This week I take credit for having the right foods in the house and keeping the trigger foods out of the house while weighing and measuring some of the time, plus staying active with my online support groups. I am grateful that my husband and I are still healthy.

Credit for tracking when I was able to, credit for eating per hunger/satiation. Credit for exercising as much as I was able to.

Yes, I use my maintenance points, my weekly points, and rollover points if I need them. Some days I don't need them.

I don't think I've ever changed to a maintenance plan for food intake. I'm perpetually in losing mode, even when I was maintaining within a small range, well below my WW Lifetime goal, years ago.
For losing, when I count calories, my calorie goal is 1200, but I can still lose very very slowly if I keep my intake between 1200-1400, with keeping most days to the lower number.
When I've counted on a WW plan, I've done it on Healthi Carb Conscious/WW Points Plus. I also keep that to losing mode. On that plan I can use most of my weekly points and still lose very slowly. That plan doesn't have rollover points.
I've never counted activity points on any plan - except maybe many years ago on Points Plus. Even so, I've never eaten activity points. I just know that when I exercise a lot - both aerobic and strength training - then I can just eat a little more and still lose weight.

This week my goals are to track; I don't have to track perfectly. Tracking some of the time will be okay to get me started again. Another goal is to weigh and measure, make the right decisions at the grocery store, and keep up with my online support groups. My me-time will be being on the computer and reading.

My plan is to eat healthfully and per hunger and satiation levels. I'll track, and I'll exercise as much as I'm able to. bbbearsmom, great plan to just track, whatever and however you can, as a way to get started.

Do you still track and weigh and measure your food? Have you learned how much you can eat and can now go on autopilot a little?

Right now, I'm working on coming out of a period of not tracking and not always weighing and measuring. I don't think it is a good idea to not track and to not weigh and measure for me because I have a problem of always wanting to eat a little bit more. Even when I track and weigh and measure, I have a problem of overeating. For very short periods of time, usually one meal or one social event I'll wing it some and count on my everyday eating to even me out.

For most of the time from when I first rejoined WW this time in Sept 2009, I've been weighing, measuring, and tracking. A few times within the past several years, I've gone through periods of not doing all this. I can maintain without tracking for short periods of time - a few weeks, maybe a month, but then I start to gain weight.
I'm still not sure if I've learned how much I can eat. Sometimes I think that I do. At those times I think that it's just the act of tracking that keeps me more conscious of it. I'd love to be able to manage my weight without tracking. It's a long term goal that I have. So far I haven't been able to do it.

What are some new food discoveries you have found recently?

This isn't that new, but I've started to use black pepper on my soups. As long as I don't grind too much it is a new addition to the taste of the soup.

No new foods, but I'm focusing more on eating very little saturated fat - I reduced the amount even more than I had been for the past year, and eating even more vegetables and fiber. I guess it's more of a new style of eating rather than new foods. More whole foods plant based.
