.well, I'm up! Dog wanted out. I got half a cup of coffee and tucked myself back into bed in the serene peace of early morning. Five minutes later DH came in and said he dropped a pill and could not find it . We have a dog who finds everything, especially if it is not good for her. Down on the floor on my side hunting under the bed and nightstand …hip has all that extra fat and hurts anyway on hard surfaces. Go figure. finally got it with a back scratcher because it was under the head of the bed against the wall behind a surge protector. How it got there? Glad to say after a lot of maneuvering my knees will talk about later, I managed to get turned over and free of the furniture and up. Last week ,when I was about to sleep, it was a blue pill same color as his blankets that took half an hour to find…in the bed! He has been threatened if he takes any more pills in the bedroom.
Mr damaged back by the way got in hands and knees to look first and back up with no trouble. Must be nice.
Trying to get up ambition to take off the top pot, turn over and drain the pottery fountain and clean the white hard water off it and get it going again. Need to do that before planting there. Ick.

Linda, what a way to start the day. We were fortunate that Teddy ignored all pills, including his own.
I was more successful than you. I made coffee and took it back to bed for an hour.
Iggy’s back is still painful. He has been icing it and that provides some relief.
It’s been misting off and in since yesterday afternoon and this morning we had dense fog. It’ll make it to 53° today and 65° tomorrow, so we may have fog again in the morning.

Thanks for the start, Chele. We'll probably have that fog in the morning, too. How much rain did you get? Did you hear any more about the tornado damage? Has the squirrel made a return? We had one on the front sidewalk this morning. Not sure what he was searching for. No cats, so he was safe.
Kathy, I can relate to crazy parking lots at warehouse clubs. Somebody hit my car in the Sam's Club parking lot after work one day and then about a year later a friend had a loaner BMW Z4 and someone actually ran up over the hood in the same parking lot (and very close to the same parking space). DMIL used to joke about going to Costco and spending $100 when they just went for a can of coffee. The first episode of Elspeth did have a lot of detective work in it, but her actual job is going to be a lot more complicated. I'm anxious to see where it goes in subsequent episodes. I had forgotten about that Epstein conviction in South Florida. I'll be interested to hear what's behind resurrecting this since he can't be posthumously charged. Are they gunning for the judge or prosecutor who agreed to such a light sentence? Got to be political in some way.
YIKES on your early start, Linda! I'm glad you were able to find the pill and get it away from a potentially curious pup. Yes, it does sound like he needs to be limited on where he takes his pills. I guess he forgot about his sore back. I think I would put off the fountain work for another day. Maybe tomorrow?
I got the bed changed/washed plus another load of laundry done. I also did a rather challenging resistance training workout. Baseball games this afternoon, so that will keep me entertained. Due to the rain we had yesterday and the chill in the air this morning, tennis was delayed until 1 pm, so I guess dinner will be late. Oh, well....

Holy cow, ran up over the hood? Costco years ago is where a big old GMC destroyed my Saturn's bumper and the fender on one side pulling into parking space. Hardly a scratch on hers. Those cars are tanks.
Colleague back in my teaching days called Costco the $100 dollar store. Now that would be the $300 store unless your willpower is made of iron.
beginning to sound like back r us here. I have had a problem that sets off sciatica or just plain lower ache for 50 years. It may be talking to me now.
Bob does fine with setting up his pills.problem is essential tremor! It is wayyyyy easier to find a pill in the bathroom next to his bedroom. The bedroom is mostly taken up with the queen sized sleep number bed that adjusts, a hospital type rolling table next to it, nightstands! Very hard to get down and search! What are the odds that the blue one was in the blue blanket and the carmel colored one was on the same color Pergo floor?
Did what I could with the fountain. Boy that hard water stain was like three layers of dried paint! Our water is so hard here permanent press clothes come out of drier wrinkled even with Downey or bounce. Hate cleaning up dispenser from waxy Downey so I now use vinegar in the rinse..better results. so 3/4 of the white in my pretty blue glaze is gone. I think I will soak a paper towel in vinegar and press it against some remains white, cover with plastic wrap to keep it wet, and see what happens.
Also fixed two drip system problems that popped up.

Linda, glad you found the pill, but what a way to wake up! Hard water stains are tough. Chele, sorry to hear Iggy's back is still bothering him. It's a rainy day here and around 80°. It feels muggy even with the AC going. We had a lot of fog earlier this year when our temps were a bit cooler. Karen, I watched Elspeth last night and it will be interesting to see what happens with her actual job. I would guess she'll still be solving cases too. I found her a bit over the top and annoying, but I'll give it another chance and see if she grows on me. I liked the actual case solving part of it. I agree that making the Epstein jury report public has to be political. There are probably some names in there of other people involved. I'm sure DeSantis has a reason for doing it. Did you see that they terminated all DEI employees at UF? I guess this will be happening eventually at all Florida public universities.

Karen, how did your baseball teams do? I hope dinner wasn’t too late. There were about 8 tornadoes in the area. Springfield got hit the worst, but nothing like the tornadoes of 2019. The squirrel is dumb and has returned. Fortunately for him, he and the cat have missed each other, in our backyard anyway.
Linda, how is the back doing today? I know the pain. I first threw my back out in my 40s and Iggy in his 30s. You are dedicated, getting out the hard water stains.
Kathy, I can’t even begin to think about mugginess. Wow, on UF and DEI terminations. I wonder how long until Ohio does the same.
We didn’t get much rain yesterday. It was just misting. Today is sunny and 66°., but we had fog again this morning. Tomorrow is Iggy’s chiropractic appointment. I think he’s a little nervous as he was very comfortable with the previous chiropractor that we went to for 20 years.

Never been to a chiro. Dsil swears by hers, but you have to be careful picking people here with licensing if that kind of vague and my problem delicate disk.
i need to fertilize the citrus and Miracle grow the gardens, but not up for it today. Went to my regular nursery and got three calendula, two anemones, a red salvia, a black and blue salvia, dill, purple stocks and a chocolate bell pepper. Interested to see what comes of the last one. so there are bits of color here and there and by the fountain, and stocks behind the primroses in a pot because primroses have a very short life here. Stuff that says sun in other places mostly gets only morning sun. Partial sun stuff goes into filtered shade unless you like throwing money away and plants are more expensive this year..what isn't ?
waiting for Amazon to deliver my canned sour cherries so I can bake a Polish cake. TJ had then forever. Not now, drat. Regularly grocery stores just have them drowning in super sweet glop for pie filling.

Chele, what is this "back to bed for an hour" that you speak of?? It's not in Arya's vocabulary. Sorry Iggy is still dealing with back pain. Fortunately, the ice is providing some relief. Has he tried anything like Bio-Freeze or Penetrex? It's always stressful going to a new medical professional, especially if you have been seeing one for a number of years and had a good rapport. There are a lot of good ones, but some not so good. I hope this will be a good one. Hope you enjoyed your warmer weather, at least after the fog lifted. We had a little fog early and almost made it to 70. Ballgames this weekend have been mostly good. The Vols team is really good again this year. The Giants are in spring training and the games don't really count and it's an opportunity for some of the younger guys to get playing time in case they are needed to fill in for injuries later in the season. I find it rather amusing to hear the announcers try to pronounce some of the unusual names of the opposing team's players. We're watching the first stage of Paris-Nice on Peacock. Lots of familiar names. Are you going to renew your subscription for the Tour de France this year?
I didn't see about the DEI employees being terminated, Kathy. I'm afraid you're right that it will be a trend, and probably not just in your state. The thing with Elspeth is, regardless of how annoying she can be, she always turns out to be right. Like the DOJ guy told the NYPD captain, "she'll grow on you". I'm anxious to see what develops between her and the officer assigned to tail her.
Linda, we just never know on some of the things we can get at TJ's. I used to be able to get canned jackfruit but can never find it now. I hope your cherries arrived so you were able to make your cake. I know gardening there can be a challenge. I find it amazing what you can actually do and I know it takes a lot more work. I've grown the chocolate bell peppers and they don't taste any different than the other bells but are fun to look at while they are growing. We're growing calendula from seed in the greenhouse but only one variety.
Typical Sunday here with a load of workout clothes and a loaf of sourdough. Lady Vols played basketball at Noon, Vol baseball game started at 1, Giants at 3, and now cycling. Definitely been a sports day. In between I set up my new printer. The former one was at least 15 years old, so this one has features not available then. I can now print two-sided documents without having to do it manually and don't have to have it connected to the computer to print. I had to tell HP 4 times that I don't want autoship for ink refills. That part was pretty annoying. I don't print that much, so I probably don't buy cartridges more than twice a year at most. My eye dermatitis is better today than it has been for the last couple of months. Hopefully I can get it cleared up and won't have to see the other ophthalmologist or a dermatologist. Back to iTone tomorrow and then Tuesday is my big dentist appointment where I get 2 crowns replaced and one new one. I guess that makes it the Triple Crown??? Not looking forward to it.

Ouch wallet and jaw ..Crowns.
in nicer climates the black and blue salvia makes a nice tall background plant, hedge even.if I am lucky, I will get a decent sized survivor.
for anybody not vegetarian (lot of lurkers here) this is the best oven-fried chicken I ever Made from Farmer's Kitchen Handbook by Marie Lawrence . It will also give you stuff in dealing with game, pickling, fermenting and preserves!
pribably you could use this recipe for other meats or things.
