How do you get the itch back to follow the program?

As I have said I am struggling now. I have stopped tracking and have thoughts about not weighing and measuring. Keeping an eye on the scale and on the fit of my clothes hoping I will recognize when I have to get back on doing those things. I haven't been talking to myself yet, just going along so I think I need to start talking to myself to get myself reenergized. A book review is coming up at the end of the month and I know I need it.

Usually when the scale moves up the itch quickly returns...

I have to have the frequent book reviews to keep on track. That is one of the reasons I joined this group. I love the fact that you do them regularly.
Definitely, the scale and clothing fit makes a difference. I think I'm going to set an intention to REALLY read the cards today and edit them if they are not resonating.

With weight, the itch is a realistic goal weight and also how I feel in my body and clothes. With exercise, the simple rule is never to let my mood dictate what I do. I have to take action first, because movement changes my mood. There are so many instances where I think I donβt feel like exercising, but I talk myself into going and feel better afterwards.

lizlor, so true about exercise and mood. I also subscribe to James Clear's (author of Atomic Habits) philosophy of just getting started. If I don't feel like a full workout, I tell myself I'll workout for 10 mins. By the end of the 10 mins I'm usually ready to complete the full workout.
