🐰🐰🐰
March is in like a lamb.🐑 49° today. 70° by Monday.
Thanks for the start, Karen. Congratulations on improving your bone health. You worked hard at it. Oh, THAT TJs. I thought you were going to TJ Maxx. Our Trader Joe’s is also small with narrow aisles. Have fun with the vegan crab cakes.
Linda, Costco parking lot sounds like Sam’s Club. We park way out. You sure got your steps in yesterday. I hope you don’t pay for it today. How was the Mexican dinner?
Kathy, it looked like a Tom and Jerry cartoon especially since the squirrel escaped. I hope you keep your 70s today.
I made zucchini chips this morning. They turned out great. We have a small mandolin so I could get thin slices. You wipe them dry with paper towels, put a little oil and salt on them and bake at 225° for 2 hours. Nice and crispy. They shrink up like crazy, though.
I’m procrastinating doing my exercises, so off I go before I lose any motivation. Bye.

Chele, better you than me with the mandolin, as you know. Congrats on the chips coming out so well. Enjoy! We'll be lucky to make it to 49 today and it's been raining since sometime in the night. Fortunately, we had no outdoor plans today. We are also heading for the 70s next week, before we head back into the 50s again. Just like a rollercoaster. I'm still in shock that my scan showed so much improvement. I feel like I've taken the kitchen sink approach, but as long as something is working I plan to keep it up. Until you mentioned it, I hadn't considered that I have been to both TJ's this week, having gone to the Maxx on Tuesday after working in the greenhouse. How is Iggy's back doing?
LOL on Looney Tunes, Kathy. Yes, it did sound that way. If Chele and I are going to be in the 70s next week, I hate to think where you and Linda may be. Are you still doing Calm? I got really tired of Tamara focusing so much on the breath and have started doing the Daily Trip instead. I really like Jeff. I've heard good things about Headspace and am thinking about switching after my Calm membership expires. Any plans for your birthday next week?
Linda, I remember the days of masked people lining up outside TJs during Covid because they were only letting in so many at a time, and how many of them were wearing "chin diapers". With the crowd we had there yesterday, I kind of wished they were still limiting access. Is Bob continuing to improve after his little incident earlier in the week? What has Miss Minni been up to lately?
It's a veggie day here. I baked a couple of butternut squashes and have done both broccoli and asparagus in Elvis. Dale got the nicest asparagus at Aldi this week. It's very thin and tender. I will cook the shiitakes I got at TJ's for lunch and will need to chop veggies for the vegan crab cakes. I watched the first episode of Elspeth. For those of you who watched The Good Wife and/or The Good Fight, she was the offbeat defense attorney with very unique perspectives. I don't know if it will run more than one season, but it was entertaining so I'll probably watch it every week. I hope everyone's March is starting off well.

Chele, thanks for the 🐰🐰🐰 start. March came in like a lion here late last night with heavy winds and rain. It sounded like a hurricane out there for a while. Tom and Jerry fits better than Looney Tunes. I'm glad that rascally squirrel escaped. The zucchini chips sound good, but a bit of work.
Karen, congrats on the bone ultrasound results! I'm so glad all your hard work is paying off. We don't have a TJs near here, but I know there were complaints about the traffic backups around the parking lot when one opened downtown. Hope the vegan crab cakes turn out good. DeSantis was signing something about making the grand jury report public on the Epstein case that was tried in South Florida. He got a very light sentence and there have been a lot of questions on why. I'm still doing Calm and still like Tamara. The Daily Trip is newer and I really haven't listened to it that much. I tried Headspace on a free trial and it didn't click with me as much as Calm, but some people like it better. I saw a commercial for Elspeth and it looked kind of like a female Columbo. I forgot about it yesterday, but might give it a try this weekend.
Linda, our Costco parking lots are crazy too. I don't have a membership, but my sister is always joking about how much money her husband "saves" there.

this morning went as yucky as yesterday. Still no faxed order received by imaging. So we went and hand carried it. It schedules a week after y they get it because insurance has to ok a CT scan. They will call if that happens sooner. I hate having dr order delayed by a for profit company. Grrr.
one down. The Voltaren cream that says do not use in back, dr said is ok in just small areas like he has. Box says may take up to seven days to work. And it does get into your system through skin absorption , just not as much as orally taken.I tried it one and quit after three days. So we are using my knee Penetrex I get from Amazon or the company or CVS if in stock..sells fast. A zillion people rate it. It is arnica ( main thing they used in German when a woman tripped him in train station and bruised half his chest).this is a compound of other stuff. 4 x a day and I usually feel a difference next day.
So dr said not to take Tylenol every six hours as he has been doing that for days or Advil (ibuprofen). It is 2 extra strength T for the six hours, then 2 A for six, the T, then A. Lot less med, but he has been skipping. He also gets ice on it. I have those huge packs you freeze like PT has. He said later that helps.i think it is a bruised muscle or sprain across lower back. Hope that is all. He has been lucky not to have this kind of problem and is surprised how long it is hurting.
Got him fed lunch, paid the property taxes right at our bank, then looked for the flowers to go by the fountain..too early. But Lowe’s had the tiny sweet grape tomato plants. I got those, and eggplant and a container of cucumber and planted them later in my veg pot where the peppers bit the dust. So something good.
on to Walgreens, med of mine still being sorted from somewhere else. So I wandered and found a new heating pad. I just realized ours is seldom used and must be at least 45 years old! But we seem to want it more these days. Got a box of COVID tests. The free ones we have expired. I view it as like taking umbrella in case of rain. If it does, you are happy to have it. If it doesn't maybe it did not rain because you were prepared.
finally got to the rest of the laundry and was asked what is for dinner. Argggh.
Almost three and I am sitting a while...which was 15 minutes…out again
