Thanks for the start…. You know the day you clean that drawer and throw stuff out, that will be when you finally need it.

Karen, thanks for the start. How young are those skinny little vegan chefs? Hope the knee is still feeling good.
Linda, put that meal of pork schnitzel with veggies and fruit in your rotation since Bob liked it and the glucose level was good. How,s the knee today? The new fashion doesn’t look as ridiculous as a lot I’ve seen in the past.
Kathy, since I am such a procrastinator I don’t trust myself to get the taxes done on time. Doing two of them would do me in.
It!s only 36° right now and we nave a winter weather advisory with a chance of accumulating snow, 1-3 inches. My sinuses and head are very unhappy. Going to the tax office was excruciating. They had some sort of deodorizer whose smell was making my sinuses and head hurt more. TG, the taxes didn’t hurt. Since we are now seniors we also got a discount on the tax prep fee. Hurray!

Chele, I'm with you on the unhappy sinuses. They're having a controlled burn just to the east of here and the wind was blowing it this way last night. It smelled like a forest fire in here and eyes and sinuses are not happy. I hate those deodorizers too! Hope the sinuses are better by now. I noticed I got a retiree/senior discount on my homeowner's policy. I guess that's at least one benefit to getting older.
I'm not thrilled with doing DM's taxes, but they are pretty simple. The tax software imports the data from last year and I just have to update the amounts received. The software does all the figuring and fills out the actual tax forms. It usually takes an hour or less and that's because I go slowly. I leave it for a day or two and then check over it one more time before filing. She also goes over it before I file it too.
Karen, I still like to watch the launches. You never know when one will be unusually pretty due to the weather or time of day. The night launches are usually the prettiest. I don't pay as much attention to the smaller rockets, but the ones going to the moon and especially the manned launches are definitely worth watching. I'm glad Arya liked the llama. That is progress!
Linda, the fashions they show on the runway always seem so bizarre and out of touch with what normal people actually wear. Sometimes I wonder who wears the stuff I see in the stores too!

Linda, I'm glad I've never been a slave to fashion. I don't think I ever go to the places that people would go to wear those kinds of outfits. Did you clean out the junk drawer or was today not that day?
Believe it or not, Chele, the chili recipe is from a 60 year old vegan chef who used to have a significant weight issue. It has lentils in it and I can't eat lentils two days in a row without issues, so it's going to take me a long time to eat even half a recipe. Brrrr on your temperatures. Did you get snow? We made it to the mid 50s, but we'll be lucky to hit 40 for our high tomorrow. Then it will be a roller coaster into the 50s, 60s, and then back down again. Fortunately, my sinuses aren't reacting, at least not yet. Yay on the taxes not being painful.
Kathy, sorry to hear you are also dealing with sinus issues, too, and I hate you have a controlled burn near enough to be causing the issue. I don't think we have ever gotten a senior discount on insurance. Congrats! I can see how the larger crafts would be more enticing to view a launch.
I spent 2 1/2 hours at the eye doctor this morning for my yearly exam. They were really running behind today for some reason. No vision problems, but I have developed clogged tear ducts and have been referred to an oculoplastic surgeon who can hopefully correct the blockage without surgery. Dale provided chauffeur service, which was probably a good thing after being dilated. I'm just now getting to the point where I can read but it's still a bit fuzzy. So sorry for any typos there might be.

Allergies are not good here really early, to the point ear dr prescribed a second spray to open inner ear..not doing it completely yet , but at least I can pop it most of the way, today so clogged I did not realize one hearing aid fell out.
Chele , hope they have a good solution. NOld dr said I am supposed to be using Restasis twice a day….drops to keep that clog from happening. I have been bad. New eye dr said use them if you eye bothers you. Hmm. What I have been doing is using OTC eye drops ..Sustane daily, shoukd twice or more when things get dry. Restasis is irritating for a while and $450 a month ..$35 with insurance .bingo, donut hole. Except the daily containers with twist off tops can closed again. Extra stuff because people miss the target. If you are good at it, two-3 days on one.
I have a find it dog! Put my hearing aids in early to talk to yard guys cutting done the dead lantana today and shortening the Mexican bird of paradise and dead off the bouganvillea. Half the yard is gray stubs.sigh. Lantana grows back pretty well. then I worked on weeds and digging up rock walked into the soil …put the rocks in bare spots up front. Iwas all over the yard and house
suppertime I realized my left hearing aid was gone…those batteries will kill a small child or pet if swallowed. Eek.could be anywhere
45 minutes with high power flash light looking every where I had been including dog walk. Had to find it. Finally went out back again thinking I had chased her after My garden gloves back and then a shrub piece. She went straight to where she had been sniffing the shrub bits and sticks , and I saw it and grabbed it before she did! She could easily smell something from my ear!guess I should have told her FIND the first time!
