Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Here's to the end of another week! Sounds like we all had dicey weather as it traveled across the nation?
Judy ~ How great that your family is coming to visit! You are so kind to have separate cookware for your DDIL. My VBF has one grandson who is GF and also Type I Diabetic. She keeps a set of cookware at her house just for him. Though now the boys are teenagers and don't come and stay nearly as often. Congrats on your WL. Remember to celebrate even those "small" losses. I try to remember that I gained it one pound at a time, so losing it that way makes sense. I also have serious reservations about the new magical WL drugs! My DBIL is diabetic, and more than once he has gone to fill his Rx only to find them out of it - seems with people using it for WL the supply and demand is out of whack. Time will tell ....
Pam ~ So happy to hear that you are finally getting better! You have really had more than your share! I don't remember how old Leah is, but you did remind me of when our Cayce used to call us and then struggle to know what to talk about? Maybe it is that age? She wanted to reach out and touch us, but it was difficult. Thanks for the well wishes, the dental visit went very well. I got the tooth repaired and he did a fabulous job. There were several options open to us, so we discussed and chose one. He was also pleased with the outcome. We chose the least invasive and least expensive option and that's nice too.
Ann ~ I do hope you're at least popping in, so I wanted to send you a shout-out and wish you well!!
I also don't know why all the hoopla about Oprah selling her WW stock. According to our news reporters she is donating the proceeds to some charity, but who knows? I am sure it will cause the stock to fluctuate. Michigan was one of the last few remaining private franchises and the matriarch just recently passed, so I wonder what will happen there too?
I had a great visit with VBF yesterday. Her grown daughter popped in for a visit and it was good to see her. I have watched her grow up and she has turned into such a wonderful delightful young lady. VBF got presented with a new plan which is to discharge her from the hospital (to Outpatient) on Tuesday morning. She is hoping to have hand surgery on Wednesday (which is the only day he does it) and then go home (for good). This has been a long process and she is more than ready to see it come to an end. PT has her so very well prepared for her return home. They even had her DH measure the height of their bed at home, and then adjusted a table in the PT room to that exact height and had her practice getting on and off. Everything seems a little trickier with her other hand in a splint but soon it will be in a cast (hopefully).
I have been doing laundry and this 'n that around the house today. I plan to stay indoors all day. I have leftovers of turkey 'n gravy and mashed potatoes in the fridge to warm up for tonight.
I now need to go sit for a few minutes. BBL. Make a great day!!
