Afternoon all from the work desk, KOKO for me. I've got salad kits for lunch this week and I am really enjoying those. Just dump, mix and voila! I usually add a tuna packet. Its enough two meals. Got other healthy options at home so I'm hoping salmon one night this week. Perhaps tonight.
June, thanks I thought it was a really cute pic of her too Menu planning for a few upcoming days sounds doable and helpful!
Bee, so glad that Beeville is a good place to be.
Susi, I can only imaging everything you are trying to take care of so you can concentrate only one your healing once surgery is done. Praying all goes smoothly and your pain will be minimal.
Waving to Cathy and MJ.

I check in at 10:45 a.m. so I'm not sure what time it will actually start but it generally takes between 1.5 to 3 hours. Thanks for all the well wishes. I will update when I can.

Yesterday was like a roller coaster (and in some places, like a very rickety old roller coaster, with cracks in the supports).
Funny thing: We took MissMilla's Palanca down to Stuart, as per the delivery instructions in their email. We walked into the main entrance and there was no one at the reception desk so we hovered. We noted some Upper School girls walking around (they don't wear uniforms at that level). Suddenly there is a shriek from way down the hall, "THAT's MY GRANDPARENTS! What are they doing here?!?" Yes, indeed. MissMilla.
I was not holding the huge, neutral, doesn't-look-like-a-simple-letter envelope; I had already placed it, face down, on the reception counter. So by the time she and her friend Riley (whom we met 10 years ago at Woodloch) got to us, I had a plan: "We MISSED you yesterday - we hope you had a good time at your party - we decided to do something totally crazy and come down and see if we could see you!" And since we are most definitely the crazyNutz grandparents, she bought it. Hugs all around. No, you can't skip the class you hate. More hugs. See you soon. The receptionist commented on how well I could dance around the situation - of course, we missed her on Sunday - of course, the thought had crossed our minds that it would be funny to see her at school (in the course of our secret mission) - of course, she can't skip class - π₯° HUGS π. <oy>.
We took the "scenic route" back home and enjoyed party food L/O for lunch, after which Toots & Pippin napped and I worked on the Monday list. I got some pressing phone calls done. I sent out a couple of emails. In the Murphy's Law world in which I seem to be living lately, "now there's more to do" on some of them; I'll put that on the next list(s).
We picked up the Zigster and fed him first supper, and Son#1 took him home around 6 PM. MissMouse wandered in at 7:45 PM; she went to the library and it was a short hop to come see how we were all doing after the weekend. When she left, I scanned our tax docs and uploaded them this morning to our accountant. At that point, I had a mild DivaSnit and pulled out my crocheting and watched TV.
There's rain coming in today / tomorrow so I really enjoyed the last view of the really full Snow Moon. Night prayer was done in a moonbeam.
Coffee... β... need more... I've been up since before 5 AM...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
MB & T: Continue to be ridiculous. I don't know what they've been doing over the last few weeks but of the 33+ emails in the marketing campaign only TWO are done and the campaign starts Monday 3/4. As for the new "plan" for getting all the rest done... we will be working on launch stages 2 & 3 while stage 1 is "live". Oh - and the product's not complete either. <meh>. I'm buying stock in popcorn.
