This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and happy Leap Day!
I wonder how Leap Day (Year) got its name? We get through the weather yesterday with no negative consequences. Well, except COLD moved in behind it. Night before last I had to turn on the A/C because it had gotten too warm in the house for me to sleep. Then last night I had to switch back to heat because it was too cold. Lol. It dropped just below freezing last night. We're supposed to see 52 this afternoon. Two days ago we saw the low 70s. It's just all over the place this time of year.
Jill - good to see you checking in. When is spring break for y'all? Hopefully the kids will hang on and not be too jittery until then. Lol.
Not sure what all I'm up to today. Likely the gym a little later but for right this moment coffee is the priority. ha!

Good Morning All - today is my EASY day, but since it is, I plan Dr appts or whatever and I do have a 6 mo appt with my dermatologist. I also have a sort of farewell party at the clubhouse this evening for a couple that has been very active in leading activities in our community (like the CARE TEAM, Bridge lessons, Garden Club, etc). They are just moving down the road to another development, but I know it has been a challenge to find someone the take over everything they have led.
Lora - is it cooler today, but the sun it out. We got rain yesterday, but nothing like what you had. My mom used to call this "pnemonia weather"...warm one day and cold the next with kids trying to rush the season by wearing shorts, etc.
Jill - this is a hard time of year for students AND teachers. The good thing is that after Spring Break you can SEE the end of the year very clearly.
I think I will go take a walk since my walk with DD this morning was very short since she has an appointment for a hair cut. Hope everyone has a good day. Another month has just whooshed by....

Hello everyone, Lora, those high winds and rain and thunder rolled through here last night. I am glad you don't seem to have much trouble with your electricity going off, up there on that hill. Our wind chill temp this morning was 17! Yesterday it was in the 60's. What the heck!? Jill, I still need to take finished pictures of my living room, and then I'll put some before and after pics up. I'm really happy with the colors. I have been trying to jump on here all week, but just keep getting side-tracked. I cracked my tail bone in a little fall (I landed on a paint can  ) when Cyrus tried to beat me through a doorway, and I am extremely uncomfortable, so I'm not sitting much, just staying busy. The worst is driving my car. I need to get a donut cushion, because this could take weeks to feel better, and the ride to work and home is agonizing. I am cruising along at work for the moment. I can't complain, and I am working with a doctor that I have been working with for most of the years that I have been working here. I am just trying to make the best of every day, until something changes! I need to jump off here, but wanted to say hello to all of you. I'm waving to all and hope to be back later, RobinMD |

I hope you get a good walk in today. It is so hard to replace people who have put so much into something! I hope you aren't taking on anything too much, yourself, with your busy schedule. I swear, February flew by, didn't it? Lately, each month is whizzing past me. I hope you have a great day,

Hi again!
I got to the gym and got that knocked out, then stopped into the little Piggly Wiggly that's on the way home and grabbed a couple of things and now I have a pot of chili put together and simmering away. I made enough for a couple of days. I think it's supposed to be cool and overcast and possible off and on rain through the weekend, so chili will be a good option.
Robin - OH NO! A cracked tailbone is no joke. I did that as a teen when I fell at the roller rink.
It was sore for MONTHS! I hope you find relief soon. Power outages seem to come in clusters...Lol. We were out several times a few weeks ago, but thankfully the last few big storms haven't interrupted service. Or at least not more than the annoying blink that makes all of the digital clocks go out. Ha!
Susie - I hope you enjoy your walk and your slightly less busy day.
Waving to all of the "J" girls! What does everybody have planned for the weekend? We don't have any specific plans at the moment. We need to stick close Saturday afternoon, as they'll be delivering our beef order. Thankfully, I've got the big freezer eaten down and what little is left is organized and compact.

Hello again,
Lora, I finally went on and ordered a donut pillow....it won't be here until Saturday, but I finally got it through my head that this is going to be weeks. It has been one week and it is as bad as it was last Friday! Is everything of yours on electric? I lose water and everything if my power goes out. Now, if I have any concerns with an approaching storm, I fill a couple of buckets to flush the toilet!
I think this weekend I will be continuing the furniture arranging, picture hanging, and more cleaning. I am enjoying getting rid of things and redecorating. I'm not sure about weather, but I would like to start some yard cleanup if there is any sun and decent temps.
I hope everyone is wrapping up a decent week. I'll be back, but waving to all for now,

Lora, I can't figure the weather out either, and I'm not sure what you wear to work because of it!
Susie, it's hard when friends move away. I hope you had a nice walk.
Oh Robin, how horrible about the tail bone, ouch! Glad you got that doughnut ordered. I can't wait to see your before and after pictures!
School was okay today, then I went to the gym. Tonight MDS called, which was nice and do did DD. That was fun taking with both of them.

Just lost my post ugh. I know what I do that loses it. Just have to remember not to do it.
Robin, I hope that your tailbone gets better real soon.
My lefthand driver side mirror was taken tonight when I parked across the street from the dentist office. It has happened at work in the past twice at work. Ironically I worry/ worried more about that happening at work but no place is safe. Catalytic converters tend to be stolen around my area and my apartment complex staff wrote a note recently that cars are being stolen as well.
[Now I am going to have to take the buses tommorow. My sister said she would take me to the bus terminal but I asked her if she'd drop me off at this other place as may go a different way to catch the last bus to work.
I didn't have any definite plans this weekend but without having a car to come back to at the end makes me not want to bother anyway.
I have to contact the insurance company about it but unless the cost has gone up significantly I have a 200.00 deductible on any vandalism coverage and I ended up paying for the whole repair both times. Now I won't want to park around the dentist office again and I have another appointment there in a month. Ugh!

About to head to bed, but wanted to hop on for a minute.
Robin - oh no! I did that as a kid and now I have to lean to one side or the other to do sit-ups or anything like that. So sorry....glad you ordered the cushion.
Jill - how nice that you got to talk to 2 kids tonight!
Janet - that is terrible...as soon as I read it, I remembered that it had happened before to your car...DARN!
