The only meals my husband and I share are some dinners. With those I just portion control my serving to stay on plan. Lunches, breakfast, and most snacks we do our own thing.

My husband and I have different schedules so sometimes he eats what I do but does so later while other times he chooses to make something completely different.

I shop for and buy most of the food so it is more that they have to mesh with what I'm buying/making. However SO in the past has bought his own snacks and junk food. I hope that is going to change when he returns. We also tend to eat only one meal together but they eat the salads and soups I make for the other main meal. Everyone is on their own for breakfast.

Mr. Lani makes his own breakfast five days a week and his lunch daily. He happily eats anything I cook for dinner. He also eats out a lot more than I do (usually lunch).

We are just recently retired and are figuring out what works best. Breakfast and lunch are usually solo, dinner together and we’re trying a system where we take turns meal prepping so we don’t have to cook every night.
