Not much sleep last night. I conked out early, but had to take doggie out around 11. She was full of pep and chewed her chew toy for 45 minutes loudly. Then I woke up at 1;30to a strange loud noise but could find nothing. Dog wanted to play ( what the heck?) and then bothered DH and me until I gave her a chicken. Jerky. She was hungry but needed a starter. She is a midnight supper sort. After that she ate the supper kibble and went to sleep. Strangest schnauzer we every had ..#7. Could not sleep because my arthritis and the tendon than runs down the outside of the thought to below the knee kept me up until around five when I took Tylenol and heated up a tube of rice in the microwave to lay along my leg. Thankfully it worked and was ok later in the morning. Minni had her grooming and is tired. I made a new casserole of beans, tomatoes, tortilla, onion, garlic, spices and sliced eggplant for later. It's a recipe for eight, but you do two dishes and freeze one. It was originally in Diabetic management magazine. www.eatingwell.com/recipe/270564/eggplant-tortilla-casserole/

Thanks for the start, Chele. Did I see that you might be expecting snow tomorrow? I guess the days of Iggy working outside in spring like weather are over for a little while. I hope the weather changes aren't causing your sinuses to be angry. I saw something today that Beyond Burger has changed their recipe, opting for avocado oil instead of coconut oil (so major decrease in saturated fat) and lowering the sodium. When they become available here, I plan to try one to see if I like it any better than the previous version. I'll let you know when I do.
Linda, sorry about the sleepless night. Sometimes it's really difficult to get them back to sleep so you can get back to sleep. I've had several collies and multiple basset hounds and they all have their little eccentricities. Phoebe and Arya are pretty much mirror opposites. Did you ever figure out what the strange noise was? I hope your leg pan has dissipated. I have that problem sometimes as well and the tendon actually runs all the way under your foot to the insole. I have PT exercises that I do daily and that seems to keep that pain at bay. How did the casserole turn out? Except for the cheese, it's vegan, and I could easily sub that. I hope I get a good crop of eggplant this summer and that would be great to make then.
Are you still dealing with fires, Kathy? Hopefully your aunt will be able to visit in a couple of months. Have you heard how she's doing?
Eye surgeon appointment went well. He thinks the problem is more my chronic dry eye than my tear ducts. He does want me to make an appointment with the head specialist, which probably won't be until July, and if things clear up before then, cancel the appointment. In the meantime he put me on a gel drop, which is really thick and temporarily blurs my vision, and I'm back on moist heat twice a day (which the optometrist discontinued). I cleaned up my seed starting area this afternoon and plan to get some seeds started tomorrow. I decided to try starting in coconut coir pellets this time and also have a new heat mat I'll be trying out. I still have the outdoor work to do, but have a couple of months before I'll be ready to plant outside. The rule of thumb here is don't plant anything until after Mother's Day. We have wind again, so we have a freaky pup, and that may continue through sometime tomorrow, with a little rain, then a couple decent days before we get more rain with up and down temps. Nothing below freezing and no snow, so we can deal with it.

Karen, I have been doing the exercise from PT where you loop something around your foot and raise straight leg to comfortable stretch for 30 sec and Down 3x. Also the bottoms of feet together knees apart stretch. What do you do?
Arya never gets used to wind. Maybe one day. 79 here today and same for the weekend.cool mornings still. After a week back down to normal 71.
Bob has been using the new, thicker Systane. I use the regular stuff. I need to do that more with this new nasal antihistamine. It has not opted ears allthe way, but it did stop those horrible coughing fits from the drip. new BPmed with the old one seems to do the job.
why does everything say see how it is before driving. You may be dizzy or sleepy ,and you might feel fatigue. Exactly what I do not need!
