Kathy, apparently, I was premature about not much damage. The area near the base was hit with an EF1 tornado. Some homes damaged and a shopping center we go to frequently was also damaged. I haven’t heard yet about the two restaurants near there that we go to. It does seem like Desantis has been governor there forever. I’ve heard more about him than our own governor.
Karen, I’m glad you have your regular instructor back. I’m glad you survived your bad weather. Since you mentioned Arya and shower, I wondered how she felt about baths. Teddy hated them. I washed him in the kitchen sink when I needed to and he always tried to crawl up on my shoulder to get away from the water. Good luck with the bone scan and have fun at TJ’s.
Linda, that’s good news on Bob’s blood test. I’m glad you’re keeping an eye on your BP. Do you have an at home monitor? Iggy measures his BP, oxygen level and heart rate on a daily basis. I hope you get to go to yoga class. You need to de-stress and a gentle yoga class will be good for that.
A cold front came through after the storms and it is only 23° currently. We expect to reach 40° today. Iggy’s back is not well. He’s going to the chiropractor this morning. I hope he gets some relief.

So glad that weather by passed you.wow!
no yoga today. Achy back. You have to get your metal chair off a stack and carry it to a spot …not up for that. Probably get exercise later going to COSTCO.
next project after fertilizing, find new survivor plants to establish before summer sun hits this area on the other side of the lawn. The other photo is east yard. This is just west of patio in center of yard. Yes, it is a big yard for here. Winter wiped out half . Looking for impatience which has not been available, blue sage, and maybe another zebra plant. Ihave to clean a lot of white hard water deposits first.

Love your fountain, Linda. Those plants look good, too. The squirrels have eaten a lot of our bulb plants, so we have to replace plants as well.
The chiropractor Iggy has gone to for years is closed with no notification. He called around and nobody could fit him in until Monday. Dr Teague would always see him the same day he called. At least the new one is only 3 miles away. Dr. Teague was a 30 minute one way trip. Our favorite sushi/hibachi buffet opened a new location closer to us. We prefer the chefs at the further location and will be going back there. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. It’s a nicer place, though, larger and airier.
I saw an epic battle in the backyard between the tabby cat with the orange collar and the chubby squirrel. I thought that the cat had him a couple of times but the squirrel wriggled free and went up a small tree. The cat followed. The squirrel jumped to the ground. The cat chased. The squirrel zipped up one of the big trees and got away. Elmer Fudd was in the garage and missed it. I was rooting for the squirrel. As much as he annoys me eating all the bird food, I didn’t want to see him murdered.

Chele, you have interesting entertainment!
The photo is last spring, I have to find plants.
My tail feathers are dragging. With cleaning lady and moving barricaded dog around after making sure everything is picked up and bathroom rugs in the wash and dog and spouse fed, spouse dressed, his bed made, I managed to make myself presentable and grab some cereal just before she got here.
was supposed to go to Costco after dog walk…well, things kept needing to be dealt with. Finally got dog out and not up for more than a block with leg tendon grumpy today. Started for Costco and my phone was gone! Panic until cleaning lady said it was in the entry where it never is.We had received a package of books from Daedalus online (remaindered cheap) mostly kid stuff for Xmas that was too heavy to carry around the side. So I had set phone down and opened the box outside to bring stuff in bit by bit .
By this time I swear I had over a mile of walking just in the house (50 steps one end to other). finally got to Costco and found a place where I could pull through. Pedestrians there will walk right up your bumper when you are halfway backed out! But I could not get the car through because cars are so much larger. Ended up going all the way around and carrying stuff from cart behind car behind me .then unloaded at home. Got to have another mile in between the store and parking way far from entrance. I miss having someone to drag stuff from the car.
By then it was feed spouse lunch and put away laundry from earlier and bring back rugs dried in sun. Once cleaner left after I corralled Minni who loves her to death, I put back some stuff we put away and finally sat! Phew. Thank Heaven we are going to the little Mexican place on the corner for early supper and kitchen stays clean.

Chele, sorry to hear there was damage in your area. You really got some cold temps. It was cloudy today, so it stayed in the 70s and felt nice out. Sorry about Iggy's back and the sudden closing of his chiropractor's office. That epic battle sounds like a Looney Tunes episode.
Karen, that's great that your regular instructor is back. Hope the bad weather moved out in time for your trips today. We're supposed to get some storms this weekend, but I don't think our temps will drop much.
Linda, your fountain is pretty. Love that shade of blue.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Scary that there was an EF1 so close, but happy it wasn't any closer than it was. I believe we experienced the same cold front and were just a couple of degrees warmer than you were this morning. We'll be back in the 60s next week. That's a shame about the chiropractor abruptly closing. I hope he likes the new one and won't have too much pain for the next few days until he can get in. We have also experienced restaurants opening a new location and the food wasn't as good. Maybe your favorite chef will relocate to your closer one. That must have been quite a tussle between the tabby and the squirrel. Too bad Elmer missed it. Maybe the cat chased the squirrel out of the neighborhood and he won't be back to your feeder. Arya is not a fan of bathes, which is the only reason she was not in the shower with me when the storm started. Giving her a bath is a 2-person job: I do the actual work and Dale keeps her from jumping out of the tub (she's much too large for the sink). So, she is right there with Teddy.
Linda, congrats on Bob's good test results. Many things can result in a rise in BP. I do wonder about your 89/69 last night, however--the 89 part seems low, but if you weren't experiencing lightheadedness, it is probably fine. Hydration can help with many things, especially in the heat you experience. Those little rice heat packs are nice to have. I love your garden fountain. Sorry your back didn't allow you to get to yoga. I know it was a relief to find your phone. You got your exercise today, especially at Costco. Hope you enjoyed the Mexican. Have you tried TJ's Power to the Greens blend? I think it's my favorite greens mix and got 3 bags of it today. The mix is a bit unusual because it includes baby Chard. I steamed some of it for dinner along with some of their Garden Vegetable Hash, plus mushrooms, edamame, and gnocchi. It was good for a change.
After our DeSantis conversation yesterday, Kathy, I saw him on Fox News when I was on the gym today. They only have video, but I think he was signing something to do with Jeffrey Epstein and sex trafficking of minors in your state. The guy is long dead, so I didn't understand why this is back in the news. I had great weather for my trip today. The temps were just above freezing to start, so no problems on the roads. I did have to negotiate around some debris from yesterday's storms, but it wasn't too bad. The 70s sounds comfortable. Enjoy!
The bone ultrasound went really well. In fact, it indicated that I no longer have osteoporosis and am now back into osteopenia, which was awesome but unexpected news. According to the technician, my risk of a major fracture in the next 5 years is now 3% instead of the previous 25.8%. It appears that what I've been doing is working. TJ's was more crowded today than usual, so it wasn't a particularly pleasant shopping experience. The store is the smallest TJ's I've ever been in and the aisles aren't that wide to begin with. I got in and out as quickly as I could and there were a couple of things I couldn't find, including shelf stable soy milk that I use to make yogurt. That's about the 3rd time in a row that they were completely out. I probably have enough to last me until I go to AVL in a couple of months, but there have been times they were out as well. According to things I've read when oat milk became popular, they cut back on their supply of soy milk and some stores don't even carry it. Not much on the agenda for tomorrow, but we were talking about vegan crab cakes and I found a recipe to try.

Our TJs is also really small. Yes, narrow aisles.Very nervous back in Pandemic getting food because even though they would not let people without masks inside, there were always some who had some kind of dr things about wearing them and the nose sticking out folks.
Congrats on the health shift to better bones! Yea
