This challenge was created fifteen years ago by a few Weight Watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, think about the positive actions that you made the day before and identify the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each week, please copy, paste and get us started. If you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas for following the plan.

Good morning. The sun is shining, I will get together with friends this afternoon, and I have a luncheon on Saturday to look forward to. It will be a good day!
Yes I did: walk 30 minutes while reading, track every BLT, stay OP, and see a drop on the scale this morning Yes I can: repeat yesterday's positive choices, clean the kitchen, and spend time with friends this afternoon
BOOKS: I started reading a book by Tim Sullivan called The Teacher. It is a murder mystery set in England that stars a detective on the spectrum who is very linear in his thinking and reminds me of times of Amelia Bedelia. I hope to finish it today and will write the review then see what is up next.
Here's to another week of achieving our goals and enjoying the last few days of February.

Happy Thursday Evening.
Short "Howdy". I feel like I did better the past 2 days. Perhaps because the rain stopped, and my knee is feeling better. Those damp days are really tough on the arthritis.
Yes, I did.... --plan better for meals. Ate lighter. Soup for dinner. --went shopping and bought myself some new orange scented shower gel. --tracked.
Slept much better last night and going to bed early tonight. I am seeing how being tired blows all my best intentions out of the water. Really looking forward to be able to walk for fitness again! Have my second preliminary Drs. appt in regard to knee surgery on Monday. It looks like a gorgeous weekend here. Loving the green everywhere, fresh clean air and sunshine.
Thanks for being here Cathy and friends!
Jan

The sun was shining this morning but has gone into hiding this afternoon. There should be enough hot water from this morning's sunshine to shower tomorrow morning before getting ready to go to Beirut for lunch. The internet continues to be hit or miss so am glad that I have plenty downloaded to read.
Yes I did stay OP yesterday and track it all Yes I can stay positive and limit dinner after having pizza and fries for lunch today
BOOKS: Stayed up till after midnight trying to post the review for THE TEACHER by Tim Sullivan and finally went to bed and managed to eventually post it this morning. I have chosen to read Beyond all Doubt by Hilton Reed next and will see what I think of this new-to-me author.
JAN: When do you plan to have knee surgery? Will you do both or just one knee? Being tired is NOT fun...hope you sleep well and wake refreshed in the morning and have some relaxing and fun things to look forward to this weekend.

Happy Friday positive peeps! Jan, I hear you on the rainy weather and the arthritis. Right now my left big toe is doing the aching. It will do that off and on, and I'm just trying to figure out why. Never broke that one. Not a gouty thing that I can see. Maybe related to certain shoe I have walked in or whatever. Yes, what Cathy asked, just one or both knees? replacements? I will have to consider that at some point.
Cathy, 1971 Sylmar earthquake? I remember that being the one that was bigger. I was 10. I think I went and jumped in my sister's bed who shared a room with me LOL. I know it did some damage, freeway overpasses collapsing, but nothing close to us. Just a lot of rockin' and rollin'. Thankfully I have never been in one that has damaged anything. I was not in Big Bear when the 1992 Landers one hit that did damage up here. I have friends here who were pretty traumatized by that one. A few stayed in motor homes in a parking lot for some time, afraid to go back in the house!
Carol, awwww sweet a new baby for your instructor! I'm with you on taxes or any paperwork...I'm such the procrastinator.
Waves Janet and Sally! Sally is seeing some awesome sights!
I'm still inching toward the 10 lb mark. I was at dad's from Tues until Thurs. I took him to his banks for adding beneficiaries on his two accounts, and we took care of his taxes. It's the first year in his 90 years that he has not done taxes himself (handwritten). Found a fantastic person referred by our friend. Mom would have loved her cute antique/country office. Dad was so happy with how fast it all was and the $$ that he gets back. He was beaming the next day still. Love getting things checked off his list. We still have a few more things to do have his affairs all in order. Getting there.
Yes I CAN: -Stay focused on my goal, track, walk/steps, and IF at 6:30 pm -Take my steps outside tomorrow. -Pick up my weights. -Pick up my book and get back to reading
See you hopefully tomorrow!! Nat

The party was fun. Everyone but one or two were wearing at least some pink and there were a few that were in shocking pink from head to toe! The food was delicious, beverages unlimited, raffle prizes won, pictures taken, and some dancing done. On the way home we stopped to shop at a makeup store and I picked up some eyebrow pencils to try to enhance my sparse very fair eyebrows.
Yes I can do better today than I did yesterday with calorie intake! YIKES to Yesterday and points/calories ingested!
BOOKS: I am starting a book by Parker Adams - new author to me. It is about a safe cracker who works legitimately and may get into trouble. We will see.
NAT: It may have been the Sylmar earthquake that I am remembering. I was in Redlands and my mother, father, brother, and sister were in Eagle Rock...between Pasadena and Glendale. The mirror on my brother's wall flew off the wall and landed near his bed. He crawled under his covers expecting the water/tsunami to swamp the house (there was a song and predictions California would fall into the ocean) and my sister scrambled into my parents room for safety. They were fourteen and fifteen then, I think. The chimney on the house crumbled and had to be fixed, I think.

February 26
Good morning. The sun is shining for real this morning and friends are checking in to say they are sitting outside in the sunshine. I have NOT gone out in the sun except to feed Bella her breakfast and want to finish what I can online before the internet disappears again.
Yes I did overindulge, see the scale rise, and recommit to staying OP and getting back down to goal weight. Yes I can: limit my intake, eat balanced healthy meals, track what I eat, walk 30 minutes while reading, do a few DuoLingo lessons in French, and read the next book in the queue.
BOOKS: I finished The Lock Box by Parker Adams. I think it was his debut novel and well done. There were a few things I would have added or that could have been left out but it was action-packed, interesting, and provided a good story. I would read his work again. The book is about an ex-military veteran who is raising a five year old boy, works as a legitimate safe cracker in Southern California opening safes for people who have forgotten or lost the combination for their safe, want something taken out when they are unable to reach the safe, etc. She is coerced into doing a heist on the yacht of a Russian oligarch and the person using muscle to get her to do the work is an evil Chinese man with a personal agenda. Many end up dead but the heroine lives to return to save her boy and perhaps this is a one and done book or the beginning of a series? Will wait and see. Next up is The Deceiving Look by Victor Methos...hope to finish and review it today.
Hope you all had a great weekend and have something to look forward to as this month winds down.

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
No time for shout outs but I wanted to make time to check in. Many cheat meals, have not wanted accountability, but I am checking in this morning. Committing to no more cheat meals until mid-March when I have company. I have had plenty of AP - especially yesterday. Yard work season is upon us in Texas and it was summer all weekend!
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Monday morning! Marking my spot, back after some chores. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've rediscovered that February is an especially food-filled month for me. I have 3 friends with February birthday meals, the annual Spring flower display at the George Eastman Museum followed by lunch, a pre-Valentines Day brunch, Valentines Day candy, and the anniversary of my first date with my Sweetie (and steak dinner). Food, food, food! Anyway, I decided to bite the bullet and weigh in over the weekend: still "free" at WW but there's no more cushion. And I still haven't kicked the sugar habit. I have only two weeks until the lab work for my annual physical. I also worry that I have lost some muscle mass instead of fat. I don't like the way my clothes look on me right now. I really, really want to work on strength training and cutting back on "added sugar". I am determined.
We have had a few days of mostly good, unseasonably warm weather for this area. Yay! I love seeing sunshine and walking in the fresh air!
Yes I DID: --love having a late afternoon walk outside --enjoy my steak dinner, chose healthy sides and drank only water --work on winding down before bedtime. Tried a meditation (but will look for one with less talking)
Yes I CAN: --repeat mantra "I am enough, I have enough, I do enough" --make no more candy purchases until .... at least after my physical --work on getting more sleep
Be well! Carol

Happy Wednesday, positive peeps 🐥🐥
Jan - hope you are feeling better. Hear you on the aching joints.
Nat - yay for approaching that 10 lb milestone. Also, thanks for a reminder that when faced with daunting tasks, focus on how good it will feel to have them checked off the list.
Cathy - your party & shopping sounded like fun.
Waving to busy Janet and the traveling Sally!
I’m still focusing on strength training, despite a minor case of "Golfer’s Elbow," tendinitis, so I need to be very careful with alignment while playing cello and I need to stick to lighter weight (or no weight) during exercise.
Yes I DID: --have a good substitute teacher at cello choir -- our guy was helping out with DW & new baby daughter who arrived over the weekend --enjoy long walk around the pond and discovered geese and redwing blackbirds seem to be migrating back early --good grocery run and did not buy candy!
Yes I CAN: --work on taxes. Have done some organizing but not yet begun the forms. --get out for a little fresh air (it is still warm but very windy and cold air is on the way) --get serious about getting more sleep.
Be well! Carol
