Thursday’s intentions Return to mindful hydration and eating. Accompany R to an appt. w/ the ortho hand dr. I noticed a protrusion at the base of his right thumb. Looks similar to a bunion. Who knows what is going on. And no, R being R has no idea when this happened. It does not hurt though. Maybe that is a positive? We missed our NYC company before that even left the driveway. But it was a great visit that went so quickly. Avery said that she would be back as soon as she could. 💕💕💕 Was great to have Avery with us. She got a lot of love & attention. Ditto for Rubi (their Boston). That gave Noel & Amy had special solo time with Sydney. They both thanked us for the opportunity. Of course, that made our hearts warm. We were happy to get more t8me with Sydney, who is a really happy baby. Goodness— no exaggeration— she repeats a lot of the words she hears. Feeling very blessed.

The sun is shining and I slept well last night. My hair is tidied up and definitely shorter. This afternoon I will get together with friends and we will catch up. Rosalie and I will discuss Saturday and how we plan to get to Beirut and when we will leave. I am still contemplating what to wear to the Pretty in Pink Party. Scale was 162.6 this morning.
Yes I can: track every BLT, stay positive, walk 30 minutes while reading, write another book review, and tidy the kitchen. It will be a good day.
JUNE: How marvelous to have had quality time with family visiting from NY. Could the bump on R's thumb be a ganglion? I have some on feet/ankles and the top of my hand and also a couple small bumps I think might be the same on either side of the end joint of my right thumb...always thought the inner one was a callous from playing clarinet but it would have gone by now if it was that and there is another one on the other side now, too.
SUSI: Sounds busy. I hope Lily has a clean bill of health after her vet visit, the chiropractor works magic, the sling thing is easy to manage post-op, and that you can achieve what needs to be done at work before you have surgery. Will you be on call post-op or who will cover things while you are gone?
MJ: Sounds busy in your life. Which of the volunteer "jobs" that you do is your favorite?
BEE: Hugs...it is never easy when a loved one is fading. I hope you enjoyed the sights you saw. Country roads are sometimes a great escape.
Here's hoping all of us have lovely moments this Thursday.

Having Almonds and apple sauce for breakfast/healthy choice meal for lunch and I did get veggies in last night (stir fried cabbage and onions) - Been a quiet few days. Hope to see Renee today after work. My elbow is still hurting me so bad and keeping me up at night. Think I'm going to have to see about that cortisone shot.
June, I know the visit from your NYC family warmed your heart. It certainly has warmed mine hearing the fun and loving activities you shared with them. Yes, those 8 month olds are so full of smiles, giggles and fun talks - We can make out DADA from Renee - not sure what some of the other stuff is she says but she is talking up a storm! Would love to know what she is saying. HOpe all is well with Rs hand.
Cathy, the PIP party sounds fun! You and Rosalie be safe. Sounds like you are doing a great job keeping that scale in check.
Bee, so happy to hear the update that your sister has changed her mind and going to do some things that will help her situation.
MJ, OMgoodness on the 52 man passing at his desk..so sad for the son. I wonder if they will do an autopsy?
Susi ,your surgery is so close now. Hope all falls into place just as you need it to so you can feel good about taking it easy and focus on healing.
Ann, if you ck in I hope you Carl and B are well and high stepping it on your walks

June - Such a lovely visit. I bet they can't wait to get back! Cathy - Enjoy your time with your friends Hi MJ LaDonna - Please get your elbow checked out Bee - Prayers continue Ann - Prayers for you and yours as well
Lily's appointment went well. We will continue to monitor every 6 months. Chiro went well. Tom will be doing payroll while I am out so that's covered. I'm doing all I can for the other 2 companies today and Monday. And will do all I can for Jenks on Tuesday. Allan is on vacation next week so nothing will be covered for income until he comes back. I'm not even sure he knows how to do it, since he never has. Oh, Tom has accepted the position for when I retire. Serious training will start in August.
S - Usual coffee B - Hummus in a pita with organic lettuce mix L - Tuna salad on tomato rounds D - Chicken sausage/peppers/onions/Velveeta on a 3 pt. Italian roll E - Walking and stretching

Checking back in
Cathy Super result on the scale! KOKO. Nice to have your hair styled. Bet it flatters your pretty face and trim figure. What color did you choose for your PIP outfit? Hope you accomplish that review.
Richard report: A ganglion cyst was one of my first thoughts. But I also suspected fluid built up around the base of his thumb joint. He had been working pretty hard on the mantel/surround. He sanded before painting on each coat of primer. Sanded after the first coat of paint. Sanded any excess paint of edges. Pulled paper & tape from tight spaces with tweezers. So he really put hi s hands through a lot. X-ray showed only arthritis— rather than something requiring surgery. So yayyyyyyy!
Bee Hope you feel rested after a day or two back at home. Thankful that there is something the medical team could do about your DS’s port and that she has decided to accept additional treatment.
LaDonna Mmmm. . . Applesauce would taste great with almonds. Goodness. . . We so enjoyed our visit. We had a lot of fun, and I am feel with gratitude for the time we spent together. So precious!
MJ Did you catch Dolly’s pooch “gala”? I thought that the show probably made a lot of viewers smile. How does Kressling feel about his ceremony? It feels a bit bittersweet to me. . .but then I am older (and in my mind an adoptive auntie).
Susi Feels like you have done and are doing a lot to leave everything in an optimal state before your surgery. Good thing that Tom has been training under you. The 28th will be here before we know it. Very pleased to hear that Lily had a good report. She’s doing well in your care.
