Sundayβs intentions If itβs thawed, I will roast a turkey breast. Laundry and/or some housecleaning will happen. Read a bit more of a book about Lily Dale, NY, well known spiritualist community. Author is a female Texas journalist and skeptic. (Or at least she is in the first 8 chapters that I read). Itβs interesting. Have never been there although it isnβt very far my neck of the woods.
B: maybe pancakes w/ strawberries L: Vegetarian wrap, string cheese D: Turkey breast, sweet potatoes, cauliflower & broccoli, lite apple crisp

I can: make healthy choices, hydrate, track every BLT, walk 30 minutes while reading
Yesterday afternoon I went to Batroun to walk and shop and then have some coffee. Batroun was bustling with people walking, shopping, and scooting around the ancient city. I found a pair of pants in a copper-bronze-brown color for fourteen dollars and they will add a bit of style to my usual jeans or zynergy casual wear. Hope to talk to our son and his family tonight and talked to my daughter on Friday so I could go out with Rosalie yesterday.
NSV: the pants I purchased were available in two sizes - 44 or 40 - and though the 44's were comfortable, Rosalie said that the 40's fit better and I should buy them as they were comfortable to sit in and looked like they fit while the larger size was "too big" - I would normally buy the bigger size but went with Rosalie's advice and now will figure out what to wear with them next time we get together.
Wishing all of us a successful week!

If itβs thawed, I will roast a turkey breast. I slow-cooked a turkey breast on Thursday; it was still partially frozen when I put it in the crock pot. It came out really tender (Toots is not fond of turkey and I didn't care if it got a crispy skin). We had it for dinner on Thursday night and I've had it for lunch a couple of times and dinner last night (Toots had something from our freezer stash).
cathygeha , I love reading about your shopping expeditions and clothing finds - and especially, this time, about the smaller size!

Good morning, all!!!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need... and for Susi's continued recovery...

There is an interesting play of gray clouds backlit with sun and even some blue sky this morning. The rain has passed.
Yesterday was a rainy day in need of a scented candle and ridiculous TV and NASCAR Xfinity (Las Vegas, so a 5 PM start). Son#2 surprised us with a call at 5 PM asking if we wanted to hustle down to MissMilla's school for the evening show of "Matilda". He had just been to the afternoon performance and thought it was very good. We declined with thanks; we didn't think that driving at night in the rain in a hurry was in our best interests, especially since we'd have to drop Pippin at The Plantation first. MissMilla is a Junior so we will check out school posts of pictures (we've already seen a short video) and plan to attend as many of her Senior theater events as we can! We chatted for a while as he drove to two of his neighbors' houses to check on water levels.
Today? No definite plans. The afghan is coming along well and I will be forming the second corner in just a few more rows. There's NASCAR Cup series at 3:30 PM. I'm not sure what dinner will be, but we have several options.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer in a sunbeam...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
MπΊB & T: There was no "contact" yesterday. I didn't miss it π. The first email(s) of the marketing campaign go out tomorrow morning. Just sayin'.
Russπ€ΉStuff: The dentist saw Russell yesterday morning so we got a call at 12:20 PM for authorization to pay the initial visit cost plus an additional $90 for a fluoride treatment to try to salvage some of his teeth. $425 total yesterday. The dentist says that he has nine teeth that need to come out. I mentioned that they need to get him to say YES or NO, not just "oh, I guess I should" or "it sounds like I need some work done" so he can't back out. Dentist says that he said YES. Now things go to the MVG-SN staff to contact the cardioDoc and get clearance for the extractions. No word yet as to whether it will be done in quadrants, half-mouth, or all of them at once. Cost will be $665 per tooth. So it looks like my guess about raising the credit limit was close but should have been to ADD $5K, not just to request a total of $5K. While we'll do whatever they suggest as far as teeth-per-visit, we may need to use one of my cards to cover what his card can't handle in one transaction. <π¦· meh π¦·>.

June - Hope you get your turkey done. Cathy - Sounds like a lovely day out and about MJ - last night was definitely not a night to be out. Ah, Russ.... Waving to LaDonna, Bee and Ann I walked with Carol (but not Lily) to the ferals this morning and then played with Lily outside. May ask Isabella to try walking Lily with me later. Will repeat yesterday morning routine after a brief nap

Cathy Congrats on jazzing up your wardrobe with fitting a smaller! size pants in a new color. I once owned a bronze/copper pantsuit that I loved. Looked amazing with aqua, peach, and neutral colors. Nice that you could visit Rosalie. Great plan for being OP.
Susi Sounds like you are managing your recovery well. Continued prayers for healing. Hope the Isabella is willing to walk with you and Lily. Should be a nice outing for all.
MJ Happy to hear that your Saturday was filled by NASCAR, knitting, good food, and a family invitation (even though you declined it). That afghan is coming together nicely! lol. . . Radio silence from T sounds good even though there should have been contact. lol. . . I also thought about using the crock pot for the turkey breast. We donβt eat the skin so browning it is unnecessary for us. I just finished making pancakes. Will pull out the turkey after I drink another cup of tea and finish cleaning up the kitchen.
RE Russ: Those dentist bills add up quickly.
