Susi Praying for your swift recovery. Appreciated that you let us know how you were last night. Glad that Carol is close and you have everything in hand for your recovery. I can imagine that Lily was ecstatic to see you. Hope that you can keep the pain in check w/ whatever method you use. Everyone is so different when it comes to pain medication and interactions. Glad that you have options.
MJ Hope that yesterdayβs <Meh> stays there. Sending a warm hug and positive vibes.

Fridayβs intentions The Tax man cometh. Have all our ducks in a row, thus the appt. should be relatively quick. Will be glad to accomplish that.
Got R to gather up odd n ends of extra painting and trim supplies to return. We will hit the hardware stores before and/or after the tax appt.
Will give the fireplace brick a scrub to remove any dust from sanding the mantel. Will have to ask K for ideas of what color to paint the metal vents & fireplace door. Lol. . . I have shopping fatigue at this point of the renovations. And I havenβt even really started to shop for new curtains.
Was quite pleased. My Tarot student is an experienced teacher from the Bronx. She told a mutual friend what a fantastic teacher and reader I am. Always nice to hear.

I can track every BLT, stay positive, be grateful, and make healthy choices.
This week has been QUIET without the internet. We did finally get it back yesterday (I think) but it is still iffy and gone at times with the landline for phone gone completely. Whatever...we do have water for showers, plenty to eat, clothes to wear, a roof over our heads, and enough of everything we need.
I spent Wednesday afternoon talking to Maureen and Rosalie. Maureen's surgical site is still healing and makes it difficult for her to sit. Not sure when she will be able to play cards again. My husband found out he had two keys to the front door so a goal for me is going to be tidying the main floor of the house and the entry then seeing if Rosalie wants to come here to play cards one day a week if Maureen cannot play still for months to come. Rosalie can't host as the table we usually use there has her husband at one end and her son at the other using the table as an office center for the two of them. Rosalie and I might go for coffee tomorrow afternoon. I should stay home to talk to my daughter BUT if I do stay home there is no guarantee the internet will work and perhaps we can talk today or she can talk to her dad for awhile and talk to me alone at an earlier or later time.
Yesterday we went to two banks to get information I need to file the FATCA/FBAR for the IRS. To get a printout costs ten dollars a page and as I only need one number and the account number...they gave them to me orally and I will use the information on the online forms.
We hope to talk to family this weekend but only if we have access to the internet.
Lunch today was hummus, pita bread, fijaylee(wild mustard greens) with lemon-olive oil-garlic, and spinach and onion sauteed with bulgur and black eyed peas added to it. I am FULL! Might have fruit for dessert or perhaps for dinner.
As for the week ahead...not sure if there is anything on the agenda with the American Women's Club. They may have a meeting but doubt I will go into Beirut as the meetings are rather boring most of the time. There could be a potluck and a baking event and perhaps there will be a craft day but...nothing has been confirmed yet.
Hope this is a wonderful weekend for all of us!
Today's Weight: 163.2 - still working my way down...this is the year to get to goal weight again.
JUNE: I hope you have all the items from the store that you need. Any news on teaching and what your future on campus will be? Also, are you still teaching tarot?
SUSI: Glad you are home, sorry you have pain, hope the medication you have will be sufficient, and am sure your furry family members are glad you are there with them.
LADONNA: It must be wonderful having your granddaughter living so close to you!
MJ: Hope your <meh> situation will become a nicer one with something to brighten the day.
BEE: Hope you are doing well and am thinking of you and your family as I type
ANN: I know that being online is not easy for your eyes. Can use an app to have typed data read to you and then speak into it to have your replies typed up?
If I missed anyone - sorry.

Good morning. Tylenol is working so I will skip the stronger drugs. Need to keep it completely immobile until to-morrow. Then only to wash, eat and do my exercises until I see the surgeon on Wednesday. Eating and typing are awkward so no personals although I have read them.
S - Usual coffee B - Frittata w/toast L - LO pizza? D - Either tuna tartare or spicy dragon roll

Morning all, Its a nasty rainy day here in SC. Chilly, too. May as well be at work No big plans for the weekend other than a little straightening. Laken's house is still inching along. We'll spend some of the weekend seeing to some of her needs. Renee is out of town with her other grandparents and Mom. My son is to join them tomorrow. Got peanut butter toast for breakfast and a healthy choice meal for lunch. Dinner is up in the air right now but Randy is picking up a curbside Walmart order so we have lots of choices. One being boneless porkchops which would suit me fine
June - I still have to get my tax info filed. Now that March has arrived I need to get it in gear LOL I understand the renovation fatigue but all sounds so nice so I know you are glad you got it all done. How is the snow going? Did you have much of an accumulation?
Susi, I hope you are resting well and healing so you can get back to all the things you love sooner rather that later. Glad the tylenol is working! Cathy, Hope you and Rosalie get to visit AND you get to have a good conversation with DD when the internet will allow.

Susi Sounds like Day 2 is off to a good start. Thx for pushing through the typing challenge to add to our conversation. Much appreciated. Hope you found something interesting to watch or read.
LaDonna Hope that you can help move Lakenβs house construction along. Even inching along is progress! Am sure she cannot wait to have those last steps accomplished soon. Nice that Randy can join his little family at MBeach. It should be fun for all. lol. . . I also had p butter toast for breakfast. Not sure what our dinner will be. The snow basically a nonevent. There were some fat flakes gently falling for a brief time. Nothing stuck on the ground. Thus far, we have had no snowfall of consequence. We opened some ice melt and treated the sidewalk last week. We didnβt want any chance that the βladies of NYCβ might slip.
Cathy Counting your blessings does help. Am like youβ I give thanks for having necessities fulfilled. While I wouldnβt like to be without an Internet connections too long, I could make do for the short term. Lunch sounds absolutely filling and tasty. Hope you can host your friend(s). How does having a second key help facilitate that? Yes, I am still teaching Tarot. We initially committed to 5 weeks, but we are still going strong.

Good evening, all!!!
π° White Rabbit! π° White Rabbit! π° It's the first day of March!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...

Yesterday was A Day. A. DAY. And all of it belongs in those after-my-post posts.
I got a nice bit done on the new MousekeAfghan. Keeping my hands moving for something done for love sure does help my stress levels.
Today I made my list but found it morphing throughout the day. <meh>.
Coffee... βββ... time for an evening mug...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
Russπ€ΉStuff: We got a call last night from Dental Home Services, which provides in-residence care. Dental care is in the works for Russell - we've actually been talking about how long it's been since he'd seen a dentist (not at all since 2020 - maybe longer than that before then). The "catch" with this is that they require payment in full at time of service, credit card only. Russell's credit card, which is in our possession, has a very limited line of credit (from the liquor-ordering days). We're trying to get more information - is it just a checkup because they realized how long it's been, or is there a problem, or what - so we know how high to raise the line of credit. The minimum charge(s) - for their trip to the facility and a new-patient visit - is about $400.00.
MπΊB & T: This morning I reviewed a couple of web pages. They are tracking to be "a day late and a dollar short" on their prep. Their lack of timeline planning and proper calculation of how long the "back office" work takes is not my billet (to use a YM word for assigned task / job). Most amusing thing was seeing messages saying, "Mj suggests this" or "Mj suggests that" about things other than text editing and not only have those suggestions been implemented but I'm getting "props" for it. Yes, but... we wouldn't have to backtrack and FIX things if we'd laid this out properly to begin with. <meh>.
