it's chilly.
Kathy, we will often watch part of a game and then just check the score in the morning. Sometimes, like with Michigan in the national championship game, we DVR the 2nd half and watch it as soon as we get up the next morning (so we wouldn't accidentally watch or read something that gave away the result). So I guess we're kind of used to that. Did you know that the Lab in the Budweiser commercial belongs to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell? Goldie apparently told him that he was seen by more people at one time than anyone else in the family. Will you be able to see the Space X launch on Thursday morning?
Nice early Valentine's Day table, Linda. What was on the menu? Was it the fried rice from the NYT article? Minni was definitely enjoying her new Kong. I hope you feel better today. With spring training starting tomorrow, I guess things will be getting a little busy there with so many teams having practice facilities in and around your area.
Heard from Liz. They got 8 to 10 inches of snow there and it's still a mess. Good thing she's working from home for the week.
Dale went for a trail run and I ran on the 'mill before he left. I decided to make red lentil chili for dinner, so I need to put that in the IP this afternoon. I baked a couple of butternut squashes for Arya's dinners and she loved it so much that while I was scraping out the insides she was sitting behind me on the kitchen floor eating bites of it out of my hand. She loves that as much as she loves sweet potatoes and she gets one or the other for every dinner. We have already been for a walk in the sunshine and will probably do another one in a while. She has a birthday coming up tomorrow. Hard to believe she's turning SEVEN!
Happy Valentine's Day to all.

💝♥💖 Happy Valentine's Day!! 💝♥💖 Karen, I get ready for bed if it's a late game, but I don't think I could sleep knowing the game was still going on. I just watched a SpaceX launch a few minutes ago. It went into some clouds after a few seconds, but left a big trail. It's hard to keep track of all of them anymore, but I see another launch on the schedule for late tonight/early tomorrow. I saw that about Goldie's dog. Too funny. Very glad to hear Liz is working from home this week with all that snow. It's in the 60s here and feels chilly to me.
Hope everyone had a good day.

I wonder if Minni would like sweet potato?I know squash is out. your pup is already seven? Wow.
We always have some kind of flower on kitchen table, if only a great vase of little artificial tulips from Petals.com.most of , yard flowers are not the cutting kind except roses which go fast in our weather.
one of my things is nice dishes..buy only two, maybe three so I can change up the table with different looks. Also get pretty German paper napkins when I can. I do not think DH even notices, but I like it.
last night we had kaisarschmarren..a sort of souffle pancake with rum soaked raisins that is cut up and flipped around in a pan. It had hot rum apricot jam drizzled on top.yeah, his favorite dessert as dinner (very filling) and wants it again tonight (leftovers) but it really sent up his glucose last night, so smaller serving without jam.
Then I have to get him back on track..it has been candy, dessert in small amounts daily since before Thanksgiving because of holidays, then so much bought that it goes on. I think it creeps up on sugar responses although he had two weeks of sudden drops at night. I need to lose weight off the knees too. I have lost two and a half, and my pants are sliding down , but still.
trying to think of that ad. I remember the tv debates when Nixon just looked awful.
have not heard from dsil by Albany, but I think they were predicted for 4 inches. Friend in Palisades area of NJ got about six with ice coating. Not surprised Liz had lot as it went along the coast.
Back in upstate NY…Gloversville…snow banks were five to six feet and our poor little schnauzers must have thought the world disappeared into a white tunnel.
I almost feel guilty saying what a nice sunny day it is here. However, you all know what summer was like here from Memorial Day to almost Halloween. I paid for nice winter. Weeds are loving it with lots of rain. So I sat on my wicker footstool and dig things out of the lawn and then plucked new grass coming up in the. Little chunks of landscape granite. Finally brushed away the top rock and dug in to pull up the next two to three inches of rock that has been buried over the years. I am use it to cover places that need it. People just put more rock and rock down until you have almost concrete and bare spots. I have a wastebasket full with original dry top rock back! My back is going to tell me about this later from bending on the stool but not like standing and bending.
So yes, baseball is coming! Tempe has LA Angels, nearby Mesa has the Cubs ,and there are 8 more! It is a mini industry here. A lot of people travel to it and sit in the sun on lawns watching with picnics.
We went to a nearby very colorful Mexican restaurant for big lunch for Valentines Day before the supper holiday people filled up all the places to eat!
